  1. Also, I'd guess Iron-Man, Thor and Superman will all be sporting new suits when the new wave comes out so people will still buy them.
  2. Nice review, the set looks quite nice, if I can find it cheap I'll definitely get it just for the minifigures and those blue pieces.
  3. Love that, I hope the LEGO Nick Fury has that face as a reversible head!
  4. Didn't George Lucas want to make the Lord Of The Rings into a film, however he wasn't allowed? A few years later, Star Wars comes out.
  5. I can't believe I have a comment from the creator of the real LEGO set. Thanks! That fire extinguisher was a little nod to the official sets as well, glad you noticed!
  6. Love the Thor reference! Now all it needs IS Nick Fury I can do better than that, I also have a Black Panther fig to show off, I'll take pics later and add them here. EDIT: Here you go!
  7. Well the thing is, before I made this I thought I had a healthy supply of dark grey cheese slopes, it turns out I have A LOT less than 1000.
  8. Oh yes that's true, if any mod is looking can he/she do that for me please?
  9. Thanks very much!
  10. This film is going to be... Interesting. I can't wait to see LEGO make a Rocket Raccoon and Thanos.
  11. Well at least those pirates don't look as bad as I thought they'd be.
  12. I think the Guardians of the Galaxy movie deserves it's own thread. So SDCC gave us the first images of GOTG, some really cool minifigures could be made out of this, huh?
  13. All those announced figures will be in retail sets.
  14. Has it been confirmed how much the Spidey set is in the UK? Because if it's £20 it may just be worth it.
  15. I'm hoping with Iron Man 3 we'll get a mustard coloured suit, war-machine suit and patriotic war-machine suit. I'm guessing images for the May wave will be in January?
  16. Well, who didn't see the Avengers film? It was amazing, and I felt I needed to make my own MOC from the film, so I chose to make the Quinjet! The number 1 form of transportation for your little Avengers. Featuring propellers, opening doors, moving wings, seats for 2 pilots and seating areas for your mini Thor or Captain America. My MOC took around 2 months, with large breaks of not adding anything to it mind. The first problem was colour, the jet is light grey in the official set, in some pictures it looks black and indeed the original Quinjet was light grey, however I felt the film version was more of a darker grey, so that's the first change from the original set. Another problem is, this is my first proper LEGO aircraft, with more experience I think it could have looked cooler. One thing you can notice here is that the wings don't have a giant S.H.I.E.L.D logo on them like in the movie, unfortunately I don't own the official set, so cutting up the decals from that was a no go. But I do have the jeep, so I used those stickers. Here's the top of the Quinjet, you can see here the working flaps on the wings and just under those, propellers! For some reason I'm rather fond of those. Here's our brave pilots, based on the tiny images I could find of those soldiers walking out the Quinjet. They're probably not entirely accurate, but they'll do me. Anyway, the cockpit can fit 2 people! Now that I truly am proud of, it was tedious, but I managed it in the end. And here is the working door, the last thing I finished on my MOC. I don't have many of those slope type bricks in grey, so I improvised, changing some grey to dark blue, the MOC at this point was starting to look too grey for my liking, it needed to look like a S.H.I.E.L.D vehicle. Agent Coulson doesn't like you playing Galaga, but secretly when no one's looking he goes straight onto the Quinjet's computer to play it. Ignoring the hand, this is probably my favourite part of the MOC. Everyone's obsessed with making things studless, so even the bottom of my Quinjet is studless! Swooshability: 9/10 (Very swooshable surprisingly) Accuracy: 7/10 Amount of dark grey cheese supply used: 99.99% (And I still wanted it to have more cheese) Bonus shot: See? This thing CAN fit the Hulk. Thanks for looking and please comment and criticise.
  17. I don't know, this is a license theme, made for iconic characters. I think it's been made clear that everyone's purely buying the sets for the awesome minifigures. The other parts are nice, but in my opinion the minifigures are certainly the main draw of this line.
  18. Yes, with all the license themes LEGO has became rather trendy nowadays. Loads of people have a Death-Star or Hogwarts on display. Also, LEGO has increasingly been shown more in the media, such as magazines, newspapers and TV.
  19. Carnage and Mysterio! I'm sure we'll get these guys later though!
  20. No point painted LEGO if he/she can simply exchange the planks with tiles.
  21. I like your Aquaman! Instead of putting the blood as a tile, you could get rid of a couple 'o planks and put the blood there.
  22. I gather this license will last VERY long, superheroes have always been popular, like Star Wars has been. I personally would love to see some more obscure characters. And we will get them because this theme is very popular I've heard.
  23. Those figures are VERY limited though, only 1000 of each I think.
  24. DC Arkham Asylum- Joker, Scarecrow and Batman in black suit(wings) £60-70 Mr Freeze pursuit(?)- Mr Freeze and White Batman. Some sort of underwater or ice vehicle. £20 Aquaman set(Obviously not a good set name)- Aquaman vs The Penguin in his submarine £20 Tumbler- Tumbler 'batmobile' with Bane, Batman with dark grey suit and Commissioner Gordon Marvel (I haven't seen Ultimate Spiderman) Daily Bugle attack- Smallest set, table with newspapers Jonah Jameson, Spiderman and Beetle £10 Some sort of big set with Nick Fury, Spiderman, Nova, Venom and Dr.Doom. Since it has 3 heroes in it probably a S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters £70-80 I am very dubious over the big Marvel set as I think it has too many iconic characters in one set, maybe Venom would be in a £20 set so everyone will buy it (Affordable) like the Deadpool set.
  25. Venom for Marvel and Anti-Freeze Batman for DC (I'm guessing that's white Batman) But my top two are actually both Marvel, the other's Dr.Doom.
