I voted for PT as well. Mainly because we've seen tons of great OT stuff, and while the EU has good story, I'm not sure how much of that would translate into good sets. We need to see a lot more sets from the Clone Wars, featuring cool characters such as Ki - Adi Mundi and Asaji Ventress.

Just thought I'd show you where my vig's inspiration came from, as it's probably something you guys will find funny anyways. This guy was at Celebration Europe, and in our opinion (LordT and I) had one of the best costumes of the day. Oh yeah, and vote for me ;-)

I know how it can feel embarrassing buying what is effectively a children's toy. You should try not to worry what people think, as others have said in their thread, if they judge you on just a hobby or interest you have, they don't deserve to know you. Also, people in shops, meh, you probably won't see the same face twice, so it really shouldn't matter. They're just doing their job, and if they step out of line, get em fired ;-)

I voted for PaulC's awesome Modular Cars. I really like the firestation as well, but I would just love to race those awesome cars about after I'd put them together in some crazy ways.

Happy Birthday Sir! Let us hope you get some more good vig making materials!

Whack-a-Fig Contest Semi-Final Round 1
JoeMI6 replied to Hinckley's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I voted for Sir Nadroj. The expression on his face at getting whacked with a Kraken is priceless! -
Welcome Hannah! I'm sure you'll fit in well here at EB, and if not, I'm sure your husband will use his force choke to get us in line ;-) I hope you enjoy yourself here, and once again, congratulations!

I'm going through a bit of a slump too. I haven't bought any sets this year, as there are other things to buy. I think the recent contests have reminded me how fun it all can be though. You don't even need to buy all the new sets to feel great.

Without further ado, here is my entry. (I'm not cutting it fine at all X-D ) Deep within the dark recesses of the Death Star, Darth Vader ponders upon his newly created dish. 22 years has been well worth the wait... Kill Jar Jar? I think it depends on how he tastes...

Nice entry Tanotrooper, but it'd be even nicer if it was in the correct thread ;-)

Thanks lol. Those pieces were sitting around for a while and I couldn't be bothered to clean it. Anyways, I think it adds ambiance :-P Here's a funny little caption pic I made for the vig. created with fd's flickr toys.

One day, Vader was taking a stroll on the Forest Moon of Endor. JoeMI6 was happily sitting in a small clearing by a tree. When he saw the dark figure walk on past him, Joe had a sudden rush of jealousy. He wanted that cape. He knew how much more badass it would look on him than Vader. An anime like rage overtook him, and he jumped towards the unsuspecting Sith, wielding the only tool available to him. A frog-on-a-stick. EDIT: Sorry about the original huge photo sizes, they're a normal size now.

A question which may have already been answered, what time will it finish on August 8th? As I'd like to enter, but need to know how much time I have.

happy birthday guys!

Looks like a really nice set overall, great review Mutley. I think this may be one of the few sets I could end up getting this year, it's got some great figs in it.

Hairspray. It really surprised me, it's such a feel good movie and you can't help tapping your feet along to all the catchy tunes. It's got a nice moral center about tolerance and is just great fun. I challenge you not to laugh at John Travolta playing a woman.

Yes, modifying a memory is different to using obliviate, which destroys the target's memory. I'm not sure what the different spell is though.

The same way Harry got it out of the hat in book 2. Neville is a true Gryffindor, and therefore could remove the sword from the hat, even though it was in Griphook's hands.

Great vigs so far guys, but I have just come up with an awesome idea, now, if only I can find a Jar-Jar mini-fig...

lol. This looks fantastic, great comic, and I hope the fight will be just as good. "Lay your bricks gentlemen" MOC Mega fight on!

Hot Fuzz is a fantastic movie, as is Shaun of the Dead. The last movies I saw were Simpsons and Transformers, both really enjoyable summer pictures. Just more movies proving that this really is an awesome year for cinema (no matter what the critics say ;-))

Saw the movie today, with LordT and another friend - a damn good movie. I thought that the action was all fantastic, and although I had trouble identifying some Decepticons at times, and there was some silly love scenes and ropey dialogue, it certainly did its job. It's a fun summer movie, which I'd happily see again with my friends. Now, to try and find some of the good toys in the UK... ;-)

I finished the book two days ago - I'm a fast reader, but I didn't want to rush it. I think it's the best book, despite its faults. The ending was rather clich

Your welcome, and hopefully we'll see you at the next one too! I'm sure that this one was such a huge success, they'll have to bring it to Europe again.
