  1. I too would like to have one if it is not too late. I missed out when this was posted as I did not qualify.
  2. Actually, I like the Brick Show for their in-depth reviews. Their close ups and long episodes make me really ponder if the set is worth buying. Their rating system needs work, I think they are just pulling numbers out. Still, I think they are the best Lego reviewers on YouTube.
  3. Probably on a Venator Star Destroyer in space above Cato Nemoidia. Plo's JSF is a short range starfighter, and does not have a hyperdrive of its own so therefore it needs to return to restock on a capital ship. ARC-170s probably are more versatile though.
  4. That's what I was thinking, it either had to be multiple accounts or someone who thinks 2 months is a long time. Who is FallenAngel anyway and what did he do to merit a ban?
  5. I agree because this figure isn't a Star Wars icon much how C-3PO or R2-D2 are. I mean TC-14 was only seen for a few minutes in Phantom Menace while our lovable pair of droids have been featured in all 6 movies. I think a chrome R2-D2 would have been a killer. Sure TC-14 looks fantastic, but it doesn't have the wow factor as some of the other options Lego could have went with.
  6. That's really cool and wish I could get one, if only I wouldn't still be at college that day.
  7. While I cannot say I've been a longtime member here, you definitely cannot. You haven't been here 2 months and you act like you've been here since the start? Please watch what you say, I'm quite insulted by your statement actually. If users like this don't want to give their own input and just tell others to shut up because what they share their opinion then I'll stop talking about this subject.
  8. General Grievous has been turned into a laughing stock. I mean he coughs a lot and he always can't get the job done. The Clone Wars animated cartoon before this series depicted Grievous as a feared, silent killing machine. I'm not sure what the producers were thinking when they dumbified Grievous in this new Clone Wars cartoon.
  9. Seemed odd that this news was released on a day that no one takes seriously.
  10. I only have one Imperial Flagship and nothing for it to battle with.
  11. Are Uruk-hai/Orcs and Rohan/Gondor battlepacks in the works? I see Lego is not afraid to throw alot of Uruk-hai in their sets and with good reason.
  12. While I admit that not every set back in the day had 10 cents per piece ratio, it is still a huge margin. I randomly selected 2004, 2005, 2010 & 2011 as the years to compare for Lego Star Wars. I totaled the piece counts for each set and compared if they met the 10 cents per piece ratio. I only compared minifig models (no MINI scale or bundles). I gave leniency for 10 pieces in either direction, here are my results. 2004: 5 sets made the 10 cents per piece ratio, 2 did not. 2005: 8 sets made the 10 cents per piece ratio, 7 did not. 2010: 4 sets made the 10 cents per piece ratio, 15 did not. 2011: 1 set made the 10 cents per piece ratio, 18 did not. As you can see sets a few years ago are much worse for piece for price count than they are a few years ago. Also I wasn't arguing licensed sets should be 10 cents per piece, but I was arguing that Lego sets have slowly increased in price while piece counts have remained the same.
  13. Well put, I know megablocks overseas are generally much more expensive than the states. Even for the smaller sets, I've seen Lego do some sneaky things. For example for the Elite Clone Trooper & Commando Droid BP, Lego uses 2 red 1x2's for the base, while it could of easily been replaced by a 2x2. Just little things like this makes me wonder if Lego done this on purpose to give more pieces to a set unnecessarily. Even a few years ago for licensed sets, there would rarely be a set that breaks the golden rule of 10 cents per piece. However most licensed sets are like that today, and its not uncommon to see City sets over the 10 cents per piece ratio. Also, I forgot to mention the misleading box sizes. The box size for the 8088 ARC-170 Starfighter can comfortably fit 2 sets (I've tried it). Whenever I open any Lego set, usually the box is not nearly half full. Maybe its to give the illusion that you're getting a lot for your money? I don't know.
  14. How does Lego make up prices for their sets? I just found out that the Bounty Hunter Gunship and T-6 Jedi Shuttle have almost the same pieces, but the shuttle costs $10 more. What gives?
  15. That's a unique hobby, I would very much like to see your smith work. As for me, I have a more simpler hobby; sketching and drawing.
  16. That's great to hear!
  17. I always wanted to mod my Imperial Flagship by purchasing another one to give it 2 decks. Never had the money though.
  18. Nice ship! I would add gun racks and gunpowder barrels to make below deck less empty.
  19. Lot has been sold. Mods please close this thread.
  20. Minias Tirith playset that is all.
  21. The rancor is amazing, I can't wait until the rest is finished. Can the rancor fit Oola or any minifig in its mouth?
  22. Maybe partially as Mace Windu and his fellow Jedi come through the door. Having just the room will make it awkward for the minifies to enter through the door.
  23. That's a very interesting idea. I would definitely clean the shelves if Lego did this. Theft of a $13 set? I was thinking one way to mediate the random content problem. I can only imagine opening one of these to find that I got a plain white clone helmet, a 501st Legion torso, and a 212th battalion legs. Lego could make the set have 3 clone troopers that will be the same with every set with the speeder bike and randomly include a separate baggy with a random clone trooper from the 501st Legion or Wolfpack. It shouldn't be anything new as Lego has done the chrome Stormtrooper and gold C-3PO.
  24. Thanks, I had an evolution of tactics from about 2005-2011 in order to sneak Lego sets. First I used to sneak Lego sets in my jacket, but that had a very low succession rate so I gave up on that. Even still today when I go to mall with my parents, they pat me down to see if I'm not hiding any Lego sets. The next tactic was to go to the mall with my parents and to take an extra pair of the car keys with me. I would buy the Lego sets and hide them in the trunk compartment using the set of keys. I stopped this after only one try because my parents caught me walking back from the car, but they didn't suspect anything. Lastly, the library was the ideal choice as there was a sidewalk that ran from the library to the mall. Walking from the library was too obvious, I don't know how I was ever caught. My only worry while walking, my parents would happen to be driving by. I can't imagine explaining that off.
