whats a Nostradamus? Sorry, I don't get the reference... so I'm not sure if you're saying that he's probably right or probably wrong about the new theme.... well, at the moment I'm hoping he was just speculating on how bad it will be... since UFO didnt look too good to me, too many wierd printed parts
-
***various sad reactions from everyone*** Now hang on guys! before we get all worried, Jindroush, who told you this and did you see photos? How do you know its going to be bad? If it's just speculation we shouldn't worry just yet.

I'm envious of the bricks used in that thing.... some hard to find colors in there...
-
seen the hovercraft at my Lego Store but holding off on buying because the bottom of it seems to be one gigantic brick. Anyone who bought it comment on what the base is? and how whatever wheels are underneath it work?

Saw this on Brickshelf http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=legostar

I wish some modern sets would make those old rocket nozzle bricks more widely available... at best you'd find !1! in a big 50 fire station acting as a loudspeaker... Modern spaceship MOCs tend to lack good manuvering thrusters....
-
So its pretty much the same basic figure construction each year... just with new armor/face pieces...? in terms of building technique... they look like they might actually be getting simpler... I'm not impressed by these latest ones...

:-D :-D :-D Amused My LDD imitation creator sets (see above) were rejected from the online gallery this morning. I guess they don't want you to buy them early. :-P I'll take that as a compliment. I wonder what tipped them off, I'd guess that the moderator for that stuff only gives a quick glance to make sure no one tries to upload models that spell bad words out in bricks.... Heres a cool thought suppose I upload again, but this time put a single 2*2 brick Right infront of the camera so it fills up the entire screen adn you don't see the 'cloned' models in the background? Think they'd catch that one?
-
Just did this, not availble for purchase at the moment due to a shortage of wheels in stock... but approximately 21$USD

Ya know, I'm really starting to think that legomilk works for TLC's grahic design department or something. He keeps giving us all these nice pre-release box pics... thanks for the pics

wheres 7874? Awwh... They look really good. It's too bad they're probably either japanese releases or promos. I really want them That tractor looks awesome, anyone have a guess on how that backhoe is attached?

Fairly sure the codes are different for individual boxes (of the same set). I wonder if they care about more than one person using the same code...

MOC: #8100 "Cyclone Defender" alternate (sort of)

Nice about the only thing I'd change is those trans green cylinders on the hip shields you can remove the black technic pins holding them on, and just flip them 180 so they stud into the technic connector that would free up the two black pins for other projects (as opposed to deforming them permanently; technic pins pushed into round 1*1s supposedly breaks them after a while) I wonder what you can build with just One copy of that set... Yeah, I agree about the 'limited deck' challenge sometimes when you have "builder's block", working with just a few parts helps a lot. -
Having 3 legs doesn't bother me so much as the fact that there are no hip joints. The knees bend, so each 'foot' can lift up and down. But with no hips the top part of the leg is kinda locked in position; meaning it can't be posed reaching a leg forward to take a step, or crouched down ready to jump like a spider, ore really much at all... it's pretty much a statue (same problem as Striking Venom) they sacrificed joints in favor of making the legs hold more weight. to see what I mean enter your exo-code onto the website and view the cute animation of the Crawler jumping around; impossible poses since the real model doesn't have hip joints... I also kinda wish they'd include a red hairpiece for Dead Hayato (guy in the pod) But I guess if he's been in there so long that just bones are left then his hair probably fell out too...

In the past he has indeed been right about such things. I'm kinda curious about How that is possible. LegoMilk are you one of the mythical 'lego ambassadors'? or do you simply work for or know someone who works for TLC?(in which case it's probably against policy for you to be telling us this stuff right?)
-
YUP! :-D Exactly.
-
Look a little closer at Shadow Crawler it comes with a second minifig, guess who!

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=219442 I recognize that front loader, and it is most definetly Not Pneumatic so whats going on with that wierd box that says otherwise?

Found this on brickshelf.. New creator set
xenologer replied to 5150 Lego's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Got this one myself actually, because I wanted the big windshield piece. That is a NEW piece btw, it *looks* a lot like an old piece, but in fact the sides have been made thinner so it is more of a true windshield now. Very useful feature since now you can use it on a Space cockpit and have a 6wide interiour instead of 4wide. I'll have to pick up a second set to stack those windshields in Classic Space style... Yeah, I bought it for parts, the models themselves are ok. Not minifig scale unfortunatly. The main car model bothered me because the side windows are fake -see the black 1*2 brick behind the 'glass'? that protrudes into the passenger cabin when doors close. The truck was ok, nice doors, good city scale except you're going to have to redo the interiour if you want to fit a minifig; it's for looks only. At the moment I've got it built as the F1 Racer, this is the best of the 3 models -because it lets me use that big windshield for Space :-D -
The way things are going nowadays, the presence of a Female minifig alone makes the High Speed Loco worthwhile also seems to have some nice slopes, that nose cone, and big windshielf for Space mocs.... out of the rest of those... I already have Heavy Loader, Batboat, Ferrari Fuel, and Rescue Heli mainly wanted them for parts, but so far they mostly sit on a shelf intact (except for the Heli, that ones turned out to be the most useful)

Am I right in thinking that the telescopic arm pieces on the FireStation's Firetruck is the same piece as seen in the new Rough Terrain Crane Technic set? I dont have the budget for the full station... but if I take that part from the crane, and stick it onto last years yellow Airport Firetruck... might be a good mod. whats the 'pneumatic cylinder' thing on the arm btw?
-
mini racers? oh you mean the Tiny Turbos yeah they seem to have nicer design and parts than last year too at least the green one has some rare 1*1 green slopes, and some robot arms the yellow one has the new yellow mudflaps red one has 6 1*2 handlebar plates black one has two nice big slopes hmmmh even the ExoForce mini mechas are more like medium sized compared to last year

Mini Construction http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=4915&cn=348&d=70 I'm definitly buying a few of these, nice classic wheels. And yellow parts. main creator theme page http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Leaf.aspx?cn=348&d=70 see the Monkey, Robot, and Helicoptor ones too... Looks like they're getting rid of the old X-Pod Pod cases, at least they have more pieces it seems... more expensive too tho...

It would seem that you have some inside info care to tell us where that comes from? maybe leak us a few pics or whatever?(I won't tell on you) P.S. What is a Lego Ambassador? and what is their relationship with TLC? Are they employees specially assigned to do word-of-mouth PR? Are they simply fans like you and me doing unpaid volunteer work? Are they just guys with special contacts (friend works for TLC) who spread stuff unofficially? And how can any of us become one? N/m I found a link here if you didn't know either: http://www.lego.com/eng/info/default.asp?page=ambassadors but it does bring up an additional question, apparently an abassador recieves pre-launch (read: leaked) product information. Now, whats the logic of telling a select few people information that you don't want leaked early? or do they?

New Ferrari F430 Challenge & new 1:24 F1 (UPDATE: Ferrari F1 Team)
xenologer replied to DoubleT's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd guess that there are Not enough parts to have two cars; they probably give you just an extra set of yellow slopes and whatnot to change the color of the outside. But everything under that like chassis and interiour is only a single copy.
