  1. hi heliacon, I tried it myself a couple of times and it´s really much harder than I imagined... the results that you achieved are much better than I ever came close... waiting for phase II
  2. Thanks ratshot, big cam (funny: yesterday I realized for the first time: it
  3. Quite a nice and huge collection you have made! Great work, very detailed.
  4. Really well built tower... I love the realistic built of the tower... there is some kind of randomness, which makes it look more "natural" and not so lego-look. Great work!
  5. @smidy: the spiderman-imperial officer is great! didn't know that on actor didn't have enough time to change outfit
  6. Great work, not only the SUITE, but also the scenery around... The rocket that is just being fired is really cool!
  7. Thanks to all for the feedback... it was such a great automn-afternoon that I had to go and make some outdoor shots... Yesterday evening - i was looking through the parts of my new endor-set, I had a new idea... TIE at work... I know, some of you will say it's TOO DARK - but IT'S THE DARK SIDE Hunting down X-Wings...
  8. When I look at your minis my first impulse is: Wooooooow! I want them all and I want to build minis too. They are definately awesome! But unfortunately I´m not patient enough to build them... must take you quite a long time to figure out..,. great work... Have you ever thought of making dioramas with your minis? Must look great! I´d love to see some of them together... keep up the great work and don´t feel bad about posting "old creations"... GREAT!
  9. hi all, seems we started something new great gimp-pimping commander (as i started with editing just days ago i know how hard it is...) and really innovative concept from smokebelch... some secret material directly from lucas... you took my all-time favorite shots for that! the vehicles add a new discipline too... i think, there are many great shots waiting for us to shoot and to see here! keeping the thread alive today no gimp or photoshopping from my side, just took my new endor-minifigs out for a little endor-walk with some ideas how to own the imperials (i know there are too many pics but i tried to tell a mini-story) ...when hunters become the endangered species... ...be invisible... ...and always be on the watch... ...win their hearts and minds... ...let them take a break... ...or just let them hang around... ...one shot, one kill...
  10. Thanks for the criticism, Big Cam, you are right! Was not postworthy... I figured out some new tools in GIMP and tried to improve the pic: Thx CommadeFox, and thx CommanderRob (I hope it's ok for you that i'm playing around with your great pic - but it's perfect for this kind of maipulation..)
  11. this 100% percent fitting my kindd of humor! GREAT - and extremly funny!
  12. commander rob, i love those pics! vehicles are always great models for shootings, but sometimes really tricky. they look huge and the backround is beautiful (not only from a star wars point of view). i like the AT-AT pic the most - the grass at the front of the pic doesn't really give a way the size of the AT-AT... really well done! and the sky is.... today i spent some 10 minutes with gimp to pimp one of my shots. i know there are specialists around that are able to do a much better job, but for the first time i'm quite satisfied with the outcom... ...just to make it a little more realsitic... ... was a really fast edit...so pls don't be to harsh....
  13. updated new: imperial inspection and vaders tie without minifigs
  14. whats the red-white thing under the second abseiling snowtrooper? update well done, by the way!
  15. this is great! certainly not the most serious entry, but great!
  16. Thanks a lot for the positive feedback, smokebelch and bigcam! At least my addiction to collecting stormies payed of as I had about 100 for the shooting... actually it was only stormie-helmets put on the glass from a picture frame. i was to annoyed aligning 100 stormies without a baseplate and only the helmets are much easier to handle... @smokebelch: I´d love to see the IG88 shot from the master... as always I´m not patient enough to make a really high-quality shot. I get the idea, take a couple of shots and it´s over...should be more patient...
  17. Boba Fett - printed legs... As I happen to be a big fan of Boba this is my first and ultimate choice (but I don't have it - buhhhaaaaaa)
  18. Nice Moc with nice ideas (treaure room)... and I like the blood Only thing i´d improve is the surrundings or better the snow... if you would a some little details here and here it would look more like "nature" and a little less lego...
  19. This is GREAT - I instantly fell in love with your great army. Absolutely astonishing... and full of detaisl (e.g. the patch on one of the soldiers trousers....). Can't wait to see more or see them into action on a vignette!
  20. smokebelch: as usual... nice to see some action in the second pic! the fading to black in the background is perfect... never quite managed to do that. you are a light-specialist! i was always woindering why in god's name they can not produce light-sabre blades without bubbles... but maybe i'm too much into details... bigfish: nice pics too... specially love the "metal-scratched" underground you used and some minifigs we don't have in our "photo-collection"... and the first really good pic of the giveaway from the visual dictionary... what is the underground you used? As I´m in something like a non-creative-phase concerning what to shoot i experiemented a little more with light and even used my mobile phone as a window of a star-destroyer. Pleas excuse the fact that I´m posting 4 pics with the same stuff on it, but I took some 100 shots and really had a hard time deciding which are good and which are crap..maybe you could tell me...
  21. hi Martijn, 100% agreed, exactly my feelings about that... exactly the same story for me.... i even had the same castle and the same feelings about the wall parts
  22. Lately I was experimenting with fire for some Viking shots... but it's not so easy because of the flame size. It rarely looks like fire in minifig-scale (and it's hard to focus right)... I have one idea with reflections on water, but I don't really know how it would fit into the SW-theme... maybe I'll try to get some "funny-stuff" shots while having no idea what to do... A week ago I tried some shots with my At-St with smoke and a laserpointer aiming exactly at the canon to give the impression of firing, but there are to many things that are hard to control... (I nearly smoke a pack of cigarettes without inhaling and my knees hurt like hell after an hour of kneeling in my darkened bathtube....)
  23. Yesterday I really was up to taking new shots... and started wondering, what I could do... it's hard to find new ideas... there are already so many brilliant shots in this thread (mainly by master smokebelch - always an inspiration)... But the way you put colour in your photos via light is really new and brilliant! ...does Freud have anything to do with that??? Just realized that smoebelch took some Hoth pictures with sugar before... and again I copied (not on purpose... just saw them right now on your flickr...). As I said, hard to find new ideas - before smokebelch has them...
  24. signed.... they have been a part of my childhood.. spent hours, days, months, years playing with them...
