almost like the real stuff!
now we just need some of that "string with 2 round plates at each end" (not sure what it is actually called in LEGO terms but it was available in some sets) for the wiring between the poles!
it will be hard to find one at the price you wanted.
but look at this: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=58746
there is a Green Grocer there
O' Flower of Scotland...
Nice MOC...historical MOCs are always of interest to me.
by the way, those tan legs at the left bottom corner of the MOC. what are they for?
Cheers!
i was just to about ask if those buildings above the tunnel were on their baseplates and laid on top or otherwise. thanks for your reply above!
you have managed to seamlessly laid the baseplates on the tunnel. that was real good!
the tunnel looks real huge and roomy...!
Nice police station! Compact and complete!
i like your facade! that must have taken up some (read: many) bricks!
the case files are sure plenty for this police station!
i would think that MOCs do not have to come from any one source. it can be from some buildings you have seen on your travels/commute/books/neighbourhood.
if there are parts you are lacking, use substitutes (if the parts are expensive).
not enough parts? Bricklink is the world's lego market. alternatively get Creator sets. normally 2 sets (+ maybe a trip to Bricklink for a few small bits) can do a good MOC Modular house.
studs or no studs? is up to you. tiling the whole building can use up a lot of tiles (i.e. $$) though it looks "cleaner"
as have been mentioned so far, u just need to focus and narrow down to what you really like. as much as you like LEGO, surely there must be some sets/themes you like more. zoom in on those. if not, ur problem could get "worse"...
as for the rest, store them away in a store or sell them.
by the way, are you staying alone? or with your family? if with family, do they complain? or they also collect LEGO?
in the dim light, it looks great! faster come out with your MOC!
was it a pre-planned MOC before you did the modular houses? if so, that was great planning. if not, must have been tough "relocating" the actual builts onto modified pavements and then further modify the modulars.
@prateek: the pavement looks brick-built. because if you look at the lady (the person at the front of the MOC), she seems to be walking up/down a flight of steps. the diagonal should thus be cheese slopes.
i have only browsed through some random pages and the things i have seen are really amazing!!
not is the MOC huge (based on the baseplates on Page 1), it is also "thick" (based on the landscape in the last pic)!
have you got an overall view of the whole MOC? that will be real
i like the medic room where 2-1B is working. just like the movie's room with the glass tank!
is Hoth cold enough? why is the rebel soldier having an ice-cream?
ACPin, I lost count of the number of MOCs in this thread!
I like the use of brown hands on the Guard Observation post in the 1st MOC. Ditto the floor finish to the gate where the horse was coming in!
