So let me get this stuff out of the way, the portal gun design was stolen from Pirate Pete (who apparently also stole it from someone else ) as well as the super-colliding super button. Also, these pictures were taken with an iphone, a single fluorescent bulb, and a wind-up flashlight which explains the quality of the photos. Not that I'm making excuses, I probably couldn't do any better with the best equipment and lighting available. A turret from portal, mostly I wanted to just build this but a turret by itself is lame, so I made a couple other small things to go with it. I'm kinda proud of the design, it's one of the first models I've really thought about and tried many different approaches and ended up with a design I was happy with. I'm not a very good or active builder. I forgive you. To go along with the turret is a simple (half-assed) Wheatley orb on a stand, as well as a button to activate with a cube. Speaking of cubes, here's one with the most popular-with-14-year-olds silent protagonist, Chell. the cube uses this design. If I had any of those new 2x2 jumper plates with one stud, I would have used them and put red 1x1 tiles on them at angles to represent the companion cube's hearts, but alas... and an especially bad picture showing (highlight to read the spoiler)glados in potato form attached to chell's portal gun, which should have been tan but the only one I could find in tan was broken and couldn't keep a stud in the bottom :/ It should have been easy to find another one but one of my little brother's favorite things to do is to dump buckets of legos back into the big drawer after I've sorted them. Come to think of it, the reason that switch base was broken was because he had chewed it. Makes you wonder why I bother building these things for him to play with... Anyway, I hope everybody can tell what's going on in the pictures. I also hope I deeplinked properly, and my spoiler was effective :p

It was a quote from the game!

Competing site? Uh, ok. Some of those models are great, including some that didn't get posted here. The y-wing/v-19 and the firespray/tie fighter are both amazing.
-
The thread is two years old, but it had been less than two weeks since the last post.
-
Someone posted their own tattooine MOC and it reminded me of this one! Any new updates?
-
Great model, the individual ships would even be great MOCs if you finished them. The TIE cockpit is great using the dome piece instead of the usual printed brick, even if it's white.
-
GG's fighter and the N1 have the same basic shape. If the creator used engines more like those from a naboo fighter set, it would be more recognizable. And the color scheme while nice throws it off even more.
-
A green coruscant taxi with a couple aliens would be cool. Someone made a pretty good model for the rides contest that looks like the taxi.
-
I'm not seeing any naboo fighter.
-
The back looks really narrow to me. Even a couple of simple brown 1x2 slopes might look good for the engines.

Standard sets as in sets from lego? There's no official or consistent scale. It's just what looks best with the size you're going for. You can set a scale for yourself, in case of this thread 1 stud= 50 meters, or for a scale closer to minifig scale 1 stud= 1 foot, though you are gonna run into some troubles with the difference in ratios between humans and minifigs.
-
Wow, fifty meter guns! Any plans to do more?

Everything about this looks really good, except the legs... They just look small and silly to me. If you can imagine the AT-AP's 3rd leg and how it folds up, that would look better in my opinion.

I think the simplest way I can phrase my reaction to this post is you hold UCS sets in too high a regard.
-
I hated the show the one time I watched it, but that is a very good Charlie Sheen fig you've got there.
-
The naboo fighter looks great, except for all those stickers. Also, that's a spiffy droideka, even if it's huge.
-
The previous yoda sculpture was number 7194, as well as being a UCS set.
-
Disappointed that we don't know how you did it, and it takes four posts for you to explain? Yeah, alright. Photoshopping the faces would be cheating, yes. But designing it on a computer isn't, however you apply it to the minifig.
-
Those look really good. Decals?
-
That should be correct, looks to be a render from the movie. But I meant the width.
-
Looks rather narrow, or is it supposed to be that size? I'm not exactly an expert.
-
Everybody can appreciate a huge well-done MOC, but sometimes you just wanna see it smash

Cute. I like the gloves especially, the body could be more orange but it is a relatively rare color.

Seeing as how this topic has been revived, any chance of seeing a picture of the mandalorians together along with the one from the battle pack?

Well, I wasn't expecting you to go and start changing stuff on it, especially since you said it was old. I assumed it was already in pieces I think it looks fine as it is, just using plates in the future might be something to consider. If you look at the ISD sets, the outsides are all plates set at angles, and if you can imagine it built mostly out of stacked bricks, you can see why SNOT is preferable sometimes.
