I've been buying 100 of every color that's appeared on PAB so I never have to worry about them. I have red, white, magenta, and dark azure. I can't wait until the day I can buy a whole tub full of black, blue, and yellow feathers!

New Elementary confirmed it. The feather is dark tan! Now if it could just be back in black...
-
It's really hard to tell whether it's dark tan or pearl gold. I looked up pictures of the real car. It looks like the engine was actually gold, but those wires were black. So they could have brought back the black feather instead! But I suspect it's pearl gold.

Came back recently to the LEGO hobby after a 8 year long absence.

I stopped using the Lego subreddit probably 10-15 years ago because it was just pictures of boxes. Eurobricks is still the best place to discuss Lego as far as I'm aware, but it's not as active as it used to be. I think the hobby in general has largely turned into mindless consumerism. That being said, do you have any builds to share with us? -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 30. Rumors and discussion

The silver mace is a welcome addition. I'm trying not to get my hopes up after the Majisto's Workshop and Sea Serpent letdowns, but that's a very specific part I've been waiting for. -
2026/27 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
jodawill replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yeah, the shield is massively disappointing. The Black Knights are my favorite castle faction and I've been hoping for a new version ever since they introduced the new shield design in 10305. I never had much hope for this set as a GWP, but I was really hoping for those shields. The Zelda shields are awful. Even if you like the shape, the handle style greatly reduces its functionality. It's such a poorly designed piece. Now I have no hope for the future of Black Knights because there's no chance they're going to give us a different shield in a future set after this. We'll probably get a new Black Knight's Castle and it's going to look like dog crap, like this set. The only positive thing about this set is the sail, but I'm not going to spend $180 to get that, and it's really too small to be useful anyway. I'm extremely disappointed. We've waited so long for this. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion

Yeah, I agree with danth. This is an extremely boring set. It doesn't seem to be a very compelling pinball experience. The minifigure has mostly been released already and now I'm extremely annoyed that I bought the ones with yellow hands, not that it was one of my top color choices anyway. I didn't have high expectations for this set, but it's underwhelming no matter how you look at it. I was really hoping we would at least get a couple good classic space parts out of it, but there's absolutely nothing here I'm interested in buying. I don't know who this set is for. -
A Creator pirate ship is coming this year. No other info yet.

Lego Smart Brick General Discussion/Concerns Topic
jodawill replied to a_clay_brick's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I agree with everything danth said, but I'd also add that this is just a gimmick that kids will get bored of after a couple days, especially with the friction of needing to constantly recharge the battery. It looks like the sets are priced about $40 per smart brick above what they would normally sell for. I can't imagine many parents are willing to pay that much for it. Comparing this to the introduction of the minifigure is just laughable. I think a large part of why people are so vocal about this. If they just silently dropped it, no one would really care. As a parent, I find it concerning that Lego has been actively discouraging kids from using their own imaginations for years. You can't even buy a box of basic bricks anymore. My son was really excited about the Mario sets for a while, but once he started taking them apart, he found there wasn't much he could do with the pieces that came with them. He told us to stop buying them for him and he went back to Duplos because he has a better part selection in his collection (he's 9 years old). When I was a kid, sets always had pictures of other creations on the back - not alternate builds, but just ideas to spark your imagination and get you thinking about the other possibilities. Today, sets have so many small special parts and such a large variety of colors that it's hard for kids to build up a small collection of useful pieces for building basic stuff. AFOLs hate things like BURPs and POOPs because they're too specialized, but in reality, they served as a great starting point for kids who build their basic bricks around them. Now everything is made from such small parts, and from such a vast variety of molds, kids don't feel the same inspiration when they look at their tubs. The smart brick is just the next step away from encouraging kids to use their own imaginations. Last night, I set my phone down in front of my kids at dinner and played the Beyond the Brick videos for them. I didn't say anything. I wanted to hear their genuine reactions. They did think it looked really cool. But as a parent, it's not really something I'm interested in buying for my kids. -

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

Yeah, the Harry Potter horse. I'd like to buy a bunch of them for my cavalry. I've almost given up hope now that they'll show up. I didn't realize they were on PAB in 2019. I guess I missed out. You might as well buy them from Bricklink at these prices. The smaller one is almost $9. It's a lot cheaper on Bricklink. -

Is there any news on the August parts? I've been waiting over a year for the white horse to appear. It was introduced in a June set last year and it's being discontinued this year. We're also still waiting on the skirt from the Medieval Town Square. -

I just got a USPS email saying my October PAB order is finally being delivered on Saturday. 110 days. That's absolutely insane. I'm still waiting on more parts I ordered for Brickworld a few days later. I'm not going to have much time to build my display before the show. -
