  1. That's becuase they're imaginary! Why do you think the cabs hinge upwards? (mocking taken off) But on a more realistic note, doors are quite big, especially at 4 studs long when the whole model is about 34.
  2. It's a postcard in the shop - look at the swivel rack in the shop, at the middle back. And that tram looks like it uses the titchy train wheels. But someone will have to get hold of one to make sure!
  3. A medium motor should be fine. Remember that for shunters, Traction is the issue, not power. A engine could have all the power in the world, but virtually no traction, and be useless. As your doing PF, Is the shunter going to have connecting rods? and how many wheelsets? And A suggestion: Use a weight brick to increase traction, should you need it.
  4. I'd love to buy this set, but at £75, it's more than I'd want to pay for it. Besides, I could but a classic 9V set for that!
  5. It's a nice set... No I haven't but I doubt she'd want half of the Lego!
  6. Another release? So soon? No wonder you left the parts out! I think you guys deserve a rest for all that hard work.... I'll try it when I get home from work...I've been wanting to do a bit of "Lego computerised playing"
  7. I've never seen a more accurate and perfect Fruit D (or GWR vehicle, for that matter). When's the 'Bloater' or 'Siphon' being released?
  8. Or Argos got sent the EU ones by mistake. I really want a nurse, though, so I'm off to Argos tomorrow , where I purchased them yesterday, and buying 2 more. I'll start scanning them into a MS Word document. Any assistance RE barcodes would be most appreciated.
  9. The link is a direct copy of the one in the Brickset/Brothers Brick news article. Here is the link to the brickset article.
  10. As a resident of the UK, I can confirm the details: > the barcodes on this site are for EU figs only > the UK/US Barcodes are entirely different. I Have the Spaceman and the Ninja, and their barcodes not only don't match but also aren't on the list. > But I have noticed that the barcodes all start the same, so you only need to look at the latter half of the barcode.
  11. June/july I think, in the supposed "Second Wave"...
  12. Have you seen the price of that set? Plus it isn't very recent (i.e. within the last 10 years).
  13. Yep, in white. clear, or correctly, "trans-white" agreed. That street sweeper is just like the ones I've seen in Austria, which makes a change from the American styled sets that seem to spew out every year. Infact, the whole set-up has a european feel to it. Unfortunately, yes. Fans Choice? Exclusive to TRU? Any raise on the £100 minimum, anyone?
  14. might order a box myself....who stocks whole boxes for UK shipping?
  15. I just noticed this. Looks like the new City Train range is already being BOOKED! geddit?
  16. He's wearing glasses...but unlike the previous head, they've changed the glasses colour (previous head shown):
  17. Lovin' the carbonite mould! Much better than the 2x5 brick they used previously... BTW, did you notice the head's at an anlge on the carbonite block?
  18. The parts list is taken from Brickset's K10194 "Emerald Night Collection" #8870 -- Power Functions Light (if you want lights) #8878 -- Power Functions Rechargeable Battery Box #8879 -- Power Functions IR Speed Remote Control (Requires 3 AAA (1.5v) batteries) #8882 -- Power Functions XL Motor #8884 -- Power Functions IR Reciever #8887 -- Power Functions Transformer 10VDC
  19. SNIPPED I quite agree with the above points. Piece call out is the most important feature I'd like, on instructions and at the end (piece listing) as it allows you to see what pieces are used and whether you could improve the model. Piece number is also missed off. My computer is a dual-core with 4GB of ram, and even with nothing else running, it's still laggy. Star Trek Online, Railworks, and various other high-demand applications run fine... Group building (i.e. creating sub-assemblies) is the next major feature I'd like to see. Plus it also allows colour change for a group of same coloured bricks. PRICE is the main issue with LDD though. Exactly how much extra are they trying to charge us...?
  20. SNIPPED Shuriken are the thin metal plate weapons with sharp edges that you use like a frisbee, except to cut/injure people with...
  21. The Spaceman came with two windshields for his helmet...probably a spare katana
  22. Nice display - i feel cold just looking at it! Though shouldn't the tree be white at the top?
  23. SNIPPED Good spot! Shame there aren't any more detailed pictures...
  24. Not really - As the hooper body doesn't have a restraint, it will turn according to the ammount of toothed plate, then return - the 360 option is used as it means the tipping action is smooth. I did try to do a 'double rack', where 2 sets of toothed plate ran opposite each other (one facing upward, another downward) following each other to allow the hopper to 'tip' then return to it's position using only one gear wheel, but it wouldn't work properly as there was either too much (or not enough) space between the toothed plates. I still got a few options yet. But you can't really use a second gear wheel link on the other side as it's position would be where the body would tip it's contents into.
  25. you could always try having a tapered connection: [tram] [body] ./----\ .[----] .\----/ [tram] [body]
