  1. However, once they're out, they're not going to come back in. So although voting out an innocent won't get them killed, it does offset our numbers. With less of us innocents in the castle, it's easier for the Hallowed to get a majority vote. I suspect that your first statement is right. But if your second statement is correct, then that means all Slytherin are innocent, because they wouldn't want revenge on themselves, would they? And how would attacking students from other houses even help that? No; I think your second statement must be false. I remember a man named Matthew Right (in a book called Prohibition I believe) who started accusing everyone just to get reactions out of them. Although he was innocent, people became suspicious and voted him out. I think that people are too shocked and timid to accuse so soon, so unfortunately I don't think many are willing to follow your footsteps. If we can figure out what these demons want, it might be easier to determine who they might be. Even if we don't vote someone out today and our investigator doesn't reveal themself tomorrow, the way the Hallowed interact with others during the night could reveal their intentions.
  2. Likewise, +1 to Dunjohn! Thank you so much for helping complete my Series 1 collection!
  3. I highly doubt that a teacher of defense would ever go without his wand! However, I do think it possible that he was caught of guard and didn't have it in his hand. Very true! I thought that the curse would have been removed when He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was defeated by Mr. Potter. Apparently, it hasn't! Hmmm... interesting. I think you might be on to something! Can anyone confirm the houses of the students? Headmistress McGonagall?
  4. $50 is a steal! I'm much more certain I'm getting this now. Thanks for the heads up, grogall!
  5. I just realized something that completely blew my mind. In the episode "Duchess of Mandalore", when Obi-Wan and the Duchess are walking in the big "park", you can see a hooded Onocanda and Lolo walk past, which is later brought up the next episode. I'm extremely sorry if this has been mentioned before, but if it hadn't, I thought you might this interesting!
  6. Sure, thanks! I didn't realize these things don't process instantly, so I posted twice, thinking it was the emoticon's fault.

  7. Hmm. Perhaps it sticks out because it's made of shiny PaB parts, unlike the rest of the MOC? It's definitely there during the duel, but a little farther back and down. Like many people in the contest, I've had to cramp it a little to get it in there. Thanks for the comment though!
  8. This is terrible! Capturing a teacher is quite bad, but attacking students as well is plain heartless! We must keep in mind the cruelty of these beasts as we prepare to defend ourselves. As it's been stated, we must shed our house boundaries to work against these foes. Only then will we prevail!
  9. Absolutely beautiful! I rarely browse the Technic forum, but I was blown away when I saw this! There's so much superb detail. I personally like the first one a lot.
  10. Congrats on the dukedom!

  11. I know this has been brought up before. If I recall correctly, it had something to do with avoiding confusion. If everybody could change titles, people would lose track of which threads they posted in or where information/pictures could be found. In other words, it would be utter chaos. PMing a Mod is the best way to get a title fixed, but keep in mind that the Mods have lives outside the website, and may take a little time to get to your request. I hope this helped.
  12. Thanks! I chose the subject due to the fairly easy architecture and color scheme. I wanted to make sure I wouldn't run out a color, and I had enough gray, red, and yellow. Thanks! I did a lot of research on this when I was drawing plans. I found this picture to be very useful The duel skips around a bit, so I had to draw a mental map of their battle path. Thanks. I wouldn't say it's that much better than my small- they're two completely different scenes. I would agree that this one is more impressive, but I'm equally proud of my other entry. I'd also like to say thanks to those of you who commented but I didn't address specifically.
