to sum up (at least imho): produce a photo with x-mas and sw relation with whatever it takes that has some or all of the following - artistic/photographic value (angle, lighting, framing, setup,...) - humor - wow effect - action - thrill - altered scene from the movies/comics - ...

Quite simple, it's called "sliding floor"-technique. The wall in the backgroud stays where it is. The floor with the stormies on it isn't attached to the wall. You choose a longer exposure on your cam (mine is a Canon 1000D - the cheapest of the DSLR series but more than enough powerfull i'd say - and move the floor with the figs on it swiftly to the left. Sorry guys for not being around lately, but just found the time to shoot 2 new ones and upload them on flickr. Rushed through the thread now and I have to say: some great new shots! Love the loads of "snow" action! Hard job to take shots with real snow. It's cold and tricky. Here my newest 2 shots (which are some days old): Canteen-Rush 12:00... on a Death-Star with thousands of troopers one minute late can be an extra hour in the queue... Just some long-exposure experiment... getting to know my new cam... Some very cool new shots! The Death Star setups are just amzing! And yes: blue tones work! Kind of missed to post my Halloween shot... so here we go: "Great idea, Vader... Zombies! You know, I always hated make-up...! Trick or treat, let's blow up some planets if we don't get anything!" already commented on flickr: this is awesome... i'd give it 100 out of 100! if you'd used some light blue background when taking the photos it would even be a great photo-job and would add to the presentation. still - this is so very great. looked at the pics for some 15 minutes and still discover some great details!

went to a concert of a band. looked at their "merchandising" stand. saw that they had arranged their CD's on a lego base-plate with figs around them. saw jago fett. asked the guy if he would sell me the fig for $10. he grinned (cause he thought i'm stupid) and gladly sold me the fig... i'm happy!

Hi everybody, I don't know if some of you are more into photography - like in the Star Wars Photography Thread - but as I happened to fall in love with the spartans from series 2 (like so many others) I added them to my hobby of LEGO photography. It's not about sharing MOCs, it's more about making quality pictures of LEGO-stuff (at least I try ) No idea if this thread is welcome here - mods feel free to delete or move it. Would be great if others would join in with their shots.
