  1. It reminds me somehow on Citroen 2 CV FURGONETA. Nice design!
  2. Milan

    MOC City Bus

Nice. I would tile the roof and make section around the wheels with slopes, not with the regular bricks.
  3. You should post deeplinked images, this looks awesome! And provide some more info about it.
  4. I have '94 catalog...there are no scans available for other catalogs, right?
  5. Check out few pages back...mods specifically told not to post any more CONFIDENTIAL pictures. I want to see them as much as you do...I wrote that warning in a friendly manner to user icks.
  6. icks, It is mini LA, confirmed by a member here. You better remove this picture, mods will be angry...
  7. That solution worked on her crane, but is outdated now. She used it mainly to save space, so it is not the best example. Full roller bearings ring in still the best fix for taking the pressure off the turntable.
  8. It looks like NFS Underground has great impact here.
  9. I think no matter how big official LEGO turntable might be in the future, there would always be big friction when crane rotates under the load. Roller bearings ring around the turntable might be the key. I agree that we need 50% or 100% larger turntable.
  10. I was very happy to see that, too. His last creation and the one before has 1.5 year gap, sadly... But lets hope he will have more models this year
  11. I have been in Budapest's LEGO meeting, I live in neighbor country and I do not speak Hungarian, but I definitely recommend you to go if you can. It is worth to see everything even if you are not into some LEGO theme! I went there with a friend who speaks both languages, but wherever you are people should know to talk English, which is what I did there, and there was not any problems! I will try to go again next year.
  12. Incredible renders, as always. Can someone explains a little bit how the Code Pilot works? I have seen 8479 on YouTube when the truck is moved in different speed, sound of the engine is changed as well, and when truck stops, you can hear air brakes, and when claw is operating, engine works fast. I like that very much.
  13. So Conchas, since you have them, did you make some kind of review for them? Or if not, can you do it here?
  14. Great series of videos! Regarding filling tires with smaller tires in order to achieve stiff main tire, is there a way to do this on a Power Puller tire? Not to remove the skidding effect of the wheel inside the tire, but just to make the tire stiff, so the tire doesn't deform under the weight of the vehicle? I have seen some idea with the Technic connectors inside the tire, if somebody has some more ideas, please share.
  15. Happy Birthday! Best Wishes!
  16. Well...not bad...I guess... WOOOOW, Awesome, man!
  17. I used this idea as soon as I got 8275 two years ago. It works as (expensive) cable extension.
  18. Welcome! Have fun!
  19. Alasdair, is that project you are working on your big excavator?
  20. Yes, M is steering motor. two XLs are for drive. No there is no diff lock. Belt is doing great job here. I tested the whole assembly with a weight on it, and it doesn't slip. Don't know for the final model, though. If it start slipping, I will simply add another belt, but it wont.
  21. Finality, after full day of tweaking, rebuilding, testing (not counting few days before turntables) my best axle is done! I decided to use 4x4 turntables, two per axle, and they work excellent. Here is one finished axle, it looks like it is being made for TrialTruck, not for Mobile Crane, but Liebherr cranes are described as a All-Terrain Mobile Cranes. It can not be seen good, but that gray axle is driveshaft, and it goes through the turntable, just on one side, and continues to the two back axles. Steering pivot point is less than a stud from the tire, steering lock is about 35 degrees. It can be set to 45 degrees, but axles than becomes 1 stud longer, I will see about that yet. Space between shock absorbers and M motor is where the fat chassis sits. All 3 axles are exactly the same. So this axle has Drive, via worm to 24t diff Steer, 35 or 45 degrees Suspension, with 2 gray shock absorbers Bracing in vertical and longitudinal directions Two Bearings that take off pressure from drive-shaft, Motor, so every axle can be operated separately.
  22. The axles on stable roof is nice idea. But that hat... brilliant. It looks so real!
  23. Very nice techniques! And nice oven, too! Stars are awesome!
