Agreed, I thought I could get the figs separately then I could purchase the actual set itself, but each of the stormies were $7 each! It's a good idea to consider getting the 2001 version because it's pretty much the same as the one from 2005, but as you mentioned, a lot cheaper. I think what makes the 2005 one so expensive is of course the ten amazing minifigures, I also heard it was a Wal-Mart exclusive and that a lot of people didn't buy it when it came out (Why wouldn't they want to get the set!?) Well the chances of lego making an imperial shuttle in 2014 aren't that bad. But you'll have no luck in 2015 due to the fact of the new movie and "rebel" sets. But good luck finding one, I have the imperial dropship back from 2007, and although it's a low-class version of the imperial shuttle, it's still pretty awesome.

Good choice of a battle pack, the rebel trooper one is a great addition to your rebel army. Now for the Imperial Shuttle if you have the money maybe you could get the UCS one. However I myself think the one from 2005 great (UCS sets don't really interest me that much), although the cheapest I can find it on ebay is $150

That's true, I bought the Duel on Geonosis set and I saw the homing spider droid and the gunship. All the kids there gathered around the gunship and were amazed at it, but who can blame them? Anyways I don't really care much for the HH-87 Starhopper, but does anyone know if it's a target or walmart exclusive in the USA? I know for a fact that it's not Toys R US because, like always, they have the bigger store exclusive (Jedi class defender cruiser)

Even though it would make sense for lego to include a Dodonna figure, I don't think they will. He probably won't be very appealing to kids, and let's not forget lego is focusing a lot on ROTS. We're probably getting an exclusive clone trooper, maybe an exclusive phase 2 commander cody.

No the doors on the side are there so that when you open them so the clone on the inside can look out. They added the same feature to the 2008 version too.

Oh that's interesting, when I started to collect lego again it was 2011, so I was probably unaware of that. Thanks for letting me know.

Jesus these are worse than before, back then it was three magnets for $15, and now it's one for $7. A little less than half the price, yet only one figure. And I don't think the background makes up for it.

Tion Meddon is a good choice for the set too, I forgot about him. You do have a point about the Separatist leaders, I bought the duel on geonosis set with Poggle and the entire set was really cool. I wouldn't mind a mustafar set with Anakin killing the Separatist leaders including Wat Tambor, we haven't had him in any sets.

Yeah and the Boga would be all new and detailed. But I would pay up to $40 for a motorized wheel bike and a detailed Boga, even if it has less than 300 pieces! But do you think lego could include one of the separatist leaders who were on Utapau as a fourth figure, or would be a little "out of scene" due to the fact that the fight took about five minutes after Grievous talked to the leaders?

Agreed, 2005 was amazing. You could get ten minifigures in just a $50 set, including Darth Vader and the Emperor (Imperial Inspection) Nearly all the sets were amazing, the only poor one I can think of was the droid tri-fighter. Too bad I started collecting lego star wars sets in 2008, after all the 2005 sets were gone. Now of course there are A LOT of star wars sets to choose from, and I never really thought of one being the "best" star wars set ever, but if I were to choose one, especially one that came out in recent years, it would have to be the ewok village. The figures are great, the entire set looks magnificent on display, and contains a lot of fun playability features. However the worse set won't be too difficult to choose, and I've seen other people on here say it: The Twilight. The set is a giant box with drab pieces costing you $100. The features are ok, but the figures are available in smaller and better quality sets. Overall a horrible set. I would have chose the starhopper instead, but at the very least it includes decent parts and figures that are exclusive, like a special edition set should have,

I see, well I never thought the clone wars phase 2 design was bad, I just figured they would change it for episode 3. But to me the figure looks amazing.

It's pretty obvious this is a set based off of ROTS, but why does Gree appear to have a clone wars phase 2 clone helmet? Are they using it for all phase 2 clones now?

I don't think the new Azog looks that bad, but I do agree with other people saying it needs bigger and more muscular arms. The set they revealed looks cool, the price is about $10 to high but it's still a nice and detailed set. But is there any interesting action features included in the set? Because all I see is those little catapults that have been included in a lot of other LOTR and hobbit sets.

Sorry, I tried to get rid of that part of my post, but for some reason it wouldn't let me. But now back to the topic. Does the technic pin on the back of the walker do anything, or is it just part of the build? EDIT: I believe it is there to make it easier to raise the roof of the walker, well that makes it more convenient.

Is anyone else hoping for a new General Grievous vs. Obi Wan set? I missed out on the 2005 version and I'm glad I did because it didn't really look that great. Hopefully it will also include a new Commander Cody in Phase 2 armor as well. Nice picture, but does the little technic pin on the back of the walker do anything?

I agree with you, the clone battle pack had some amazing phase 2 clones. It's a shame how it goes on bricklink for around $20 though, that is a little too much for a set with 58 pieces. And even though the other battle pack was with battle droids, it came with 7 of them, which was really awesome. After that, the rest of the battle packs for the separatist weren't very good, they were just their because they somewhat had to. I own the original '08 AT-AP, and this one is only a little taller with some nice detail. Sounds great, just not worth $70. I also think that if they were going to make a $70 walker, they should have at least included more than two minifigures on the side of the republic.

That would be great, I'm really hoping for them to make a lot more episode III sets like the wookiee catamaran. I'm glad the battlepacks are going back to normal, I prefer building an army of one side when I want rather than only receiving half of the side.
