  1. no offence, but in comparison to lego, this makes me wanna puke
  2. for a good collection of scanned instruction you should go here: http://www.hccamsterdam.nl/brickfactory/
  3. if they had come up with an emperial ship for the 2009 line (maybe something smaller than the pirate ship) i think they would be equal, but redcoats without a ship to contend with just suck a lot
  4. Unlike most others, I'd prefer a small imperial ship, so people can actually afford buying a ship. As a kid I could never afford a ship them always being too darn expensive. So that woiuld have to be something like the renegade runner, only this time on the other side. And then, i think it would be really cool to get native americans in there too, thus merging two themes. and the last one, spaniards raiding tenochtitlan, the most amazing city that has ever been

    CYCLIC

constantly procrastinating while supposed to be writing a paper, i really had to lough about the guy playing solitair at his computer, someone should shoot the guy who invented the card games for windows ...
  6. it must be that in country where there hasn't been any war since 1865, folks are all excited about the military and think its all just a big adventure ... well, i guess that's exactly the kind of thinking that got us germans starting two world wars having grown up in a super millitaristic country (gdr) i couldn't think of anything worse than a complete military lego theme and i furthermore think that building military mocs is just absolutely tasteless, but hey, if your all up for rotc and such disgusting things you gotta have military lego as well if you really want to find out about the horrors of war, you should consider reading remarque's "all quite on the western front"
  7. i guess using duplo bricks could do the job, always wondered myself whether this was possible, but never came up with a good idea of how to do the roofing
  8. oh yeah, my favourite topic is town/city and i guess castle too, since i really dig constructing half-timbered houses (wich i guess most german afols do), pirates are hot too, and i could really hit myself that i felt too ashemed to buy them, when they sold the last of the good old pirate sets for really cheap late in the 90s ...
  9. I wonder why they didn't put in 7686, because the only way to fit the minifig into the truck is by turning the cap sidewards
  10. Hi there, as i was born on the other side of the iron fence that went through germany, i grew up as kid building with PeBe bricks, which was an east german system compatible to lego. i had tons of it and there wasn't anything else i needed as a kid. one thing really bugged me though, PeBe didn't have any mini figs, as my neighbor's lego sets hat. so i desperately harassed my west german relatives to send me lego instead of match box cars. after years of begging i finally recieved two sets very late in the 80s shortly before the wall came down. after that i was able to buy lego myself and got really hooked. unfortunately, at 15/16 playing in a punk rock band was more exciting and my bricks became dusty, until my brother stole them from me for his own son to play with - then i didn't care however, now being a father myself, i finally had a really good excuse to start buying lego sets again, and so i spent some 200 euros or so since last september and i can't stop it again ... (i just hope my wife doesn't find out how much i spent) ...
  11. hi there, i just bought a few old set at a flea market because as a kid i always wanted them, but never had a chance to get them, anyway, after taking these sets apart and including the parts in builts i noticed how awfully ugly the old parts look, especially white ones sometimes turned into a brownish color which annoys me a great deal so i was wandering, is there any way i can clean these pieces or are they spoiled for ever?