  13. I'm not much of a procrastinator, but in this case I was. I started researching and planning this MOC a week ago, and was delayed by a vacation. I started the actual construction Sunday morning, and finished Tuesday afternoon. Considering the tight deadline, I'm extremely satisfied with my work. I don't build MOCs this big too often, and I impressed myself. Regardless of whether I win or not, I'll still be glad just to have this diorama. So without any further ado, I present... A "Piping" Hot Duel! Scene: Above the churning lava on Mustafar, two great heroes clash in arguably the most epic lightsaber duel in all of Star Wars. Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker rage through the hallways of the element-harvesting facilities, and across a balcony. In a gut-wrenching moment, Anakin forces Obi-Wan backwards across a narrow pipe, with molten lava falling, churning, and splashing around them. Overview: In this less movie-accurate view, you can see the contents of the entire display. The main parts are the end of the building, the pipe, and the lava falls. Each can be detached easily, and were built separately and then integrated. If you're wondering about the roof, I simply didn't have the pieces available to build one. Low-Angle: From this low-angle view, you can see some of my favorite parts: the detailing at the building's base, the lava splashing, and the cute little Mustafar panning droid. Pipe: Here, Obi-Wan precariously balances on the pipe, while slowing inching backwards. Top: Here you can see things from Obi-Wan's perspective. The lava down below would be a terrible end for such a great Jedi! The edge of the building and the top of the lava fall extend beyond the base, but the lava portion of the base is slightly smaller than 32 x 32 to account for this. However, the end of the pipe does extend a few studs beyond due to the lengths of the pieces. To see the scene in the movie, start at 1:07 of this video. More pictures can be found here when I add them. As always, best of luck to my competitors, and thank you for looking! -Inconspicuous
  14. Since I'm time-zone challenged, can you remind us exactly how much time we have left? (In the last few contests I was up to 24 hours off!)
  15. Valerie MacArthur signing in for another year of learning, magic, and fun! (And maybe some lynching. )
  16. Well, I've specifically asked and Siegfried said it was okay, so it looks like one of the "case-by-case" examples. It doesn't take up too much vertical space, which could be part of the reason why it's okay.
  17. Well, this isn't exactly my own introduction topic. I mainly have Pirates, Star Wars, and Harry Potter sets, but also smaller themes like Prince of Persia and Alpha Team. I mainly build Star Wars and Lord of Rings MOCs. The Town forum is a well-run and interesting place. I'm sure you'll fit right in. Good luck with your project, and I hope to see some of your work.
  18. I believe it's actually required. Unless you want your good entry to be disqualified, deeplink one or a few of your images. As for the MOC itself, it's nicely constructed. I like the snow effects. However, I don't think the scene is that epic, which is the problem with EU and video game MOCs. Otherwise, nice work.
  19. Welcome to Eurobricks, Morgan! It's always great to have another builder among our ranks. I'm sure you'll enjoy browsing and discussing in these forums, and I hope you decide to share your own work too when you get a break from your busy schedule. What themes do you like/build? Inky
  20. (my next guitar duet!)
  21. I've got a sealed Zombie, Tribal Hunter, Ninja, Robot, and Caveman. I'm looking for a Cowboy, Forestman, Wrestler, Clown, and Magician. I can ship anywhere internationally, but I'd really prefer to deal within the US. Please let me know if you're interested in doing business- I'd really like to get a complete set! EDIT: Taken!
  22. It's an honor to be selected for your game, Sandy! Thanks so much! I eagerly await the start of this game.
  23. Well, I succeeded in grabbing 14 packs at a Borders in Austin, Texas while on vacation. I had to buy them for $3 each, but I got all the "good" stuff (2 zombies, 1 cheerleader, 1 nurse). I think I can trade my doubles, and only have to buy two figs to get a complete set. While at one Borders, they told me something interesting. They said they they didn't know where to put the minifigs, so they kept them in the back. They thought that 4 year-olds would rip open the packets, and out of confusion, they kept them hidden. When the decided to put them out front, someone bought them all. I encourage you to inquire a bit further at Borders, because just 'cause it's not out doesn't mean they don't have it.
  24. Although I personally like my own signature, I can see why people would might find it too large. I like to advertise all my reviews, and the list keeps on getting larger. Does anyone have a problem with my signature? Is several lines of text and one of images a problem?
  25. I've played 2 main instruments in my life: classical guitar and tenor sax. I stopped sax after 5 years because I couldn't fit it into my high school schedule. I've played classical guitar for a few months shy of 10 years. I like solos, but I also am learning several duets with a friend and play in a small ensemble of 8 or 9. My music has taken me to fantastic places like Turin, Italy, Los Angeles, and tomorrow, Austin, Texas. My ensemble was one of two groups selected nationally to play at a youth showcase concert at the Guitar Foundation of America's convention in Austin. My music has been a great way to relax, travel, and meet new people. I hope to keep playing in the future. (I have the funniest feeling we have a topic similar to this.)
