  1. Great MOC! You've only got two more to go, and I eagerly await them. Poor Dawes!
  2. Hooray! I actually win something! There was some incredible competition in all the categories, so I'm happy just to get 2nd in one. Thanks to everyone who voted for me, many thanks to Svelte for hosting, and congrats all the other winners!
  3. Sorry! I've had one heck of a week myself, and I never quite had the time to carefully look through the entries. There were so many great ones that it would have taken a while to decide! Well, at least I have time to see the movie this weekend!
  4. Good game everyone! 'Tis a shame that it crumbled a bit towards the end, but nonetheless a satisfying and bloody conclusion. Rick was right the whole time about my role- I was the first Sane investigator. I'm still amazed that the insanes managed to nab me on night one. In my opinion, it wasn't a good idea to make the Air Marshal the investigator. Isn't that too conspicuous? I don't think that was the only reason. On day one, logic led me to accuse Drake. I honestly didn't think he scum, but he actually was. I painted a target on my back as a logical person who was already determining insanes on day one, and apparently that was enough to prompt the insanes to kill me. There's always another time, but the moral of my story is: correct logic at the incorrect time isn't logical.
  5. My vote goes to: "Ostrich-Riding Guard --> 1million Giant-Mutated Parrot --> 10million Bikini-Wearing Hot Wife --> Priceless" -lisgr There were a dozen or so entries I really liked, but I only could pick one. Honorable mention to: -"With lack of material for Prince of Persia 3, Disney began to wonder if basing movie series off of video games and amusement park rides was such a good idea." -JimButcher -"Ancient Tobacco Ads Remember kids, when you smoke Hookah, you get the: Best. Trips. Ever." -Emperor Claudius Rome -"How do you like my MOCing bird?"-Duke -"It was clear that Tamina's friends had completely misunderstood B.Y.O.B. on the party invites." -pedro Awesome job everyone!
  6. Are you sure? Nice bag build. Lego seems to be numbering bags more and more, and you found a great set to bag build. That happened to me too!
  7. As it's been said, Lego has produced pretty much all the different components you've mentioned, only for other sports. Soccer had the individual stadium components, and Basketball had official player packs. Soccer even had different teams that came with a differently colored bus for each. I just don't think Baseball has the potential. Soccer is much more of an internationally-recognized sport, and was very fun to play the Lego version. Basketball was more of a stretch, and gameplay wasn't very realistic. I don't think Lego would try Baseball after a fail like Basketball, especially when a realistic, functioning baseball game would be nearly impossible to create. I really don't think UCS stadiums would sell very well either. There is a chance that there may be a baseball minifig in future Collectable Minifig Series, but I'm sorry to say, I don't think we're ever going to see a fully-fledge baseball theme. Oh, and go A's!
  8. I agree! It's getting insanely intense around here. Too bad the sanes lost their winning streak. They were doing so well.
  9. Very innovative and hilarious! Just goes to show that you don't need massive fortresses and vehicles to create a satisfactory MOC.
  10. Thanks for this nice review, Brickster! I love the incredible amount of resource pics you've added- it really helps me judge the set in terms of accuracy! I was into studios, but not Jurassic Park at the time these sets were released. I quite like the tree and the plane, but I agree that the camera and cameraman aren't needed. $35 was definitely steep for a set this size, but I'm happy for you that you found it at such a bargain! Once again, thanks for the review. If you have other sets from Jurassic Park, I've always been curious to see them in more detail.
  11. Happy Birthday, Pi! I hope you enjoy your special day. Sounds like a good loot already! I've never been to Red Lobster (since I think lobsters are too cute and expensive to eat) but I hope you have a nice time!
  12. I had an alliance with def, and the thought that he was Nizam crossed my mind on a few occasions. I thought I could trust him, especially when he tried to pull Lord Arjay, someone I strongly trusted, into the alliance. Alas, we were both dead the next day. Thanks for hosting such a short and fantastic Mafia Game, Vizier Shadir! I think this will go down in history as one of the most epic bloodbath games ever.
  13. I thought it ended in ten minutes or so. Since I'm a bumbling baboon, does 12:00 midnight mean the start of the day, or the end? EDIT: Yeah, I'm a bumbling baboon. It probably won't make a difference to me, but I might be able to scrap together a Persian Version entry. Thanks for clearing that up, Svelte.
