  1. Here's a very funny clip comparing the PS3 and Nintendo Wii. It would make sure the Wii reaches all audiences: Wii-Very very fun. Enjoy!
  2. Hey guys, I'm making a fig, and I'd like on of his weapons to be a bow and arrow, with a quiver as well. I'm just wondering if anyone has one they'd like to trade or sell to me. Just PM me if you've got them to give. I'll see what I can do in the way of trades. Preferably English seller so I don't have to pay much P&P (even though it's just a bow, arrow and quiver ;-))
  3. I don't usually speed through builds, as I like to make sure I get it right first time. However, I don't usually have too much trouble either. I was a bit troubled by the Sailbarge recently (my biggest Lego set ever bought) as there were just so many pieces. It took me about eight hours (in between eating dinner). The stickers on it were a pain at first, but they are mostly all in similar places, so it was relatively easy. The latest Slave 1 was a bit frustrating also, but I soon got into the swing of it. I doubt I'd ever buy a UCS set, unless it was something like the AT-ST. Stuff like the ISD and DS II would just be too daunting and expensive for me.
  4. The demo is great guys. What I think is the entire first level in Mos Eisley is present. I won't spoil too much, but I'll just say that we're in for a real treat here. It's shaping up to be an amazing game, and if they handle all the other levels as well as this one, it'll be awesome. Nothing beats pulling a stormtrooper's arms out of their sockets ;-) .
  5. If those are just the figs, then I can't wait to see some new mechs. Having them in those colours would look great. Let's hope the models are really polished this time around, just as good looking as these funky new figs.
  6. I know that prices are bound to differ from Country to Country, but over here in England, Umbra costs the same price as Brutaka and Axonn. Hmmm, strange and disturbing this puzzle is *yoda* - a quick Yoda moment there.
  7. Updated List: Jabba's Sail Barge-Got Imperial Star Destroyer-Not getting The Batmobile: Two Faces Escape-Got Matoro, Hewkii, Nuparu, Hahli-Got New Wishes Brutaka Kongu and Jaller Fire Copter Battle At The Pass Super Nova Batboat
  8. I've already asked Sam about this, and he gave exactly the same reply as Jipay. Now the question has been answered, I think that this thread should be closed by some flag bearing admin ;-).
  9. Well done again Vader. Some nice new figs there. Reily Spidey and Vulture do need work (unlucky about BL) but they look great otherwise. Rhino is very good as well. I'm glad you didn't feel the need to change him from mini-fig size. The improved Venom is looking great. Although the custom mouth looks a bit rough around the edges, it's still nice. Although it does cry for an elongated head (as Jinzo pointed out), I think you've done an amazing job considering the restrictions of mini figures. I hope to see more great custom figs from you Vader, keep it up!
  10. I heartily agree with your points here guys. I was blown away by the original Toa. Tahu was just so brilliant. Like a fusion between Lego and an action figure. Whilst the Bionicle franchise has been consistent, I don't see the point of stuff like the Bohrok Kal, the originals were ok enough. I guess it was their version of 'Nuvafying' the villains, but it just didn't work. Although I didn't get the Metru, Hordika, Visorak or Vahki, it doesn't seem like I was missing out on much. But this year TLC have got it just right. Thrusting me back into Bionicle with the great Piraka; only cool action features this time around, light up eyes of evil, zamor launchers of cool, and flip weapons of brilliance. Then came the Inika, which I swore to myself I would only purchase one of, the cool as ice-pun not intended :-P-Matoro. The package arrived, I ripped open the package and built him with super speed. He's beyond awesome, mega posable and a strobe sword of justice. The flashing lights hypnotised me into buying more, now I possess Hewkii, Nuparu, Hahli and Matoro. Normally, I would curse Lego for draining me of cash like this, but this year's Bionicle are so wicked, I don't think I care anymore ;-) .
  11. Yeah, I already used an extra sticker in my Bat Kart MOC:
  12. That's a brilliant MOC Dillon. It shows how bad the original Lego one was X-D. Although Episode 1 was one of my least favourite films, you MOC demonstrates how the vehicles in it were pretty damn good. Very well done, keep it up.
  13. A couple of weeks ago I saw the Truman Show starring Jim Carrey. Here is a quick plotline off IMDB for those who don't know about it: In this movie, Jim Carrey is Truman, a man whose life is a fake one... The place he lives is in fact a big studio with hidden cameras everywhere, and all his friends and people around him, are actors who play their roles in the most popular tv-series in the world: The Truman Show. Truman thinks that he is an ordinary man with an ordinary life and has no idea about how he is exploited. Until one day... he finds out everything. Will he react? I fail to see why this film recieved no Oscars, everyone who has seen it loves it, it is a truly underrated masterpiece. Jim Carrey pulls off one of his best performances to date in this, you truly feel for his character. The way the 'perfect' utopia is created is surreal, yet mesmerizing. Peter Weir deserves great credit for this amazing piece of film. I recommend that everyone sees this. So, until next time: "Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!"
  14. Recently I got my custom Master Chief helmet. On my trip to Legoland I bought Inika Hahli (brilliant Toa), a King Jayko keyring, and a Lego City Police Bike. Over the past few weeks I've managed to buy three other Toa Inika (Matoro, Hewkii and Nuparu), they are all wicked. I should also be putting up a shelf to keep all my Lego on today, which means I won't have it cluttering my bed room floor.
  15. Yes, and Topher Grace seems like a good choice to portray Eddie Brock/Venom. He can play both sides very well, showing Brock's inner suffering as the symbiote takes over.
  16. Woah, that looks amazing morten_somme. Must have taken a lot of work. It's all so symettrical and just great. You've managed to get it all just right. Arguably, more figs would look good, but you've done enough anyways. The best thing is it's a hangar that could be any part of the Death Star, you could even make a New Hope scene.
  17. Phew, lots of long words there Natelite. Thanks for the heads up on this. I may consider getting it, but I've probably spent enough on lego this year.
  18. I went to Legoland Windsor with Lord Thrawn today, we had a great time. I'm gonna put up some pics and a description of what we did later in the week.
  19. Welcome to EB Aaron, hope you enjoy your time here.
  20. Yeah, it is a plasma grenade. Also, who's to say that the Flood haven't come along and done that to the dead soldiers? ;-) I throughly recommend you buy a cheap copy of Halo and play it to the death Dillon. One amazing game. You can get the PC version really cheap off Amazon.

