  1. today i was quite in a flow... (and i want a white boba too....) Vulgar display of power Trooping the colours Sick of it all
  2. Thanks a lot guys... there's not really a trick with vader and his arms. I took them out (it hurt - even me, not only vader) and used "plasticine" to get them into position... ..a use- and powerfull tool for lego-photography :-)
  3. haha, nice idea 501st! hope it was not to hard to put everything together again... 'Shock and awe to the Universe..!' .. Lord Vader motivating his troops...
  4. Thanks a lot commanderFox and smokebelch You can run but you can't hide... It's cool to be a nasty, tall badass and not a little, old green man!
  5. haha, i'm sure if i'd uploaded a high ress version you would have spottet it and YES: take a shot of your army!!!
  6. Excellent job on this one... just like all the others already mentioned: great nature, cool idea, amazing details... winner!
  7. no, it's perfectly ok with smoky having a unique tag!!! he#s the master and i'm the apprentice!
  8. congrats! if there would not have been smokebelch i wouldn't have my new favourite hobby - LSW-photography! Thanks again! @comdr rob: lighting is the hardes part in lego-photography... do you have a dslr or a compact cam? there should be some switch (in both cases) to change the focus in macro mode.. centered / more obejcts / etc... but i really like your shot! edith: 30 shots is standard sometimes the ratio is even worse to get a decent one...
  9. JCC1004: you are really a funny guy! made laugh out loud reading your comments (specially the one on yoda and the princess - wasn't sure anybody would notice) You even noticed the switched legs from the new hoth-rebels... incredible... I know that some of my figs are not 100% - got them from bigger trades. but i don't mind, they are cool too... just made a trade that should get me close to having nearly all ot figs (which is sad at one hand cause than it's over... on the other hand one can never have enough stormtrooper ) And you missed one: the old luke skywalker (endor) doesn't ahve the right head The wrong legs of greedo are special: i got this fig from tlc as a gift so i won't change it - makes it special and does fit not too bad
  10. haha, don't tell george ..and here's one of the most famous frame of boba... so baboalicious!!!
  11. Thanks a lot smokebelch... actually it's not quite 1:1 but it's still kind of art ..and as usual i was not patient enough...
  12. I've tried to recreate a scene from the battle of Hoth. General Veers, at the cockpit of his command-AT-AT orders his Snowtroopers to attack. One of the rare wins of the imperial troops. Note for all the geeks: I know general Veers has the rank insignia of a Grand Moff but it fits better than the Lieutenant (original Lego) :-) Inspired by smoky - as so often...
  13. sick, this is sick. a fine gift from lego - and meant as a gift and not a "ebay-highflyer-resell-opportunity"...
  14. :classic: yes, the PT is not really my favourite actually i didn't buy a lot of sets and i don't collect any ships. i had quite a large amount of pirates and knights from my childhood and traded them against sw/ot figs or just bought a couple of figs.. getting those figs from sets would have cost a fortune...
  15. one year of collecting... soory for the bad picture but after one try my cat jumped on the table and it was domino day... and i was not in the mood for a second try..
  16. cool scene rob! i really like the pov!
  17. scenery is epic, smokebelch! great shots!
  18. @alldarker: chrome vader was only an example to make my point clear. i know that they have been produced in quite large numbers. i'm just not happy with the way lego is "feeding" a "black market" with way-overpriced collectors items and i don't think it's their intention. they want some goodies for people on conventions or a bonus for people buying lego. i can live with it. i'm not that "harcore" in collecting. it's just an interesting phenomenom..
  19. Thanks a lot for taking the effort and making such a detailed review! No questions on that set open..
  20. anyway it's a very good start as it's your first dio .you can add some details and make it bigger and more detailed with time to come... the figs are well placed and you've got waht you need.
  21. very cool outdoor shots! i'm to lazy to freeze my a.. off :-)
  22. I can understand why lego makes things like that. It's a nice giveaway. BUT: I'm kind of a little frustated. It's not because i don't have this fig, it's because (like chrome vader) not even 0,1% of lego collectors have even achance to get those. Chrome Vader was e.g. sold by some dealers in germany for about €3 in unlimited numbers (or close to that). and some people (i'd would have done the same) bought tons of them making some 1000% profit on reselling them. That's kind of unfair and i don't think this is the intention of lego... otherwise they would sell a 1000 limited whatever on shop@home for 300€...
  23. 1. Boba 2. Bossk 3. Tie Defender Pilot Rebel pilot and hot rebels are cool, but certainly not in top 3. Wampa - pfff - have to see him in real..
  24. Thx a lot for the pics of Bobalicious Fett and his Slave I. I have to get this set. The ship is cool, but Bossk and Boba rock. I agree with some people saying that the jetpack is not the best part of this fig but in general it's pure awesomeness with great details added... a must buy for a boba-fanboy :-)
  25. Thanks a lot everybody! :classic: Actually I'm kind of in a flow at the moment (after having some seriously uninspired times...) And a new one: Spearhead
