  1. To me, 48x48 studs is pretty big, and hard to MOC on without it looking bare. Maybe not everyone feels this way, so it could be changed. We should make a poll topic. With your permission?
  2. I just patched something together.... It is a rough start of what is to be the Star Wars Standard! (Hopefully.) Here it is: LEGO Star Wars Standards By The EuroBricks Community Written By Torax Hoth Rebel Base Standard Size: 32x32 studs Terrain: Not raised Corridor width: 10 studs Colour Theme: White (Snow) Death Star Standard Size: 32x32 studs Terrain: Raised Corridor width: 10 studs Colour Theme: Dark Grey/Dark Bluish Gray, Black, Light Gray/Light Bluish Gray (Metal/whatever the Death Star is made from! :P) Tusken Raider Camp Standard Size: 32x32 studs Terrain: Not raised Corridor width: 10 studs Colour Theme: Tan (Sand, Tatooine cliffs) Notes: Tusken Raider tents may be placed anywhere in the baseplate, but there must be a ‘corridor’ 11 studs in from every corner (10 studs wide) Republic Outpost Standard Size: 32x32 studs Terrain: Both Corridor width: 10 studs Colour Theme: White (the ‘sterile’ environment all republic bases have) CIS Outpost Standard Size: 32x32 studs Terrain: Both Corridor width: 10 studs Colour Theme: Blue & White or Tan & White (The CIS colours) Jedi Temple Standard Size: 32x32 studs Terrain: Both Corridor width: 10 studs Colour Theme: ? Dark Grey? Notes: Use lots of pillars!
  3. Indeed, but the models get wet...
  4. This has unfortunately happened before, last time also at TrU. However, someone else got an extra minifig once. :S Maybe TrU should be more alert, so all us customers that are actually honest also get a chance. I never shop at TrU anyway, but this makes me not want to go there.
  5. I think you read my thoughts there, this is exactly what I was talking about. With you permission, KimT and with a small name change of this topic, I would gladly lead our forces to the ultimate SW Base! From BrickWiki (thanks tedbeard for link): And we might make different factions. As KimT said... (also quoted above) Perhaps have different colours for different fractions? Tan for Sandpeople (yes I know they live in huts, but a Sanpeople Moonbase people!? ) White/black for the Empire Tan/white/red for Rebels But I think Black/Dark Grey/Grey would be more fit for the Empire. Maybe some PT? There could be White for the Republic and Tan/White or Blue/White for the CIS. Oh and maybe a Rebel Hoth base? White of course, with corridors and a hangar! (Hangar made up from several modules). IMO, it should be on a 32x32 baseplate, or maybe even smaller, such as 16x16. Should I make a poll to this, or start a new topic? Can't wait!
  6. Sign me up. So, will this be sent to TLC? Do we have any ambassador that could forward this, when we have, say, at least 100000 signatures?
  7. Wow, that's great! So the models are underwater? It's like a snowglobe! (Is that what they're called?)
  8. Yes but by standard I mean something people could build for fun, and then put together so all the small modules make something large. But of course it it also really fun just to build it and upload photos of it to the internet for everyone to see. (Not get together and put the modules together.) Basically, a standard so the MOCs fit together. Do I make sense to everyone? (I barely make sense to myself.)
  9. Aha.
  10. Awesome! I really get the 'just another day' feeling. The only thing that's bothering me is the use of a Red Guard. Didn't Palpanite have Blue Guards before the Rise of the Empire? Keep MOCing!
  11. Hello. I have a quick question/idea. I've read these articles on slassic space.com and ForbiddenCove.com about some modules. "Standards"... They occur in two themes that I know of. They seem really esciting and fun to build, but I am no huge fan of either theme. There is Moonbase modules for space and The Soldiers' Fort Standard for Pirates (There might be more.) Which brings me to my question; Is there a standard for building Star Wars themed module MOCs? (Or for other themes.) Is that what the Eurobricks Star Wars Community Build is? Should I create my own standard? Would people use it? Would the modules make Deathstar corridors, The Palace of Theed, a Battlefield, or maybe the 'streets' of Coruscant? Update Vote here! Please discuss. Regards, Torax
  12. Maybe not worth $200, not if the seller knows the market prices. ? I wouldn't have done it, but if you have that much $ laying around...