    The Black Pearl

Check out this thread, it's also the reason this thread exists. http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...?showtopic=5615 Thanks for the link oo7.

    The Black Pearl

Those are both pretty nice ships. I'd have to agree with the majority on this one, it's definitely the first for me. It just has that Black Pearl essence, it commands the eye's attention with it's majesty. Also, as it is bigger, it just looks more well done. There could probably be a lot of detail put within it. Now all we need to see is a Flying Dutchman with a crew of the damned to match! I'd also like to see some nice PotC custom figs, such as Jack or Will.
  23. Thanks for your comments guys. I took Ghost inspiration from a couple of models I saw on the net. The energy sword and Cobalt fig were both custom made for me by my great friend Lord Thrawn. I have also recently accquired a new custom MC helmet, so look out for a new MOC starring that soon!
  24. I've wached a fair few movies recently, 3 to be precise. First up is the second Pirates movie; Dead Man's Chest. I agree with most others on this, a good film, but not up to the standard of the first. There are only so many things that can be done with a Pirate film, but I loved the numerous references to the first film, and good jokes. I accquired a cheap copy of X-Men 1.5 on DVD whilst abroad, it's one great film, it really did set the standards for all comic book films that followed it. The effects and Singer's brilliant storytelling still stand up to more recent efforts. Last but not least, I saw Cars with a friend yesterday. Not up to Pixar's usual best. But you can definetly see how much the animation has improved since Toy Story. Not consistent humour, but the stuff that is funny is very funny. A feel good movie. I heartily recommend all three films.
  25. Wow, those are all great figs Vader. The Spidey ones are done very well. I have only one problem though, on the Venom fig, the head decal looks a bit out of proportion, but he's very well done otherwise. Be sure to put up a notice if any of these great figs are ever put up for sale ;-). Keep up the good work.
