i read in the review on brickset that they were also given as free promotional sets in france when you buy a regular exoforce set. i can probably make exosuits out of these, xpods, the robo platoon set and a couple of classic space white and red helmets. *wub*

Yup. Right now I have drastically reduced my expectation and started bidding on used items too as long as the seller feedback is high and the description was "assembled once by an adult owner in a smoke-free home for display only." I figure the premium for a misb is only like $5-10 for ME. Afterall, once I open the box the value declined immediately. If it was only assembled once (this is based absolutely on the seller's reputation hence I only bid on high feedback sellers) I think it should matter little. It's like the difference between a virgin and a non-virgin. As long as it is not heavily used, I don't mind it being slightly used but that's just me. :/

I recently started ebaying and I have lost on all my bids at the last minute (usually like 15 mins before ending) which was extremely annoying. I am almost incline to think there's price gouging happening. I was bidding on the more popular star wars sets but they were hardly rares as I would think lego made plenty of them. In fact, 7264 is still selling in europe. Do I really have to go to europe to buy them? Does tru uk ship overseas? :P

I also like your moc a lot. Strangely if the shogun in the white outfit was the intended target and he is out in the open, why would so many ninjas attempted to enter the building? And why is the shogun fighting alone? It's strange that his men left him out in the open. And a white, highly visible ninja leader (or princess) is just too foreign for my taste. :/ (ninjas are supposed to be "special task force" hired to do things that are illegal). I think it would be more dramatic if the lighting was dimmed a little. Make it seem like it was an operation in the middle of the night. But then you won't be able to see the many great details of the moc. :(

Holy cow. It's ridiculous how fast some sets sell out. Highway haulers are gone from lsah and tru. The submarine set is also removed from lsah. The lego stores still have them though. I was thinking of waiting for another sale b4 getting them. I think I should get the tie collection b4 they run out.

to replace the battery you will need to unclamp the casing. there's instruction out there which shows you how to replace the red led to blue led. if you can open the casing, you can replace the battery at the same time. i will see if i can find the link. the combo models, mountain warrior and raging storm, use the light bricks as bricks rather than hanging by the optic fiber. i hate all the cockpits though. the windshields do not properly seal the cockpits and leave the pilots overexposed. edit::: found the site. click below for instruction on how to replace the led and battery. http://www.brickmodder.net/mods/space/Exo-Mod/main.html

unfortunately you are not the only mold of a 14year old. perhaps i shouldn't say NO, since it is too harsh. FEW is a better word. my point can be supported easily by sales figures. alpha team in general is a flop. KB toys still have sets from 2002. for eg, even bush with his current 35% approval rating would still have ardent supporters (from the 35%) like jonah goldberg (he is a columnist in case anyone thinks i am attacking anyone here). but the point is, 35% is still a failure. so yes, there are people who like savannah africa for a theme. there are 6-14 y-o kids in that group. but i dont think there are enough consumers who are in that group to make it profitable. the reason is given above, which is not enough kids can relate to a game park ranger or an archeologist (the last indiana jones movie was like 15-20 years go). i think it is important for lego to make profit, even a modest profit. If they close down, there won't be any lego left, which is worse than not having the theme you want. feel free to disagree. :-$

A savannah africa or a middle eastern desert theme will not sell well because no 6-14 year old kid ever play pretend as a reserve park ranger or an archeologist. if kids cannot connect with the theme, it will not sell. kinda like alpha team - what is ogdel's ice crystals? see what i mean?

I like Exo-force too. Got a great deal from the toysrus pre-easter sale. Problem though with the line is that the mechs have poor cockpit design. Almost every single mech offers little to no protection to the pilot. When I compare them to some of the MOCs found on brickshelf, the line began to pale in comparison. Instead of skimping on parts trying to get the cost down they should have designed much stronger product just like how they approached star wars. It could have been a much bigger blockbuster seller if only they designed better fitting cockpits and price at $20 or $25 per mech. i think spitting venom is okay. Oh, thanks for clarifying. I thought the general concensus was that it was a fake set since there wasn't any picture of its existance unlike the pre-release sets like 7706, 7707 and 7709. While we are at the topic of mechs and sets, can I also speculate the pilot? It's going to be hayato. Reason? Well, takeshi has grand titan and supernova. Ryo has uplink and mobile defense tank. Hikaru has stealth hunter and silent strike. Hayato has gate defender and ??? White lightning of course! *wub* Looking forward to 7713, 7706 and 7707. 7709 is too expensive!

I am beginning to think 7713 is a real set. Here's why. I recently saw the hi-res pictures of the upcoming summer sets, in particular the sentai hq set. I noticed the silent strike's number was A.04. now we know A.01 is stealth hunter, A.02 is gate defender. If A.04 is silent strike, then what is A.03? My guess is white lightning. It makes sense. C.01 is grand titan, and C.02 is supernova. Doesn't it all make sense now? :D edit: uplink is AT.01. my guess is the mobile defense tank is going to be AT.02.

Yeah, a lot of sites say this set is a fake. I think it's real and just like supernova, an exclusive that was not detailed in any of the expo or stores until it was released. It was probably one of the earlier designed sets (with hands) that was scrapped in favor of cheaper sets (without hands). And if the market showed favorable response to the exo-force line they are slowly released to the market

The sentai set looked overpriced. However, it is the only set with the sensei minifig and one of two sets containing the golden robot. Maybe it will appeal to collectors who buy the set for the MFs and sell the other parts? The bat cave looks awesome with the black batman and a robin mf to boot. But I think the batmobile is more iconic than the bat sled. You do get loads of MFs though including the butler and the alter ego, bruce. Again another set which I think will be bought for the MFs and the parts sold. The defense tank doesn't look impressive. The alternate model however looks like a can of whoop-megablocks mecha! I may get it just to make the alternate.
