Well they are very good neighbours and the couple that live in the blue house were more than happy to let nextdoor build their extension if in return they were allowed to use the pool Will be adding lots to my next bricklink order! After seeing so many members towns on here i thought i'd have a go at building a little something.We are lucky enough to have a Lego room so after purchasing some decorating tables,various bits of wood and spending a small fortune in the Lego shop,heres what my son and i came up with.Its all simple buildings really,no big modular stuff as my son is 6 and loves playing with it as much as i enjoy building it! Most of the town is made up of off the shelf sets,some have been modified to better fit the town like the hospital,ive built it on the road baseplates instead of the raised baseplate it came with as i wanted all dark grey bases.As said i had a bit of a spending spree in the Brighton lego shop but we already had quite a collection of sets. Anyhoo,heres the pics- Work begins- The town layout- I added a little garage type thing to the creator house tp park the little smart car in then added a garden with a pool too! We scratch built the ice cream shop,included the 8398 BBQ stand here too. I added a mahooosive garage section to my police station so the 7743 truck could be parked off road. As said,the modified hospital- The pizza shop from city corner with outside eating area- I bought 7642 but didnt like the idea of a garage without a roof so i added one- Heres my bike shop delivery truck Thats as far as we've got so far,as mentioned above we still have lots of sets to build as well as quite a few other moc buildings too.Things are on hold at the moment whilst i build up my classic space collection but i'll be back with the town shortly. As a child it was always space for me,i couldnt get enough and most other themes got overlooked.As an adult,Agents bought me out of my darkages,tho my son is really to blame! Since last summer we've both gone lego mad and now have an entire room in our house devoted to Lego with sets from almost every theme!At the moment our main interest is City as we are building a nice little town however my personal faves are Exo Force and Space Police.Ive got complete collections of both themes.You cant beat a bit of sci-fi

I loved this set as a kid,i still have most of the parts if not all!Sadly it doesnt really fit in with my new town as most vehicles would struggle to fit Great review tho,thanks for bringing back some old memories!

Cant speak for the other Lego shops in the uk but as said Brighton has quite a few sp sets on the shelves.Its my local store and im in there atleast once a week so i know they have them

@KimT,took my combo a bit further! Great review TGping,Exo Force is still one my favourite themes of which i have almost a complete collection.Tis a shame it doesnt get as much interest as other themes.

I built this set a couple of days back,it looks good as part of our new town build but i had to do something about the roof,or lack there of.I thought a garage without a roof looked odd so i added one to the main work area,looks much better now i think.I did have to remove the crane thing but whos gonna use that anyhoo?

Uk lego shops were giving it away with every purchase over £50 last month,i got three sets lol! Good review fella!

Hmmmmm,not loving those legs on the ATAT.Defo not going to be buying this one,my son didnt like the motorised one we got for christmas either,we sold it a while back now lol!Im getting fed up with the endless remakes lego are doing,think thats why we've moved over to city stuff for a while.