  13. Ok, it looks like I'll have to have a look at BigW soon, they should have the new sets now. No news from me, other than that.
  14. What's a WMKK? And are you interested in anything else BIONICLE?
  15. Yup, the Title+Description says a lot. I have loads of BIONICLE (sets spanning over all the years of BIONICLE). I don't want them anymore, but I want regular LEGO instead. Your bulk regular LEGO. Don't be afraid to ask any questions, be it posting or PM. I am friendly and will do my best to supply you with info.
  16. Thanks everyone, I bought the sets yesterday. The MT set was missing a few pieces, but nothing a little scavenge of the parts bin couldn't help. ;) The Trike had one broken piece, otherwise complete. Both came with box and instructions! Box for a MT set! Pretty good in my opinion. This may be closed now? Thanks everyone, /Torax
  17. Heh, nice work! I haven't played any of the games... But the Krimzon Guard Hellcat Cruiser looks like a fuse between an LAAT and a Swamp Speeder. ;) Keep MOCing!
  18. Make all upcoming SPIII vehicles blue and white? I really don't know, but the Insectoids had some awesome spaceships, so something familiar would be appreciated by me...
  19. I have at least two 2004 Vakama and heaps of other sets (some without masks), but ask for a particular set. I also have 2003 Makuta and half that Ussal thing from 2003, and some Matoran Kohli players, as well as Macku from McDonalds. And I have all the early 2009 Canisters=Titans, and all the Agori except the black one. And haps of other sets, both incomplete and complete that I haven't mentioned here. Pm or reply here for any questions or suggestions. I am mainly interested in SW LEGO, or give me an offer of what you have, and maybe we can both be satisfied.
  20. I have some of the sets you have listed, but unfortunately without canisters. However, I do have all of the early 2009 BIONCILE sets, if you're interested? I also have heaps and heaps of BIONICLE parts and weapons. Ask me for anything in particular.
  21. Hello and help. I have stumbled over some second hand LEGO very locally and I want to know if it's at a good price. Is AUD $20 (about 18 USD I think) a good price for a second hand 5510 Off-Road 4 x 4? It really looks like a great set with 285 pieces. Also, what do you think about a 7312 T-3 Trike for AUD $10 Crap, it looks like I've posted this topic twice. Sorry about that, could anyone please delete the older one?
  22. They took their time! As usual, BigW is a little cheaper than other stores, but I still want to go on and on about the unfairness of prices between Oz and USA. Anyway, the 'Coming soon section' is also updated, with The Stars and some Duplo and City. Look like we'll have to wait until Feb for the other half of the January line? :S
  23. Believe it or not-- BIONICLE! But I guess you couldn't really call it a 'dark age'. Here's the story; We had been moving really far, I was 12 years old, and it was a very busy time, but we're only talking about 6-8 months before I got back into LEGO again. I bought a BIONICLE set and I got into BIONICLE. I later moved on to Star Wars and now I'm sort of multi themed. Yeah. I fear there will be a worse time, after all these horror stories I've heard about giving up LEGO for studying for several years! Oh, well studying is useful too and I'll just have to prepare. This gives me an idea of another topic; "Tips on how to get out of your Dark Ages", or "How to avoid the Dark Ages".
  24. Me too, sort of. When I was smaller, I though Octan was a real company and LEGO had some sort of license! :S
  25. I'm in. I'll post here as soon as I have something good. Excellent idea! Let's just hope TLC hears our call and start making this. Rock Raiders is the closest we have ever had to something Steampunk-ish.
