  1. Impressive! I'm looking forward to see this updated, especially want to see some walls! Good work, don;t give up on this project, as this is a good start. Keep MOCing!
  2. Both ships look good to me. There has always been an idea in the back of my head, telling me to make a huge space battle out of minis. I haven't been able to do that, but you have quite a good start here. Keep MOCing!
  3. They still do! Anyway, I had this set, but I lost lots of the pieces. I agree that there should have been some enemy figs. Is it just me, or were LEGO (especially Star Wars) sets cheaper back then?
  4. The custom clones are quite asymmetrical, but I like the 'cave', especially the lamp in the ceiling. Keep MOCing!
  5. Awesome reviewer. Awesome set. Makes me sad thinking about all those sets I could have gotten at RRP. Now, the cheapest complete one is $120 or so at BrickLink.
  6. Beautiful! Since I cannot remember what the correct colour of the snowspeeder is, I'll go for what you said and MOCed; grey. And grey certainly is better that white! Great work. Keep MOCing!
  7. Hello, everyone! I made a short story for my MOC: Attack at Ethrrashk, which can also be found in that topic. However, this is the place for stories, so I post the story here as well, and this is the place to discuss it. It is a Story based around the MOC. (Or maybe the MOC is based in the story? ) Who knows? Anyway, it is set during the Clone Wars, adn the main characters are Torax (Wohoo I'm in my own story?) and Ampy. (Read the 'Characters' section.) Here it is: -------------------- “Sir, they’re coming!” Ray said to his leader, Sergeant Alazarin. “Yes,” he replied, not seeming to care, although Ray knew Alazarin really did. “Very well. Get ready!” Ray put his helmet on, and ran to his position behind a small rock. When he looked forward he saw a small pathway to the beach. It was only three or so metres wide, and it featured high walls on either side. The squad had been positioned here at Kashyyyk a day ago, when they heard that another Wookie city was under attack. As usual, Torax and Ampy had come too, in search for revenge, as they call it. Ray didn’t care why they were here, but he was grateful, because they were great warriors and helped a lot. Right now Dac was excited. His squad, together with Torax, Ampy and the local Wookies of the village Ethrrashk had set up a trap for the CIS attack platoon. To the right, on top of the cliff stood Torax and looked serious. Torax was one of the most skilled swordsmen Dac had ever seen in action. He wore a Lightsaber, though he claimed he wasn’t a Jedi. Dac didn’t care about that now, as long as the plan worked. He looked to his right, where Ampy was standing. “Are you nervous?” He asked her, trying to sound professional. “This is nothing I haven’t done before,” she replied. They heard Alazarin telling everyone to get ready, so they both put on their helmets. Dac looked out over the sea, and he saw the Droid Troop Carriers undocking their troops. He counted a total of fifteen battle droids and five super battle droids. A small platoon. He felt relieved that there were no droidekas, and he took his position behind a rock. The droids started marching across the beach, towards the clef where they were hiding. The beach wasn’t very wide, so it didn’t take long until they had reached the mouth of the chasm. Dac looked over to the left, at his sergeant. Alazarin waved with his light emitter, signalling to Torax that it was time. “Unleash hell!” Torax shouted with his deep voice. The Wookies on the cliffs, understanding basic, put all their weight into pushing a large rock each. A third Wookie, who had introduced himself as Chewbacca, started throwing torches at the droids below. “Uh-oh,” one of them said in its mechanical voice, that Dac hated so much. But it was too late. The wookies, strong as they were, had managed to shove the rocks over the edge of the cliffs, and the heavy rocks were now tumbling down onto the CIS troops below. Everyone on the battlefield cheered, except the droids of course. It was a cheer of victory and joy. The republic had won this battle, and Dac knew that this victory was important for Torax and Ampy too. The trap succeeded. Characters: •Torax (Lightsaber) •Ampy (Two guns, sniper, short antenna) •Clone trooper sergeant Alazarin (Small gun) -=And his squad of Null-class Advanced Recon Commandos: -=AN-V “Ray” (Visor, blaster) -=AN-L “Reed” (Long antenna, blaster) -=AN-H “Dac” (Long antenna, hip protection, blaster) -=AN-G “Shell” (Short antenna, grey arms, special blaster) -=AN-S “Subos“(Sniper, Scout trooper armour) This squad is a group of Null-class Advanced Recon Commandos under the lead of Sergeant Alazarin. The sergeant managed to train the failed cloning attempts into great warriors, and the squad now fights beside Torax and Ampy. The odd group makes a great battle team. Event though Torax and Ampy are completely independent in the Clone Wars, they fight with Alazarin’s squad and the Republic against the CIS. -------------------------- What do you think? Please comment! I really enjoyed writing this short story, and it might well evolve into something bigger. If some of you all have written a book before, please give me tips on how to take this short story one step further and make it into a book. Thank you!
  8. OK, my other topic got closed by KimT because I hadn't uploaded pictures yet. This, new, shiny topic is a new start and I have now included pictures. So I will basically copy what I wrote in the other topic and include it here, together with pictures... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hey everyone and welcome to this topic, which will feature and discuss my MOC; Attack at Ethrrashk. To begin with, I would like a moment of your attention to say that this is my first “successful” Star Wars MOC ever. Also, it is my first MOC in a long, long time… The last one I made was a castle back in Sweden… No time for being sentimental, let’s get on with the show! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was surprised how quick this was to build. An idea popped up in my head, and I tell you, it was the first good one in a long time. I started pulling out my boxes of LEGO, which I had sorted just two hours before. It was worth it! I don't have enough grey/black pieces to build perfect cliffs, so one of them is basically made up from a layer of grey/black bricks over a big bunch of yellow, blue, white and red bricks. The other cliff is also colourful on the inside, but a collection of grey/black plates were hinged over the colourful bricks so it looks like a cliff. Might seem confusing, so have a look below for pics. And don't forget to post comments on this! Pictures Overview: Bird's View: A 'What-should-I-call-this-view?' view: Featuring the Wookies on the cliffs. Chewbacca throwing torches and Unknown Wookie Warrior shoving a big rock: I spent a moment thinking about how I was going to make the rocks, until I remembered I have two of those 'pre-made rocks', featured in the Castle line. That made things a lot easier. If I had two rocks without that trans-orange patch, though, I would have used them. From the Droids' point of view: Looking from the beach, into the forests where those stupid Clones hide! From the Clones' point of view: The tree you see is a young Wroshyr tree. A cool shot: Shell and Ray are in focus. A close up of Sgt. Alazarin, waving his light-emitter: The legs are custom made. (With my little sister's red texter. ) Yes, he's supposed to be a Clone Trooper Sergeant, but he prefers to wear a Rebel Pilot helmet... I like the red colour scheme. Minifigs: From left to right: Torax, Ampy, Sgt. Alazarin, AN-S "Subos", AN-H “Dac”, AN-G “Shell”, AN-L “Reed”, AN-V “Ray”, Chewbacca, Unknown Wookie Warrior, Unknown Wookie Warrior. It might seem shameful, but I cannot remember every member of Alazarin's Squad's name! Even though I came up with them, I can't remember... If only we got this many minifigs in these size sets! Torax and Ampy: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The MOC has a little story to it... “Sir, they’re coming!” Ray said to his leader, Sergeant Alazarin. “Yes,” he replied, not seeming to care, although Ray knew Alazarin really did. “Very well. Get ready!” Ray put his helmet on, and ran to his position behind a small rock. When he looked forward he saw a small pathway to the beach. Please comment or criticize this MOC. / ? I will post the story in another sub-forum, as to not clash with KimT again. Please discuss the story in that topic. More photos can be found here. (BrickShelf folder) Thank you for your time.
  9. Yes, we have Borders, I'm sure. Thanks! On topic: (I don't want to go to the chamber) I'm looking forward to the book release, no matter if it's CW or OT or whatever. It seems like a good idea, and I want the book. Whatever the 'theme', the book must be an awesome addition to anyone's collection!
  10. Extremely good MOC. It features original and innovative building techniques, as well as looking good. Well done, and keep MOCing!
  11. Do you accept money? I mean, can I buy those figs you have instead of trading them? What state/territory are you in?
  12. Awesome! Well one, except that the front end should be thinner. Good work!
  13. The soul of that helmet will haunt you... Anyway, the book still seems appealing!
  14. Torax

