great pics prateek (thanks to you as well Navy Trooper Fenson), thanks a lot!! I'll be getting them all as usual, but finally I know what I'll be getting.

...but we're getting just a little off topic here...and respect to your fiance gotoAndLego

Superbly done, the look on Leia's face is priceless. Lots of wonderful details to look at, but not at all cluttered. Very good work, I can't stop myself from continually going back to look at it!

I believe Obi-wan is wishing Han the best of luck in getting through the upcoming ordeals involving some serious bondage. Maybe an alternative title could have been "The kinky side of the Force" I don't know about Vader's helmet though - does Leia put on her father's mask, or does she make Han wear it? Whatever, pretty twisted, and don't really want to follow this line of thought any further Quite an original scene with some hefty inuendo, but well executed.

What a great scene, absolutely love the look on the cook's face! Perfect! And Darth Vader's bib - what a great detail. The yellow/white checkered tableclothe adds some great color contrast, and the wall is spot on. It's like in intimate peek into someone's life where you'd expect something very different. Enjoyed this entry very much Great stuff , thanks. Do you miss wearing your bib?

You got me there For 10179, I needed many(!) large containers, actually ended up using my son's billiard (play size) table top as well. It was fun...

Just got mine the other day and have finished building it. I must say it was a very enjoyable build with many different interesting techniques, and looks great (yes, the astromech dome is too big, but I don't care because it looks really neat). The cockpit interior is very nice - and with all the stickers at least the 2x2 tile for the console is printed. As with every set there are some details that could have been done better (which have all been discussed throughout this thread), but overall I'm very satisfied. It's actually much larger than I imagined it would be, and the display stand allows you to swivel the ship around in a full circle. In my opinion it is absolutely worthy of the UCS title considering the 'low' piece count (although the numbered bags are something I'll never enjoy - I like to sort and prepare, which isn't nescessary with numbered bags - and they just don't belong in UCS set). I'm very pleased with it

Now that just made my day!!! Glad to know you share his opinion on the carpet though, Cavegod. Otherwise great work on the ship, will there be any pictures of the interior?

I think the bantha is just . Thanks for sharing.

It was a good day for me but not for my bank account . To satisfy my Star Wars addiction: 3 Star Wars key chains and 1 magnet. UCS Shuttle 10212 and UCS Starfighter 10215. But the shuttle has to stay unopened until christmas . Christmas sets for my son and me: 40008, 40009, 40010, + santa magnet. Tree decoration 852744 and last but not least, my first LEGO decorations for advent, 10199 Toy shop and 10216 Bakery. Bring it on! (and those 1000+ VIP points sure look good )

Well, I did mention I like working out a trade... so I'm open to discussion. But I think my offer is pretty fair. Plus I think your comment, as well intended as it may be, would have been better off as a pm, because if you're not interested in a trade why bother with posting in this thread? But thanks for bumping the topic. @brickbybrick and CallMePie, thanks for your support guys. And maybe I'll have better luck with you next time, brickbybrick, but thanks anyway. Just to get this back on topic, I do have other sets that I no longer want and would be willing to trade (we'd have to discuss what's what first though). Indiana Jones 7261, 7622, 7623, 7626, 7627 Town plan 10184 Technik PF Bulldozer 8275 All sets are complete with box and instructions, mostly the stickers have not been applied, the sets were displayed and not played with, so the bricks are in like-new condition. My original offer is of course still valid. And if someone is interested, I'll answer directly with a pm as I don't want to bump my own thread. Thanks

Hi there. The only star wars figure I'm missing is a gold-chrome c-3po, and that makes me sad. Maybe you can help me change this, because that would be doing me a great favor . I'd be willing to trade a MISB 8129 AT-AT, plus MISB complete minifigures series 1+2 for a MISB gold-chrome c-3po. Sound to good to be true - well, if you don't live in Switzerland postage will be an issue , but I enjoy making a fair trade, so let's talk if you want... please... anyone... NOW!!! Still sound to good to be true, then drop me a pm if you're interested/can help. Cheers Nathaniel p.s. I also have IJ 7621, 7622, 7623, 7627, not MISB, but great condition, box + instructions, not all stickers applied.

I couldn't agree more.