  14. Thanks! I based the wall design off of the one in the Death Star. I thought that the same technique could be applied to an Indiana Jones-style collapsing room, and I tried it out. The chain feature took a lot of experimenting to get right. I had originally tried to make the cog sideways, but I suddenly got the idea to have it vertical. In my original design of the set, the torches were supposed to be a chandelier that Seso dropped so Dastan could climb out the pit. However, there wasn't realistically enough room for a large chandelier to fit through the hole, so I gave it a more sinister purpose- burning victims!
  15. I've posted my Category 1 entry. I'm happy with how it turned out, especially the collapsing spike pit. Next time I won't procrastinate so much. I look forward to the final entries (if they are any more)!
  16. Skull Palace Escape Suhrab Palace… a place of incredible wealth, knowledge, and danger. After being captured by a wandering Hassansin, Dastan must face the notorious Vizier Azad and his array of deadly traps. Will Dastan be able to escape with a few treasures and his life, or will the brave Prince finally meet his spiky demise? -Includes 5 minifigures: Dastan, Hassansin, 2 Palace Guards, and Vizier Azad -Features skull design on outside of palace -Pull the pin in the skull’s teeth to drop the trapdoor and compress the walls simultaneously -Spin the top of the dome to drop torches into the pit -Pit features compressing spike walls and secret exit flap -Includes Book of Souls, jewels, fruit, skeleton, spider, and more! -Relieve the exciting opening scene from Prince of Persia: Book of Souls The vizier has a deadly trap set-up! First he drops his victims into a secret room, shaking them up. Then walls with spikes stab the victim. Finally, torches drop from the ceiling, burning the victim alive, and cleaning up the mess for next time. In order to fully appreciate the playability design that went into this set, please watch my functions video . You can find more pictures in my Flickr gallery.
  17. I have a funny feeling that you're right, for at least def. I think he double-crossed me too.
  18. I would have hoped for an entertaining, more specific death, but alas, your scribes must be tired, Mr. Vizier. Ahh well, I had a fun time, and I hope the rest of you can weed out those pesky Nizam before it's too late!
  19. If you have two brick separators this is no problem. See those two studs on the top? Place the two plates on that, attach a second separator on the top and bingo! Separated! (Source: Jamie's video on the Creator website about brick separators) As a classical guitarist, my nails are plenty long, but have a risk of breaking too. I broke at least three on one hand taking apart a Statue of Liberty Sculpture.
  20. Grrr! We really suck at this whole Nizam-killing thing, don't we? We might have better chances with two kills each, so let's make use of our ability! I have no real evidence, but this whole game seems to be about suspicion, anyways.
  21. Awesome review, Clone O'Patra! I had always worshipped the set as astounding, without ever questioning how good it actually was. Thanks for showing it in such great detail, there are lots of details I knew nothing about. In the end, I probably like the set less than I did before, but I still love the front view and the iconic design. Thanks for putting so much effort into this, the result is spectacular! Japanese Pegasus FTW!
  22. I'm not sure what to say to that. There's the possibility that we both tried to kill him: I sincerely hope that's the case, because otherwise, once of us is Nizam and I know it's not me.
  23. I admit that I killed Burman. I'm ashamed I was wrong, but his remarks were short and confusing. I thought he was trying to post just enough to escape suspicion, and made posts the way he did. If Burman's spirit is listening, I'm sorry I was wrong, it was nothing personal. This comment in particular really made me suspicious. It says nothing, and seems to made simply for the sake of posting. You can choose to believe me or you can choose not to. I know it's suspicious to step up and claim my place as a killer, especially when that killer is presumed to be non-Nizam. However, I really hope you can trust me now, or else you'll suffer the guilt of knowing I was right after you kill me.
  24. In what sense? Nice conclusion, you sanes were doing so well!
  25. The ever elusive Nizam escape us! Last night was pretty rough, and fruitless too. At this point we can analyze everything to our heart's content, but I have a feeling more than half of us are eager to kill regardless of any "evidence" brought up. Let's just get over this wave of shock, and get ready for the next one.
