  1. As Jonk continued searching for their charge, ensign motioned to Aysu. "There's nothing we can do to help Jonk right now," he said "how about you and I make an attempt at opening the other vault? Rix and mister Wollipog should be enough protection for our companion."
  2. That's because there is no right answer Lieutenant. We have to act now based on no evidence whatsoever, and statistically we'd be more likely to vote for a loyal crewmember than an infected.
  3. Enson leaned over Jonk's shoulder. "When you're done with that, do you think you could examine the meta-physical section? I would like to see what they could possibly have there."
  4. If previous simulations hold true, two out of eight is a reasonable proportion. I wish I'd taken that traitor alive though, we could've interrogated him to find out who his buddies were!
  5. "I'd rather not be reckless about this. There are a lot of innocent people in here, and that Quarm will die if they are released into this atmosphere." Enson turned to point out the door. "I would like to go back and try to force the eastern vault door. There may be some alarms however, and I don't want to be out there alone if they are set off."
  6. Lieutenant Commander Pherson reporting! Ready to die horribly in the line of duty!
  7. "I doubt he can regrow a missing tongue. I don't think this person has any useful information anyway. I am more interested in getting the defenseless civilian to safety."
  8. Enson's face had set hard, his mouth a line set in a wall of stone. Turning to Bertram he said "Listen, I'm sorry to ask you this, but I need you to escort this person to safety. I'll also need you to contact Tokiel Memorial, tell them we need immediate emergency assistance - at least one pressure suit for a Quarm, and likely more. Can you do that?" Enson will attempt a persuasion check if necessary.
  9. As the Ornithun stumbled out of the pod, Enson reached out to steady them. "Easy now," he said, "I doubt you've walked in a while. Let me have a look at you." Enson will examine the Ornithun and assess their health. He will also look over the gaseous being in the adjacent pod.
  10. Nodding to himself, Enson ignited his plasma falchion and began to carefully cut open the Ornithun's container.
  11. Enson glanced in the direction of the distant conversation, trying to see if its participants were visible.
  12. Is there space out in... space?
  13. "There should be an index somewhere. Collectors like their things neatly organized so they can show them off at a moment's notice." Enson will attempt to open the container across from the door without alerting anyone.
  14. "I have no power to judge, only to kill. If the authorities forfeit their power by abusing it, then we may return to the discussion. But, in all honesty, waxing faux-philosophic because we won't let you kill someone you don't like is rather petulant." Sidling over to the western door, Enson concealed himself to one side, motioning his companions to do the same. "Be careful," he muttered, "I do not believe the doctor was telling the truth when he said he was alone. We may be expected."
  15. "I am a Qoun'ahn. I fear nothing. I do what I must, because it must be done. If I strike down someone who is actively attempting to do harm, who presents a threat to the innocent, this is necessary. Not desirable, and perhaps not justified. But I will not strike down someone who cannot defend themselves, no matter how evil they may be. It is not necessary, and I do not indulge in wrath." He looked straight into the camazon's eyes. "Believe me, I sympathize with you, and with everyone else who has suffered at this torturer's hands, but I intend to let those legally empowered to do so serve as his judges. If you think that is merciful, then you have a strange understanding of mercy."
  16. "Justice?" Enson said grimly, "Revenge is not justice, no matter how much you've suffered. The authorities will deal with him when we have done here, you can have your justice then." As he spoke, Enson seemed to be gazing past his surroundings, into a place only he could see.
  17. "Yes, good work Jonk." Enson said, taking the two pieces of paper. "Western Vault access code: 5709372984." Enson lowered the scraps of paper. "Well, it seems our next destination is obvious. Shall we?" Enson will return to the main gallery.
  18. "I was hoping you'd explain where the keys were. Oh well." Without a further word, Enson grabbed the doctor by the shoulder and thrust him into the containment chamber, sealing it after him. "Perhaps you could be less snide in future." he turned to his companions, "Shall we go?"
  19. Enson looked at the trident for a moment, shook his head, and reproached the doctor. He perused the map for a moment. "I see," he said, "Thank you. Tell me, are there any special dangers we should be aware of? traps and suchlike. And how does one open the locked doors?" He looked at the doctor. "I'd advise you to answer truthfully, you'll have a better chance of receiving merciful treatment." Enson will attempt to persuade the doctor.
  20. My personal view is that if you have enough energy to write the above, you have enough to respond in mission. You seem to have this belief that you have to respond directly to everything that's been written since the last time you posted. Believe me, you don't. You can do just fine with a single sentence reply to the most recent events. It doesn't even have to involve dialogue, you can just say what action you're taking. This is actually less disruptive than replying to things that the rest of the group has already moved on from.
  21. "I don't, but he might not be. There's no need for assumptions." "And the rest of the facility?" Enson said, "What further rooms are there? what is the layout? how many guards would you estimate there are?" Enson will give Felthorn to Rix and take the trident against the far wall.
  22. Turning back into the room, Enson grabbed Rix by the shoulder and pulled him back from the doctor. "Idiot," he said, "we need information, not a mutilated corpse." He faced the doctor. "Who were you talking to? Where do these passages lead? Answer or I'll let this fellow do as he pleases." Enson is attempting an intimidation check. He is also hoping for Rix to assist if possible.
  23. Enson glowered at the doctor a moment, before pushing past him and looking through the door to see who he'd been talking to.
  24. "Thank you." Enson nodded at the dwarf. Turing his attention to the secret door, he shrugged his shoulders and said "Well, no-one has said not to..." And with that he swiftly opened the door and tossed the Spider Bomb in.
  25. Thank you. Ironically enough those images are from locations that weren't visited in the mission they were built for. I'll have to find some use for them.
