Yeah, buying a $100+ set, thats something you forget... My last Star Wars purchase was Lukes Landspeeder (new one) and to clone battlepacks (new ones)

Okay guys, 2011 summer star wars sets have popped up nearly all over the world by now, except in North America. No one knows where or when they will strike first, but it is our duty as Canadians to watch out and keep each other informed of possible locations of the sets. When you see 'em, please let us all know. Where counting on you!

lets not get carried away, SW is a whole galaxy of mainly vehicle-based sets and iconic characters and ships. Whereas Avengers would be a couple of buildings and "fight" sets and maybe a vehicle of two, Avengers would have to rely on minifigures, and not a lot of inspiration for sets will give this license a maximum of maybe three waves.

okay, the shield generator looks stupid IMO , I wasn't really asking what it was, just that it looked bad, I did see your earlier post that linked to a picture of it deploying a sheild, but I didn't think everyone would be able to know what I was talking about if I said shield generator I think it's a good idea to release sets in tandem, I just wish they were released a little closer together, if back in 2006 (?) they told me they would release an interior hoth set in 2011 that would look great with 7666, I would've wither told them they were mad, or I would've bought the set. But now it's to late unless I'm wiling to pay crazy ebay/bricklink prices This didn't even dawn on me, the Hoth rebel battlepack is still widely available, 14 extra dollars to put a vehicle in your hanger and populate your rebel base, not a bad idea!

I don't know, TLC seems to have decided on a design for that turret a while ago, they always use 6-wide dishes, I don't know why they would stop now, but I see the resemblance.

Is it bad if I'm turned on by that video? I think playing as catwoman will be like playing as the joker in arkham city, not a lot, but enough to keep you entertained. They might just be the challenges we've heard about. I think she was incorporated well into the game. Penguin is okay so far, but the vent is just stupid, those things gross me out.

Thanks for the news, but IMO this set is really lacking. I'll make a list to make it easier to read what I see Bacta Tank room, with the medical bed? thing next to it, looks like it swivels which would be good Next to that is the control room, The one big trans piece is nice, but it will most likely be a sticker. Behind these two modules, it looks like the used BURPs to achieve the walls, that would be okay, except for the fact that they are dark bley, whcih kinda ruins effect Theres a weapons rack between medbay and control room, so when the rebel soldiers need to fight off the imperials, they can grab their... oh wait Above the right side is a cat walk Underneath the cat walk is what looks like a transport system for boxes to the left of that is a double radar dish, which looks really lame IMO underneath that is a door with poles sticking out, I hope that TLC isn't trying to pass those off as icicles, cause the ones in Wampa cave were much better. To the left of that is a copy of the door with more boxes on top Leads me to believe that the boxes have some way of traveling from there to the catwalk and/or back again To the left is a tall structure that leads me to believe that that is the front door The AA guns look really pitiful, and they are most likely place on the front facade even further right is a weird looking turret which I hope to god that TLC isn't trying to pass that off as the Ion cannon, I would lose all faith in TLC The two black bars on the ground near the front door look like a track system a la indiana jones boulder? however, if you look on the weird looking module, it appears as though it is holding a tauntaun reins piece, which leads me to believe that the front door area is like a holding pen for the tauntaun Lastly there is a weird power generator thing in the front left corner, next to which is a big gap, and I have no idea what these things are. Leia looks as though she'll have all new prints though for her jacket, and Han might use the series 5 eskimo hood!

I could easily see the Heli-carrier as the flagship set for the release, I hope they have a really cool battle ontop of it like they did in Spider-Man web of shadows, that would make a great set! flying carrier with a bunch of superheros and villans, I'm so excited just thinking about it! I think that if it will happen, TLC will leak a finalized-ish proto-type figure, probably Iron Man, whihc will let us know if the license went through or not as they do with big franchises. We saw the Indiana Jones figure around maybe 8 months before we got info on the sets, same goes for Jack Sparrow and the POTC line, so it would be fitting.

I think most people are a little bit biased on where they want the lego store, they just want it closer to them , good thing sherway is close to me!

Lobot and the executor have nothing to do with one another besides the fact that they are both in Star Wars, and ESB, I don't think UCS lobot was meant to be a hint, but rather just a joke.
-
wow, when it is all put together, it looks really good! I'm so glad that Lego decided to make the castle modular!
-
how?
-
probably definitely. I think what you see minifig wise on that poster, is all were getting for this year. And the Executor kinda diminishes the idea of an UCS ship, (not executor, but you know what I mean)
-
Theres no point disputing this, we will all find out soon enough
-
The newer version looks much better! Really reminiscent of the Lovegood home. Can't wait to see the finished product.
-
yes that is correct. Different figs warrant two places on the poster, so why wouldn't two different Mando's?
-
But the Anakins are different! One has his pod-racing helmet as well as a double sided face, whereas the other is regular with no added details. I personally think there may be more to this. But, I guess theres no sense arguing, we'll find out sooner or later.
-
But the minifigure looks different from anything we've seen before, no? and the box doesn't define a "mando assasin" there just listed as Mandalorians
-
I don't know, theres no duplicate of any other figure, and it looks different, different enough to ward some speculation.
-
I think there might be another new set this year, look at the far right corner on the villains side, does that mando warrior have, leg printing ? and his whole body is Dk blue! And his belt is more "brown" then the others, I can't see the top of his helmet, but if I was a betting man, I'd say thats Pre Visela!

Avengers Earths mightiest heros, really nice song and as a young kid I remember dancing to "I Ran" cover by bowling for soup as the intro to the western version of Knights of the Zodiac.
-
yes it has, several times in fact. I just don't get what the big appeal is about that show, it's targeted at like 7-8 year old kids and yet I know a lot of people who "dig" it. I watched it once or twice, and it was just kinda stupid. But, I think an avengers line would be really cool. Quinjet's and different bases, as well as different buildings to fight on, lots of potential.

way to abuse your power as a MOD. And do you think the achievement will still be worth it if you acquire it by cheating ? You sir, need a lesson in morales. I simply cannot have a part in this injustice! Good day to you sir! okay, I'll watch the damn video.
-
Don't tell the others, but... I agree
-
I don't get your point, the playability box removed easily without hindering the integrity or the design of the model. It was also integrated well into the model, overall making a nice set which appeals to the two sides of the spectrum of lego buyers.
