  1. Ummm... wait, you're saying all this as if this is a game... is this some fourth wall thing or something? As for the theory... that's pretty good actually... though killing off someone this early, even based on really good logic, is still most likely going to result in a town death because it's so early that we can't really judge anyone well... after all, it's the first day that will form the basis for deductions, but during the first day we don't really have any basis for... stuff like that.
  2. Ummm... I don't know... my friends asked me to come and gave me this costume... I don't really know what this is.
  3. Throlar did not respond to this because he had already left, but it would be easy to guess what he would have said had he been there.
  4. Ummm... nothing for me... thanks.
  5. "Yes, I lost, and you... gave up.""Gentlemen, I'm sorry to leave you like this but I really must go see a friend of mine, and remember, I have nothing against the Wolfgang's ideas, just their methods." With that he left for distant quarters.
  6. "What you saw is immaterial, I'm calling you out on what you did, and you proved something."
  7. "You helped a evil which who unleashed a plague of demons on a city that stood on this very spot and caused an empire to be buried under sea and stone continue to weasel her way into a position where she can do the same thing all over again. Not help a valiant group of rebels rise to a position where they can free the city from it's tyrannical dictators in a bloody revolution in which hundreds of people will die. Not that the latter is really much better." "But look, even if everything goes according to plan and Ulric becomes king and doesn't end up playing the part of Mad King Haeresias in a showing of The Downfall of Mercuton in the grand theater of Olegaia the city is still going to hell." "You see, if our hero becomes king then several thing will happen. Firstly, the Bonapartes will be gone, and most of their fleet with them. They are the most powerful naval presence in the Crystalline Sea and have kept pirates, raiders, corsairs, vikings, all that kind of riffraff, at bay for centuries, without them Eubric becomes vulnerable to any attacks from the sea, and not just Eubric, the entirety of the Free Islands, and the part of the ocean they reside in, which is the most trafficked part of the entire Crystalline Sea, becomes vulnerable." "Second, The Empire of Xu is going to be at least annoyed by having their ambassadors, the Ji Pei, just up and kicked out of the city, and that's if they aren't all killed instead, in any case a massive empire with access to some of the most powerful war machines in the world and some pretty rare resources, jade, silk, rare spices, technological marvels that no one else can make, is not going to be happy, in case you haven't noticed, Eubric is the only city that they are engaged with diplomatically, if any kind of revolt with anti-Ji Pei sentiments goes down here then it's back to good old isolationism again, and trade and anybody involved in it goes down. Or they declare war on Eubric." "Third, the two largest economical powerhouses in this part of the world are either destroyed or gone off somewhere else. The Hinkwells will probably shift their central location from Eubric to the city of Brendenton, a cadet branch of the family there that is heavily involved in the cloth trade of the city, Brendenton cloth is a highly valued commodity. They could also seek refuge with the Lion Knights, who are very good friends of theirs, and they in turn are allies of the Dastan Empire. The Shadeux, well, there is R'kilf, but that isn't really much they can do there, so they're finished no matter what happens. And every trading alliance they've built up will collapse, so thats a bonus." "Fourth, Trade is simply... well, revolutions in cities that happen to be hubs of international commerce tend to be bad for business." "Fifth, Heroica will cease to exist, every single member that stands against him will have to go, and so will most of the ones that stand with him, people who sell out comrades for money and don't care about his ideology will probably be treated the same way as his lieutenants, and they did care. The Veterans will be gone, the hall will probably be razed to the ground, and the remaining members will either end up working as Ulric's elites or surviving members of the opposite camp who will dedicate their lives to destroying Ulric." "This is assuming that Baba doesn't manage to summon a horde of demons that destroy everything and eat us all."
  8. "Excuse me, but the quest was,if you remember, for the purpose of finding a way to kill said which, what you did was side with her. Don't try to rationalize it by lying to yourself. If you didn't want to do it and did it anyway then you were being weak. You were chosen to lead the party and they ended up leading you, you're just looking for excuses for your own inability. Had you done it from conviction, from ideology, I would understand, but you betrayed the Veterans who entrusted us with this task because you were unable to prevent the rest of the party from doing so. It makes me ill."
  9. "I am suddenly... very glad that this... costume comes with a bo staff... even if it is... plastic."
  10. Throlar signs up for Quest 116. "Sorry Mr. Germ, but I'm afraid I may have to disappoint you."
  11. "Awww c'mon, he's not as bad as you think, he does seem to actually believe his ideology you know, but he is a moron for thinking that anything good'll come of allying with That sorceress, and he doesn't understand the maxim 'two wrongs don't make a right'. As far as I can tell he wants the city to be a better place, but the way he's going about it will just leave everything worse than it was before. Somebody ought to teach him the value of peaceful persuasion, but it's too late I suppose."
  12. "Uhhh... I don't think that we should talk about that, racisim... is not nice."
  13. "Oh for heavens sake, what did I do this time, we parted amicably enough, didn't we? I haven't tried to kill you or anything."
  14. "You look exactly... like someone I knew." "Shut. Up. You. Freak. I have had just about enough of you and if you don't stop... gah, dammit. Just go to hell and have fun like a good little boy would you?"
  15. "One thousand... not five... Wolfgang." Throlar had, despite being distracted by utter terror, been able to hear that much.
  16. "Ummm... okayyyy... I'll just go... stand in the corner, over there... on the other side of the room."
  17. "Benji! Nice to see you mate, how are you doing? I'm sorry, I don't have any mythril, wish I did!" Throlar looked up in the direction of the voice to see who was speaking, and instantly forgot everything else."How... no... Who are... help... what, are you?"
  18. "Hi, I'm new here, I came because my friends asked me but they haven't shown up for some reason... I hope this isn't some kind of joke, they like that kind of joke... I'm not even certain what this costume is supposed to be... hello?"
  19. "I... have... never heard that in my life, nor did I ever expect to." "Sorry, Althor, what... were we talking about? Money?"
  20. "Really? Well I've never thought that money was really that important, I admit that it is the basis of the system of exchange upon which civilization is founded, but I don't see anything in then other than that. The value in it is in spending it, if you just have it it's worthless. But it's rather obvious that you see some importance in useless, supposedly, hoarding of large amounts, otherwise you wouldn't react quite so vehemently to my words, d'you mind telling me what it is?"
  21. Yeah right, your heart. Throlar didn't actually say that out loud but it was rather obvious what he was thinking. "A thousand? Ha! Sorry to tell you mate but you've been ripped off! A thousand gold is approximately the amount you'd get out of what, five quests? That may make you rich compared to your average inhabitant of the hovels but it won't carry much weight anywhere else, you ought to have upped the price for your treachery, five thousand, ten thousand, a hundred thousand, a million! One measly little thousand! you have that spent in a week and then where are you, hmm?"
  22. "Anger and pride, for me anyway." "If it is who I think it is then she's no damn diamond, more like a peridot, pff."
  23. "Ah yissss, mister... Sorrow? How do you do? My name is Throlar, and I expect you to elicit no joy from meeting me. And yissss... that quest was indeed an ordeal, a penance."
