  1. Throlar slaps Eric to help him wake up. "This is quite obviously unnatural, and in my opinion the best thing to do is run like hell, do you want me to use my smoke bomb? And can anyone lend me four gold?"
  2. "No he does not, now go to sleep and rest your soft brain."
  3. "Run away from what might be a bunch of squirrels? Are you out of your empty mind? Most of the things out here are perfectly harmless. If you're scared we can stay up all night with drawn swords. Squirrels, bah!"
  4. "I say that Eric takes first watch, he needs it more than the rest of us do."
  5. "No, not a bit." (OOC; I'll probably be away for a few days, don't worry.)
  6. "Ach, let's just keep going, I don't care what the hell is after us, or even if it is after us or not, come on."
  7. "First you said you we're in a theater, now it's an inn, but at least now we know enough to guess, and the message is clear for those who wish to see it, what did you see Rollinger?"
  8. I have no plans for Throlar aside from his eventual insanity, and even that is a little unlikely.
  9. "Bold words for a man that has never had any sort of formal education." "Nobody is questioning your courage Eric, just your intelligence."sigh. "Look, no matter what any of us tries there is certainly going to be a repeat performance of last night in the next place we stop, so it doesn't matter who the hell has them, okay? Just give him the damn cup and stop arguing, I'm tired enough as it is already." "The truth. Tell the truth."
  10. "No Eric, that's not how it works, I believe that these dreams are not simply prophecies, mine was not prophetic at all, they are revelations. Revelations and, in Eric's case at least, a warning. The artifacts are only the engines of the visions, they are not part of them, they cannot affect our futures, but they can show us glimpses, hidden in riddles and enigmas. The cup was there the entire time you where dreaming Eric, it did not arrive and spoil the dream, that dream was spoiled from the moment you chose to... never mind." "Rollinger got two, why, I don't know, but what you dream Heckz? Tell us."
  11. "Right then, oh, by the way, if you see the naga again tell him that the village of R'kilf is in need of a good healer will you? Many thanks."Having said this Throlar retired to his room.
  12. "The latter, I hope you'll be kind enough to oblige me."He seemed a little distant, apparently Tamaki's words had had some affect on him.
  13. "No, not at all, I just happen to be a very bitter and sarcastic person, not that I have any reason to be, after all, I'm only the single biggest failure in the entire universe."
  14. Oh goodie, this moron has already forgotten what we're carrying, despite the fact that our employer did, in fact, tell us exactly what we're carrying, and he wonders about my legitimate doubts as to who is in charge here. Well, he might still remember and be lying about it, but I doubt that, he looks too much of an empty-headed vainglorious fool to think of something even that obvious.Ending his internal soliloquy Throlar resumed waiting for the unresponsive Tamaki to, well, respond.
  15. "Well, I'm sorry, but I actually have no money on me at the moment, though I'd help if I could.""The Norse? Maybe they aren't, but it certainly feels like it, to me at least."
  16. "No, none at all, I really know nothing about medicine, or common politeness, as you may have gathered. But anyway, you have made it somewhat obvious that you do have experience in the art, and will probably discourse on it at length given half a chance, so feel free, I'm all ears." "Excuse me a moment sir, I have to berate my comrade."He then leaned out of his chair and said; "Eric, please, keep your bloody mind on the blasted bushiness at hand, and try to use lines that are at least passable, have you no grasp of subtlety?" He then returned to his seat and his conversation with the Naga; "Really, these Norse, no sense of decency at all. I'd lay you ten to one he already has two women waiting for him back in Eubric Mr. ... I'm sorry, I'm afraid I forgot to exchange names, Mine is Throlar Wineghilm, and I'm pleased to meet you Mr. ?"
  17. "Yes, and we happen to enjoy it very much. Sorry for the sarcasm inherent in that sentence, it was kind of unavoidable."<Awkward pause> "So, what would you like to talk about?"
  18. "Well it wasn't, at all, but anyway whatever and however your feelings affect me and my situation is negligible for the moment, personally however I feel very sorry for you. Now are you going to take that as in insult as well?"
  19. "That is not what I meant, at all."Throlar, decidedly bored with the entire situation, wondered up to the Naga's table. "Hello sir, how are you this evening? Well? Ill? Zoned out?"
  20. On a somewhat unrelated note, I've always wondered what would happen if aliens tried to invade Olegaia, not that I consider a quest dealing with such an invasion likely, but it would be interesting. You do realize that the only ones of these planes that we've actually seen is one that's basically the cosmic equivalent of a rental storage warehouse, and the other one, well... we really didn't see much of it. And the only other two we've heard of are a reference to the Nether and an infinite sheet of paper. I think it's pretty obvious that we really need to get our cosmology straight before we start galavanting all over the solar system.
  21. "No more than you are, Sarcasm may be the lowest form of wit but it still exercises my brain well, and maybe your's too." "Eric, will you please stop acting like a childish fool? It's annoying, and far too remenicient of me." "Since when did crones go on "important" adventures upon which rested the fate of the world? I admit we don't do it very often ourselves but still..." "Thank you, sir, for such a charming welcome."Throlar bowed low. "Well lads," he said, speaking to the party, "shall we take our seats?"
  22. "Ah! Bric'lin, I wonder if the inn has any decent food." "On another note, are we quite certain that Eric isn't in charge? Because it seems that way to me at the moment."
  23. "Oh shut up you, in case you haven't noticed we're fighting for our lives here."(OOC;I have no preference for running away or staying here, but I'll do whatever I'm told to do.)
