  1. To be honest, its not the best camera angle to show it off, but I took it from where I was told. So next time maybe I'll take sevaral pictures & get her to pick the best. If she decides that this is the thing for her, then she'll have to get her own signin.
  2. B-V-18E Hospital Rescue By Quanta :-X After seeing my post on the space forum, my daughter has decided she needs her creations online, so here it is. *wacko* :-X

    Assault Frigate

I use what components I have available to me. I am already at the limit of my white bricks & I get the kids complaining that I am using all the Lego & they can't build what they want.

    Assault Frigate

Ship at the back is this Heavy fighter Its made using bits from mini arc170 set. I wasn't sure what class of ship it was and was sort of basing it on size. I don't think its big enough to be called carrier class

    Assault Frigate

OK, I'm slowly getting the hang of this Assult Frigate (2nd attempt) I'm not the first to get that wrong & I'm sure I won't be the last Jof
  6. OK, so I'm not a SNOT expert, but here is my first attempt at an assult frigate in microscale. (I have put in a millenium falcon for scale.) Assult Frigate (Brickshelf) Notice that the stike craft are carried externally, and it sports a large hangar bay to facilitate repairs that is big enough to admit smaller corvette class vessels. Current strike craft complement: 4* Interceptors 2* gunboats 2* bombers 2* repair pods (small craft beneath bridge) & whateve else I can think of to put in the hangar bay I hope the links come out OK as this is first big image I have tried to post. Jof
  7. Very expensive if you go wrong though, with 9V powerd track prices. Jof
  8. You know that if you team up with an anual season ticket holder you get 10% off purchases don't you? Given that a restricted anual pass seems to be
  9. I have aquired a number of these, but what to do with them. Well, the arc170's are far too large, so what I need is something more compact. I can get either 1 heavy fighter or 2 smaller ones from one kit (see attachments) Now I'm off to build a carrier / assult frigate for them. JofC
  10. That fine, except Jofsson is only 3.5, so they will sit & wait quietly in a draw for 2.5 years before his friends would be old enough to appreciate them. I am not sure I can store them for that long without loosing will power & adding to 'our' mini space fleet! Jof
  11. I think the problem is that the trains are a bit big to do different ones for each country, and even if you did, you would only buy the train without motor/track etc. It would be nice if they could be issued as promotional items by the national railways (Like you see with some of the ferries & aircraft), maybe if you did more than x train journeys, or bought an yearly season ticket. Obviously they would need a simple design, to keep the price down though. Jof
  12. I have purchased 9 of these from our local toy shop. Obviously selling off surplus freebies after christmas. Now, what should I do with them? 1) Offer them here. 2) Shove them on eBay. 3) Keep them for party bags for Jofsson's birthday. Jof
  13. I will be one of those who meets you there. Will there be some sort of coded identification, like we all have to make ourselves a badge with a minifig on it? Jof (You do know that mrs jof calls us lego anoraks don't you. I'm tempted to make her come too)
  14. Is it me or does Lego seem to be emulating playmobile? Planes - have you seen how close the designs are (particularly last years big duplo plane) and now RC Trains
  15. Yep, I can make it (with family in tow). You can usually find me there on Mondays during school time (when its open) with my sprogs that are too young for school. Should have renewed season tickets by then. Just have to keep remembering to check this site. Jof
  16. But you can power the standard 9V train engine using the 'lighting brick' connector on the top of it. Is this how the new ones work? You can use this to make your mindstorms run your train. Jof
  17. Definitly more city houses & buildings. We havn't had many for a while. Remember, they don't need to be enormous. I want things of a reasonable cost that my kids can save up & buy. Saying that though the new designer house is v good value at
  18. What they could have done with is some drivers doors on the front. Easy job, just done it with the police van. Insert a row of thin flat pieces under the 'red' level & then use standard 1*3 doors & some 1*n bricks instead of the 1*12 bricks. Jof
  19. Yes, But my daughter will play with it as she can build big things quickly. We should all know that in general boys want to build & bash, girls like to play with the people Jof
