  1. Really nice work with these, The Penguin! I love the little changes like the eye shadows, arm markings, and the lipstick on the female Orc. Also, great job using the upside-down scarf piece for the hat. It's a very effective technique. The Jester is really nice too. Nice job with these!
  2. I've seen something similar in this Ebay shop. I've ordered from them and I highly recommend them. Here's a specific example of the cloak. Is this what you imagined? They aren't too expensive, and I'm sure you could request a Custom Yoda one.
  3. Nice Brick Flick, curtisrlee! The animation is really smooth and the voices are great too. Being a magician myself, you wouldn't believe how I often I encounter people like that who "make [insert random food here] disappear". Overall, nice work.
  4. Yeah, what he said. Thanks for backing me up, booger540, that's exactly what I meant. Thanks for the new pictures, Oky Wan Kenobi! Zurg is starting to look better than Buzz, and I'm really digging the Western Town. Nothing new for the Battle Pack?
  5. Sorry to cut into the tan Rebel helmet discussion, but I watched the premiere of CW Season 2 tonight, and within the first thirty seconds, Plo Koon's starfighter appeared without a booster ring. I'm not sure what this means, but unless the ship appears later in the Season, it looks unlikely that it will include one. Just my two cents.
  6. Much appreciated, General Armendariz. Wow, January? Note to self: save a boatload (no pun intended) of cash for this.
  7. Amazing job with this vignette, Sir Gecko! Definitely gave me a good chuckle. I would agree that maybe making the Goblin's room a bit more homely and add some more funny details. An exasperated face perhaps? Maybe he's using hedge clippers to trim the roots? Just a few ideas you might like to try. And by the way, nice job using the BrickForge mushrooms.
  8. Huh? Where did the $180 come from? Did I miss something? Anyways, this made my day. Does this mean Lego lied to us? Or will this be a one-hit wonder?
  9. I just noticed my new title. Annoying confetti for magical "Inky"... All can be explained here, in Erdy's birthday thread. Official Description: I threw more virtual confetti in Erdbeereis' Birthday Thread just to make WhiteFang sweep it up. [/] I mean he is a servant in Mystical Castle right now.
  10. Thanks for the new, Pi! (You prefer Pi, don't you?) I must admit, I'm not that impressed with the Buzz. It looks far too <insert that tiresome argument>, and Knight's Kingdom reminiscent. I'm surprised that they made a new glass piece, because I was expecting the dome from the Agents Robo Mech thingy. Thanks for the heads up, now I think my wallet will relax a bit.
  11. Happy Birthday Erds! May you get even more Legos this year! *Inconspicuous throws even more confetti just to make WhiteFang angry*
  12. Great job, blovesH2O! It turned out much better than I thought it would based on your descriptions, and I love those Commando Droids! I know Photoshopping the box art can be quite difficult (I gave up on my entry) and it looks pretty good. I didn't know I was such and inspiration. Best of luck in the contest.
  13. I'm definitely interested, if I can find the time. Sign me up!
  14. Looking good, LLF. The animation looks really good and smooth, and there are some funny touches like the head falling at the end and speeder in the background. The plot was obviously not intended to be amazing, but I'd love to see your animation applied to a more complex story. Nice job on these!
  15. Link I would appreciate it if you could index mine. Thanks in advance. -Inconspicuous
  16. I considered this, but there never were any Commanders in the episode, and if I made my own, it would probably end up looking too much like Cody. Plus the ARC gear would throw me over the piece limit.
  17. Hey everyone, After around a month of Sharpie-ing, browsing Bricklink, and photography, I proudly present my entry in KimT's wonderful Battle Pack Contest! My favorite episode from The Clone Wars was Blue Shadow Virus, due partially to Dr. Vindi, and partially to the awesome Bomb Squad troopers. Naturally, I went out and designed a Bomb Squad Battle Pack for Vindi's Lab MOCs and various Vindi virus vignettes involving virtual... uh venison? ___________ Set Name: Clone Bomb Squad Battle Pack Set Number: 6188 Pieces: 70 Minifigs: 4 Bomb Squad Troopers Price: $10.99 USD Stop the Separatist forces with the Clone Bomb Squad! 18. I actually don't do Debate; I do Speech. (I do the category of Speech called Interpretation, which is one or two people acting out a literary work) I like to say Speech and Debate because it sounds better. My debating skills aren't that great, so no need to worry. And thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!
  19. Wow! Simply amazing Svelte! I'm a huge fan of the red brick patterns on the front, and some of those skyscrapers make me drool. Also, I love the fact that the station on the right has a 4 instead of a 3. Amazing work!
  20. Yes, indeed. Magic as a hobby goes almost as long as my love for Legos, but it wasn't until about 3 years ago that I started learning tricks more seriously and doing formal shows. I'll have to drop a line in the Decal Wish List forum for some card decals.
  21. Hi guys! A few not-so-new members finally posted in this forum, and since I never introduced myself, I thought I'd join the bandwagon. I've been playing with Lego my whole life. (Yes, I've never had a dark age. ) I can't remember my first sets, but my favorite themes include Star Wars, Pirates, Harry Potter, and Adventurers. I have 8 Classic Pirates sets, 4 of which I've already reviewed. Reviewing is a favorite hobby of mine, and I'm currently 1 away from becoming a teacher. In terms on non-Lego hobbies, my main one would be magic tricks. Hence, the magician avatar, with cards, wand, hat, etc. I perform at kids' birthday parties and school events, which is my main source of income to fund my Lego purchases. I also by classical guitar, tenor saxophone, and participate in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), Speech and Debate, Marching Band, and Drama. If there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to ask!
  22. Woah. If this is true, I will surely get this. This sounds just perfect since I'm a fan of Lego and the Clone Wars series. I have a funny feeling this has been discussed somewhere before. I'll try to dig up the link sometime. If they give us Vindi's lab I will explode. EDIT: Aha, here it is. Definitely gives some good ideas.
  23. I have. I did a ice/snow MOC which can be found here. It's fake snow actually. I've also used real ice to make a minifig ice-skating rink.
  24. A little off topic, but has anyone noticed that Arrowhead water ads have been appearing below this thread. Back on topic, I've worked a little with the pneumatics system, and I would really love to see it in use. Can anyone post a video or photo of a fountain using it?
  25. This is the solution I've used too. It's the same method I use in my real ice MOC's, like this one. I used water without plastic wrap before like in these pictures, and it has no effect on the bricks. However, freezing does have some minor effects. All of these were achieved using hoses outdoors, and you can see parts of them in a few of the pictures. I know this conversation is mostly about indoor and contained water, but I thought I share a few of my favorite water-related MOC's while we're at it.
