I thought this was kinda funny, especially since it was on the back of the Lego magazine that just came. Someone needs to be more carefull with the scene/rendering process. :-D But I agree this line needs more sets in a bad way if it's going to sell.
  2. I hope this is the right forum. I have a problem, and since I don't have a Lugnet user acount, I was wondering if someone would post this in the CAD forum, probaly under POV-Ray(or if you have a better idea of where it should go), and provide me a link to that post. Thanks again. Heres my problem: So I am working on a moc scene and everyone is coming along nicely(that is once I remembered how to render mpd files so that everything shows up |-/ ), but I have run into a slight problem. :'-( See in MLCAD there is the proper number of figs in the scene, however, when I render it with POV-Ray, it clones the News Reporter and the camera man(the two blue guys on the left hand side). What makes it worse is that the clones end up right were the other fig is with the same orientation as that fig. *wacko* Sorry I know that makes no since, but if you look at the pic it does. The real camera man is on the far left, and the real reporter is to the right of him. I have searched through the POV-Ray file, but to no avail.... I haven't encountered any duplicate data when I have scrolled through, and at the moment I will be unable for a week to do a more intensive search. Has anyone ever encountered this problem before? Heres the scene: Moc Scene **Side note: If there is anything in this scene you want to know more about, just ask and i'll be glad to post images and info of it. And just so everyone knows, these are all my ideas, only the road is my idea on how to make roads. X-D **
  3. Thanks for that, though i'm still not quite sure, since there are a lot of simular models. I haven't come across any 3 truck models that fit that 7755's profile. If someone would be willing to post the following on 1000steine, I would appreciate it. I hope it makes since, since i've only been taking german for 6 months now :-$ . Feel free to fix any errors. It is a refreasing of my orignal question. Hallo. Ich errichte ein Modell Satz 12v 7755 der Diesellokomotive und ich suche nach etwas Informationen. Ich wundere mich, wenn jemand wei
  4. Dacta, as it used to be known, has been around for quite some time(IE all the way back to the old flat top and bottom round 4.5v motors). Me and my siblings have gotten a few sets over the years starting with one(actually this may be it) like this: http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/1032-1 We also got a set that had the Technic Control center(#2 I think, it has yellow and red buttons and is 9v), that came with the old 4x5 9v motor. So not quite what you would expect for education.
  5. I'm wondering if anyone knows what DB diesel locomotive set 7755 is based on? I am building a model of it and I want to base it on the real locomotive. When I get more time i'll post this question in German for someone to drop on the 1000steine forms for me. Thanks... 3D Lego
  6. Looks like a track maintainace machine, possibly a gravel compactor. Otherwise very good.
  7. By the way has anyone thought about modding the new RC trains to pick up 9v power for constently power metal track? Feed it directly into the battery box form eather metal wheels or metal covered wheels. That might be they answer we are all looking for.
  8. The truck and the car are okay, but I like the Forklift much better. Especially since it's got the propane(or Natural gas or whatever it is) tank just like the new street sweeper. Okay how about the Passenger Train? Well heres the images: And the complete set: Well first things first. >Track 4 straight and 16 curved. Thats the oval. I do recall that the High Speed Train only had 16 curved rails. Better bargin. >Minifigs 3(thats all I see) 1 engineer and 2 Passengers(not even a single female >:-( ). >Station platform is simple, but it does have a garbage can and 2 green seats. >RC controler with support to run multible trains on different signals via Inferred. Forward and reverse. Built in speaker. >Cars(wagons) 2 engines, however the powered engine is longer then the non-powered one. 1 coach car. The cars look fairly simple, but have a fair amount of the peices they do have. >1 New 9v train motor with technic axles that allow anything that has a technic axle hole to be put on(BB wheels anyone?). The decertive motor clips are missing the center stud to acomindate the axle. It also has slip-action when first started. Note the picture doesn't show the new motor and clips. There you have it. An overall better bargin then the High Speed Train. By the way the link below is to a gallery of photos a guy took of preproduction models at a convention. Train Images for convention
  9. If you look closely at the provided images of the new Cargo Train there is a fair amount of stuff in that set, more then most of the 9v sets, excluding the freight sets(yellow/black, red/grey, red/black, green/grey). For example: This shows you what comes in the box. 20 curved, 8 straight, 2 switching: I personally think it's reasonably priced. Just think about it. >Track: 20 curved, 8 straight, 2 switching. >RC controler with support to run multible trains on different signals via Infered. Forward and reverse. Built in speaker >Vehicles and Accesories: Forklift, Flatbedtruck, Car, 3 Plates with cargo(50 gallon drums, 2 enignes, gas cyclinders. >2 Sloped approach ramps and flaft plates for railcrossing. >5 Minifigs(4 workers and 1 engineer- Thats what I counted in the image). >4 Cars(Wagons) 1 center-dumping red hopper car(I think), 1 red refridgerator box car(with the old sliding doors. :'-) ), 1 flatbed car, and 1 crain car with cab on one end. >1 green electric freight Engine. Uses window piece from red crocidile locomotive and from red/grey freight train. 4 green doors. 2 new buffer piece. >1 Battery box built into a 32 stud baseplate(correct me if i'm wrong) with Infered pickup and signal decoding. And the best part. *sweet* >1 New 9v train motor with technic axles that allow anything that has a technic axle hole to be put on(BB wheels anyone?). The decertive motor clips are missing the center stud to acomindate the axle. It also has slip-action when first started(I want one REALLY BADD!!) All for a grand total of $150 US. I think it's worth it. Thank you ILTCO for the images. By the way these are the new track sets: Done reading? Now drool over this(note the new motor and the first new removeable wheels):
  10. Humm this is a hard desicison............ |-/ Love the look of 7755, but as to never owning any 12v trains(I only have a 4.5v battery train 7722-small black engine with red battery box, red & yellow box car, and flatbed). Alas I went with the BNSF GP38-2. When I first sall that loco I couldn't believe my eyes. Yes the Santa Fe F7 Super Chief model was great, but I never have really been a fan of F units. The cool thing about the BNSF loco besides owning one, is that I live in Washington so there is a huge presence of BNFS in the area, and plus before the merger I used to see those locomotives all the time in the old Burlington Northern Green and Black colors. Heres an example of what I have seen/currently see: http://www.marketmaker.net/cnw/bnsf2.phtml Yes I have even see the elusive dark green(not dark blue/green) and creamy white with red pinstripe exectutive paintscheme. I see Dash 9's on a regular basis. But however, My most favortie locomotive is the General Electric EF4 Electric Freight Locomotive also know as "Little Joe"(named after Joseph Stalin when they were orignally supposed to go to the Trans Siberian Railway). I have actually seen the Loco in person thats in this Pic, and it's HUGE!!!! This one belonged to the now long bankrupt and gone Chicago Milwaukee St. Paul & Pacific Railway(Milwaukee Road). Thats like a 4ft fence in the photo:
