  1. I'd think she was killed because she was part of that blank middle group. She wasn't a town leader or a major past player so she wasn't likely to be protected night 1. Beyond that, I don't see much more of a reason. Also, sorry for my absence at the end of day 1. I ended up getting called for an emergency repair to a droid and I forgot all about our terrible situation going on in here. I didn't place my vote before I left so I'll accept the penalty votes. Honestly, as I said in day 1, had I voted it would have been out of obligation anyway as I'm not big on those day 1 lynches.
  2. From past lives, when I'm scum I make sure to most regularly to avoid exactly the types of accusations being thrown around. It's when I'm vanilla that I tend to be less engaged (not to give away any of my tells...). The problem with a day 1 lynch is that we have to groups we're going after right now. 1) Inactives 2) Noncommital I've already addressed group 1, the problem with group 2 is that no one really wants to stake their day 1 reputation on flimsy small talk accusations. Last game I traded votes with someone just so we could avoid the penalty. People hated it, but I felt it was better for the town then going gung-ho after a quiet townie. Of course the mafia won the last game so maybe we screwed up somewhere along the line...
  3. I think it's a bit dangerous to speculate about any twists this early. We literally know nothing except that we are all here. For all we know, we could finally see the flying pumpkin that shoots lasers beams out of its butt role!
  4. Sorry, I've been out of commission for a short time, but I'm back and engaged. I personally have landed on the side of no lynching on day 1. It almost always hurts more than helps. The only case where I think it can be beneficial is to rid ourselves of someone who is useless.
  5. Unfortunately, I'm afraid it's not that easy. Remember when he struggled to read Leia's mind? From the interweb we have this. "He was not able to read Leia's thoughts because she was not in the same state of emotional turmoil, AND not emotionally suffering because of specific information about specific person - which is what enabled him to read Luke's mind."
  6. After this game I'd say it's high time a few players get the mafia tag on their profile. It would help to promote the game site-wide and acknowledge those that have been so faithful.
  7. Captain Komek checking in.
  8. Time to meta game everyone!
  9. I have never heard of this set. There is the Robie House from several years back, but they never produced the Robertson House. Where are you getting this info?
  10. Can't say this comes as much of a surprise. Well done scum team, you played boldly as soon as you saw how the numbers played in your favor. At first I though 4 scum seemed high, but in the end I think it was mostly the unlucky town plays of killing each other that did us in. I'm bother by how many followers we had in this game. We were lynching people for tiny reasons like not posting enough or wording something wrong because it was easier than forming a unique opinion. The voting patterns were hardly utilized at all. Hopefully, as new games crop up (soon I hope!) people see the risk in taking the easy route.
  11. I'm not fond of this lynch either. It's not based on any scum tells at all. But clearly, your all sold so for out sake, I hope your right. *our, not out
  12. I already told you who I’d Lynch and voted for him. Mutant fly seems like a newb still learning the game. I think we e been too lazy in our lynches, anyone can attack the quiet guy or Th player who says something funky. It’s a great place for scum to hide and lazy town go right along.
  13. I don't think lynching Frankie is the answer. He is acting useless, but how common is it for scum to be inactive? They are the ones with a reason to appear active. Inactive players are generally (sadly and frustratingly) useless town players.
  14. To clarify my day 1 vote, it was a protest vote. I’ve not been fond of day 1 lynches so I decided to pointedly go against them. At this point, I believe we mostly are reliant on voting patterns. I assume there have been a few minor night results, but they likely won’t start leaking out til tomorrow so we are still on our own. Give the reveals of who is town thus far I feel the day 1 lynch only leaves a few viable scum suspects, that’s why I’m so keen to off the swamp creature.
  15. To quote from previous day threads, use the "+" button to multiquote and bring it here. Or you can hit "quote" then copy and paste the result. Keep trying, this game takes time to learn and reading others isn't easy. My advice is don't panic the first time you get accused. Many players throw out wild accusations to get a reaction. Just explain your reasoning and point out anything that seems out of place.
  16. It’s time we Lynch based on actual analysis. So far, we’ve waited for someone to say somthing that’s easy to jump on and then follow lady k onto the bandwagon. The problem is, those are precisely the mistakes scum don’t make. Look at the vote patterns. That’s why I’m still after swamp creature KotZ. His vote timing on day 1 is where a scum player would vote, especially now that we know the others who voted at the same time were town. He sticks out to me. From day one I’m positive there was another scum player voting for red raider, if not 2. Based on timing, KotZ fits that description.
  17. I’m just worried about this current bandwagon. Fhomess said something that wasn’t great, but it didn’t seem like a mistake a scum player would make. It’s only day 2 so scum players aren’t really grasping to look active. I worry the scum are currently just sitting back waiting for a townie to say something stupid and then piling on.
  18. Fair point, so from my thinking on the voting: vote: swamp creature (kotz) From my reading, we’re focused too much on tripping people up in their words or lack there of. Put yourself in the scums shoes. How are they likely to vote? Early on all players can blend in just by being active. But scum know everyone’s affiliations and vote accordingly.
  19. Ok, so for some proper voting analysis now that I've finally gotten to sit down. Lady K starts by throwing out a vote. Pretty typical way to start a game, nothing rings odd there for me. Notice the time stamps. All 3 with in around 30 minutes. This does not mean all 3 are scum, but I'd guess one is. Scum want to be in the front of the bandwagon to avoid suspicion. Also, they all echo the "easy" logic of "where are you" which is easy to back out of. Finally, we have the lynch push. I'd wager there is one more scum in this group appears to look bold and progress the lynch, possibly even hammering it. My logic when I've played as scum has often been "If I hammer a townie lynch it'll look to be too bold to be scum" Finally, I expect 1-2 scum outside this voting block as well.
  20. And that’s why I don’t like day 1 lynches. However, several people said we need a day 1 lynch so we’d have something to go off of so nows a good time to share your findings. As for me, I’d say we gave the scum a good place to hide. My guess is 2 scum were on the bandwagon with 1-2 voting elsewhere. I’m assuming 3-4 scum, with a possible SK or 3rd party individual.
  21. I'm not saying we should have a no lynch beyond 1, that's what ruined us last game, just that the longer I play the more I disagree with a night 1 lynch.