I seriously doubt that the boy wanted to inhale the brick, so I think calling him stupid is a little harsh. Lots of strange accidents happen in life due to whatever kind of happenstance circumstances, that's just part of the game. Maybe he also gets pleasure out of sucking on LEGO, and someone slammed a door or surprised him, and it happened. Who knows? Or did I miss some detail in the news article? But LEGO should certainly not have to fear any legal repurcussions, as it is certainly not their fault. I wish the boy and his family all the best, but I also hope that the parents (or any other parents) don't freak out and feel that LEGO is unsafe, because it isn't (life just happens to be unsafe sometimes). I once went to a hospital at 2 in the morning in an ambulance with my son because his lips were turning blue and he wasn't breathing properly, and there is nothing worse (except the death of a child) than feeling so helpless as a parent in such a situation. 10 years down the road my son is fine . I guess what I want to say is that often enough I really enjoy black humor and being macabre, but being so harsh on the kid for choking on a LEGO brick because of possible ridculous legal repurcusions that could happen for the toy we so love is just a bit too much in my opinion.

Thanks NavyTrooperFenson, it's looking pretty good for next year. As they are prelims I'm not going to get hyped up about details, but I'll certainly be getting them all no matter what. I don't worry too much about which figures come from which episodes (OT/PT/Clone Wars/EU), I end up liking them all anyway 'cause I'm such a sucker for anything LSW .

I went to my TRU yesterday (in Switzerland) and picked up 8099 and 8129 for 20% off, and asked the women who has been running the LEGO department there for many years if she knew anything about a white boba fett promotion. Unluckily her answer was negative, so I guess this promo wont be happening here in Switzerland (the saleswoman has always been well informed) But she did tell me that in September they would have a Yoda magnet set promotion. Certainly haven't heard/read anything about that yet... As the original Yoda magnet set is the only LSW magnet set LEGO have not re-released, I'm assuming it will be this one in the new format (magnet brick rather than magnets-in-the-legs/torso). Plus: as the information I have received from this saleswoman has always been correct (she also lets me peek in the next years retailer catalogue when she gets it), I certainly believe that this will be the case. Although I have no proof to back up this info, I believe her. It would be a great way to pick up more yoda's. Cheers

Marshall banana's: 'That wasn't a laser blast, something hit us' For me, you just hit the nail on the head Clone O'Patra, this reflects my feelings and thoughts 100%. This MOC is more than just LEGO, it is an exquisite work of art. This is one of the scenes I remember as a seven year old, and believe me, at that time my family didn't have a TV (which even for 1977 was pretty strange), so seeing the movie at the cinema just blew me away, literally right out of my seat - my parents like to tell me I didn't sleep for a week after that . There are many great creations in this contest, but finally, my descision is very subjective to the relationship I have with star wars, and marshall banana's scene, on top of being beautifully rendered, just 'get's me all shook up.'

Maybe, but I think the 'SDCC special' deserves its own thread as it's not a LEGO release for the whole market, but a real exclusive only for the SDCC convention... Yup, not a rumor but reality. Well, if Brickdoctor is right with his piece count of 416, that would mean all 5 cube dudes for $75, which I think for a real exclusive is a pretty good deal (plus the possibility of getting it signed by the set designer Angus Maclane...), but yeah, it's a lot of money for very few parts, and only interesting for those collectors who want it all (like me - but I'll build them out of spare parts/PaB orders/bricklink, as my wallet isn't fat enough/or my boss not generous enough ). I think they're pretty hot stuff!

Thanks for finishing the building Jammiedodger714. And lots of nice pictures, plus the comparrison shots with the motorized version. Thanks. That is true, which irks me, but as a LSW completist, it will be standing on my shelf someday soon anyway . There are some plus points (the new neck, luke's helmet ), but otherwise the model has been 'downsized' too much. But for all who don't have an at-at, I think it's pretty good.

My thoughts exactly. Good luck!

I don't like the 'flap' boxes either, but I just use a sharp knife and cut the box at the corner - cleaner than tearing the flap. Yeah, me too, I can't wait to see what this set is really like. Get building

Wow, I just died and went to heaven (wasn't aware heaven was in Australia... ). What an awesome shop Thanks for sharing.

Everything about this ship just works really well for me, the colors, the SNOT, you name it. I particulary like the use of the inverted canopy and the amount of playability you have packaged into such a smooth design. Look forward to checking out all the pictures as soon as I have time, as there are still so many details I have had a glimps of but not looked at. What a great model!

Would I like to make an offer???!!! Yes, I would very much so! And have.