    The Kote

Nice. This improved 'functionality' if you might call it that, as well as looks. I think the way they look like 'bumpers' gives the ship a better look. Keep MOCing!
  15. Where is KimT when you need him?! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jokes, I hope no one took that seriously.
  16. Nice vignette! This book is getting more interesting for every thing I read about it. Seem like a good piece of MOC-source! BUT HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO A BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL STORMTROOPER HELMET??!! Other than the DESTROYED helmet, this MOC is plain, but fantastic!
  17. I'll go for what everyone else have said; it's motorized. It must have required a lot of work and thinking, as the legs of an AT-TE are angled.
  18. Very well done, I really like all the details of the Boushh. Especially the helmet is very accurate, for being a cubedude.
  19. Sounds interesting indeed. My only inquiry about this is; can I only buy it from Amazon.com? Or will they be available in regular bookstores as well? (bookstores in Australia, that is.) Either way, I'm hopefully going to get it one way or another, and it seems awesome!
  20. Wow! I could never have imagined LEGO Store Events as awesome as this! I really wish there was a LEGO store in Australia. With that I mean an official LEGO store, like this one you went to, Pi. Congratulations to the Chrome Vader, I have read your review, and the minifig seems great! Now, let's hope TLG will focus a little on the rest of the world too in terms of opening official LEGO Stores...
  21. Nice MOC, but it's a little plain. It could use some cannons or guns. I understand you have used a limited amount of pieces, but a simple cannon from another battle pack would increase the looks of this speeder by a fair bit. Keep MOCing!
  22. Looking forward to see that! Good luck. I have tried to make a TIE myself, a few times actually. I couldn't finish any of them because of a lack of pieces...
  23. Torax

    The Kote

Good Idea. I would love to see updated versions of this!
  24. Torax

    The Kote

Hehe, that's odd. Maybe Mandalorian Starfighters are boxy...? Either way, good work from both of you.
  25. Nice review. I really want this book. It is a must have for any LEGO Star Wars fan, I believe. Can I buy it at any book seller, or is it some special book that you can only get from Amazon (or whatever)? Well, I hope I can get my hands on this as soon as possible.
