Talk about a flood of new entries. Our job just became one helluva lot harder X-D. Just to say, we have decided to close the contest at 6pm GMT. Lord Thrawn and I will try our hardest to come up with a voting thread as soon as possible ;-).

This is the sort of lego I love. The models that are so good they don't even look like lego X-D. It's amazing to see the level of detail that some will go to just to have the perfect build. I don't think this is really even an MOC, more like a work of art.

I concur with Thrawn. It was one hell of a good theme. It's a shame that it's not one that lego made to last.

That's one cool MOC. Makes me wish I had some of the older Castle stuff...

I've had thoughs about this as well. It could very easily be converted into a nice Pirate ship with the right builder at the helm. It's got some of the exact right pieces.

I've never been attracted to Star Trek either, but these simple MOCs work very well.

All this extra preparation makes me wonder whether the best entries are being saved til last. ;-)

Your great review has convinced me not to purchase this large set. I don't usually like UCS and this just seems like another set to pass me by. If I ever had the urge to want all those nice parts though, this could just be the purchase I'd make...

If they do this right, it could be very interesting. The one problem is that there is not a real straight storyline to follow, like in Star Wars. But after the improvements made in LSW 2, I can't wait to see how this turns out.

Although I don't like Megabloks myself, I agree with others in saying that we shouldn't criticise the fans of it. Everyone has their own opinions, and whilst Lego fans will probably outnumber MB fans, that's not to say that one of us is right or wrong.

A watched a classic today. Recorded from Film Four's 'Films to see before you die', I saw A Clockwork Orange. This made me realise the many reasons why Kubrick is praised to such extremes. It also means that I'm gonna have to see a lot more of his work soon. The Shining, Eyes Wide Shut and Spartacus, here I come...

Although I don't have the resources to make a build for this competition, I think that all the entries so far are very good. I'd have a hard time deciding the winner.

Jeez... This is the sort of thing that makes me want a Pirate ship. It's seriously cool. Arguably I could never create something of this magnitude, but it just shows how the Pirate theme is crying out for a reissue.

Some ok pics, but I think you need to take a bit more care with the whole thing. It all seems a tad slapdash. I think I might be pushed to get this set. After many comments from Thrawn and some intriguing pics from you, it might be one of my last purchases of the year.

It seems I'm gonna have to wait til my birthday for this gem. But it could turn out that I just can't wait! :-D

I finally completed my Inika collection today with Jaller. I hope he turns out to be satisfactory.

Even though I like Bioncle to start with. I can see where these guys are coming from. It's not that good, there are much better MOCs out there. You need more money than sense to even be able to create something of that scale. I agree with Yoda on this one *yoda* ;-)
