  1. Well, I liked this episode quite a bit, but for some reason at the same time I didn't. The action was quite nice, but the action was "war" action, in the sense that it was rather pointless man/Geonosian slaughter. Ki-Adi was made pretty lame, and it was one of the parts of this episode I was looking forward too. I didn't like the mismatched clones and CAT troopers randomly appearing didn't make sense. There were some good Geonosis references and remarks, but the plot was overall pretty poor. I guess that's what you sacrifice when you go for a battle-based episode.
  2. I'm planning to go to Lego store for a Death Star ( ) and maybe some other things too. I have one question- is it possible to get 0% off? Or is 10% guaranteed? I would really hate to wake up at 6 AM to get a Death for full retail price.
  3. I don't own any, but of the three I'd say I like 30008 the best. It has quite a bit of detail considering it's just a bit larger. I just like it more. The other two seem... to blocky and unrealistic. If I had to choose one over the other, I'd choose MMMB001. The arms work much better than 7687's. 7687's is just plain ugly. Hope this helped!
  4. I always listen to classical music while I build- usually Bach or random Spanish/South American pieces. Usually it gets drowned out by the noise. However, when I pause, I usually hear a snippet of the melody.
  5. I had the idea for this MOC a while ago, when the Cash for Clunkers plan was widespread. This is what happens when Clone Troopers lose motivation... I think it's pretty much self explanatory. Enjoy!
  6. I just found this on the internet: I'm pretty darn sure it's made by a fan, but it can give us an idea of what the dreaded printed visor would look like. Thoughts?
  7. I see your point. The idea of modding it with a trigger does sound appealing. If I have time, I'll give it a shot!
  8. I could always make your life easier and take a few pieces apart, if you're serious about copying. There are some SNOT sections that might throw you off. I was always told 'copying is the greatest form of flattery' so thank you very much. Oh boy. That would be a challenge. I might try one over the Holidays when I have more time.
  9. How exactly do you intend to do this? Could you actually build the gun based off of the pictures? Heh, heh, heh....heh. What's the difference again? I'm actually not a huge fan of guns and have no idea what you mean. This was originally intended to be part of my mobster Halloween costume, so it wasn't built solely for kicks.
  10. Indeed, the "trigger hole" as you call it (heck, I'm no better off myself!) took me the longest time to figure out. I started with a wire/pole piece bent into shape, but it was ruining the piece and came off to easily. Then this version was born! Thank you for the comments, CommanderFox and Batbrick!
  11. I said it was vaguely based off of the photo. First, I copied the picture's 2D shape and then added my own details, to make it seem real. I wanted it to gently curved outwards, but it guess it is a little steep. Thanks the the comments, Forresto and Milan!
  12. For fun I built a real-sized handgun. It's vaguely modeled after this: Here it is, in all its glory: Pretty slick, huh? Another angle: You can see the contours on the side well here. Front: Notice the lovely rounded effect. Side: Quite realistic, eh? Sorry for the blurry pics, but my camera wasn't responding well. Give me your questions and comments, I'm not afraid of criticism.
  13. I'm not too hurt I didn't make it, because I'm just a noob. I'll follow this carefully! Looks great, and good luck to everyone.
  14. One of the ads on the bottom bar just led me to this: link Target has it, regular price, and free shipping. Hope this helped some of you looking to pick this up.
  15. Looks nice! I like the looks, too bad the Freeco one is more flattering. Now that you remind me, that November Brickmaster should be coming soon! I'll try to get a review of the mini Gunship out as fast as possible when it comes.
  16. I picked it up back in August, even though I wanted other sets more, because I knew this was going to be discontinued. That is one decision I do not regret! Good luck for those of you who are scrambling to pick this up!
  17. What a gruesome and bloody MOC to get us in the spirit. :skull: The use of Anakin's head is great, as well as (I'm assuming) the Bionicle spider thingies. I also love the creepy angle on the tree. Great work, and happy birthday to your sister! (You may consider doing more resizing to your images.)
  18. I've been following Mystical Castle and learned how these games work. I know I'm a noob but I'd like to give this a try. I just finished a very busy phase, so I should have time for this! Sign me up!
  19. King Kahuka's Throne. A lovely set with plenty of minifigs and accesories that captured the theme's feeling well. I was fortunate enough to pick it up locally MISB for $35.
  20. Please do a quick before you post something like this. It's been posted one or two times already, and got a Frontpage a few weeks ago. On another note, I'm always amazed by this creation, so thanks for giving me an excuse to see it again.
  21. Excellent news, thanks for update legomilk! I must admit, when I plan on what sets I'll buy next year, I feel quite ridiculous. However, this sounds like a must have. I'm already one behind on these Modulars, and with the Imperial Flagship, and my plans to build buy a Death Star, my wallet will never be the same! This is definitely good news, but I must admit, I'm a little disappointed with the description. I was really hoping for a school, office, or library, but I guess a shopping center would be fine. I'm not sure about the color scheme, but only pictures could really tell. I would love to see a new shade of yellow (light? School Bus?) that could benefit MOCers greatly. Only time will tell, but I'm looking forward to this.
  22. I didn't mean to brag too much but it did pass as my final review deeming me worthy of the rank of Academy teacher. Also, people commented that I pointed details that dunamis' original review didn't include, like the hidden door. Oh, and thank you.
  23. If you're having second thoughts, read my review of it (link in my signature). I feel that it's the most complete review available, and at a high quality too. For me, I built most of the first floor in half an hour, and finished the rest in one evening. So in total, it took me about 4-5 hours. Hope this helped.
  24. If you've read a topic and go to "Active Topics", everything is marked unread. If you go to "New Posts" everything is marked unread. Unless you stick to one and keep refreshing, these will always reset every session. Hope this helped. EDIT: Yay! 300th post!
  25. I've followed the game the whole time, and I am very impressed! The architecture and details of the castle were amazing, and the actual game had lots of nice twists. I may try to play the next one, but I'll probably fail being a noob. Awesome job, guys.
