(MOC) Liebherr LTM 1050
Milan replied to Milan's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Ok after 3 two days of tweaking and tuninng I come up with my best outriggers so far. Dimensions are the same, and configured to fit the scale of the crane (20 studs wide) Wide 20studs Height 5 studs (without cylinders) 10 studs (with cylinders) Length 5 studs Extended 44 studs Just to say hey are very rigid and they can hold the whole crane in air now (crane not finished), with some wight added to simulate completed model. Connection to the chassis is done via vertical beams and 6 pins, will show that later. Hoses goes underneath the boxes, I have the idea how to fit them. As told before, all RC here. I will review them in full when the crane is finished for now few pictures: -
Beautiful MOC! Colors are great! I like the interior and secret rooms, although I cannot see all the pictures from BS yet. Size of this MOC is great!

Awesome plates! It would be even better if the plate was LEGO 0937 :classic:

Great looking and functional outriggers! They will provide good base for a future (bigger projects). I agree that they are a bit too wide for small cranes, but for bigger one (like LTM 1100 5.2 and above) they can fit much better. Will present my outrigger design today, I have been tweaking them for a past 2 days. So, which outriggers will you use on your crane?

Can't agree more! There is no point in arguing about tastes. But it is interesting for me to hear from you guys who like this style of building and this look. I respect that and support it. Yes, I have seen a real Camaro. Of course, nothing wrong with that. In fact, I like that he builds exclusively cars, as opposed to those who build only construction vehicles and only trucks. I would like to see more of his cars in the future. I don't understand this...

I know that forum... I would say make your own site, or move totally to the most popular site, regarding Technic building. Don't return to his site, it would mean that you are accepting quilt. What are you are going to do with your videos promoting his forum? -
Firas has very unique models! When I first saw his creations I was like...WOW. This GT40 with chromed wheels is awesome, too! Good luck on Ebay!

Small Forklift Truck

Excellent! Small but packed with functions, and aesthetic is still great! -
Wow those pictures took a long to load, can you resize them to 800x600? I can see that this car took many many hours to design and build, as with every Paul's creation, but I hate to see all those gapes and it has too blocky look for my taste. I know he has huge number of fans, but I don't like the outside of his cars. Underneath the body, I admire that drivetrain and modular building.

I like the 6x6, too It could benefit from another XL, and from a little more speed! -

I made the extendable outriggers with pneumatics, all RC! The whole box is 5 studs wide, each outrigger can extend 12 studs, so total width of the vehicle in working mode is 44 studs. It could be more, but it would be much more pressure on the chassis. Each outrigger set has its own M motor, and all pneumatics are fed by one autovalve compressor. Pictures: (note that yellow outriggers will have yellow-black danger diagonal stripes) Chassis can hold pretty much weight, if it starts bending I will add another layer of beams on top of the chassis. -
Lego Pneumatic train
Milan replied to Burf2000's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
6 or more pump are needed to replace one big pump in terms of air provided, but it would sure improve air flowing (constant flow). It would be interesting to try that, if Burf2K has enough small pumps. -

Nice, did you try to gear up the XL so that it can pump faster? If it has power to ofc...
