I agree, and I've always thought that the flaws in the story were caused by the sets - when Greg has to shoehorn all these things in along with the story that he wants - like the embarrassing plot device that is why Hydraxon is alive- it doesn't work. But when the sets are good [like this spring, or '04 when Greg was new at this] the story seems good. The serials seem a good answer to this [no having to shove in two more Matoran this summer, they have a serial]. But if the end of the year and 09 match the hyperbole, then I'll be happy. Did anyone else here notice the Indiana Jones music at the end, right when Mata Nui was introduced? And Europe, too. Last things I had expected for Bionicle, with their last real-world music campaign [read - idiotic All American Rejects], I was expecting the Scissor Sisters. And another thought - I'm full of them, if you ever need an Aztec zombie movie, for example - does the way the end was posed 'go back in time', when Greg says flashback stories are bad, and that glowing from the island Mata Nui, and the fact that man-Mata Nui was surrounded by clouds, make you think Mata Nui's up on Mata Nui?

I agree with visorak-kal. But apparantly there's some sort of tizzy about a spoiler video being released [on another site] on BZP, anyone found this video? What they're saying - Recently a video was released on another website that contained spoilers of the 2008 storyline. The movie was not supposed to be released yet and will soon be taken offline. That was me who mentioned aforementioned '01-'06 link. I said the 'similar feel' [which I feel was a bit of a lie on his part - he's said '06 is supposed to be dark, whereas '01 always struck me as kind of innocent and mythological] was trees. And how I would have designed Miserix - I don't like the whole idea that All Makuta Have Rejected Goodness. Why would Miserix do so if it gets him nowhere? What I imagined him as was more of a benevolent makuta than the others. He'd be humanoid, but with extra arms just in case. And no weapons. Maybe the extra arms would be more like bludgeons, but not the frakking Staff Of Repetitiveness [every year, bar '02, '04, and '07, has had at least one staff-wielding character.]. And NOT Mata Red. Iron and brown [iron for metal and brown to stick it to LEGO], and maybe lime for contrast. And some nice wings. Not Godzilla and Saphira's love child.

OH GOD!!!! What...is that? Red Saphira with a stick? Now, I would have picked iron or brown. Most people would have used a dark color. Maybe that would have made Godzilla here stand out. But...I would at least have given him a mask. Now GregF is forced to give him a lame mask power [i would have been much happier with a Mask of Intangibility in plastic then a Mask of Silence, they can already do that] instead of something useful [golly, aren't the Calix, mask of Probability and mask of Possibilities the exact same thing?]. Disgusting. And it resembles the Tahtorak a lot. Dumb. Again, I know a bearlizard thing straight out of bad fantasy is somewhat original - but so would be introducing the fact that, for once, a character has sexuality - remember Nuhrii, who's old news? He's gay. [sorry, forgot, JK Rowling just did that a while back]. We all had in our heads a dark colored, possibly winged, most likely metallic-highlited fellow, or maybe something closer to MoD's Evil Tahu - looking more like the first appearance of Makuta. I will give you a cookie if you like this model. Here's an idea - When making a contest whose results affect something someone cares about, DO NOT USE OVERPRIVELEGED AMERICAN KIDS [and as a rule of thumb - not a 12-year old], USE PEOPLE WHO CAN BUILD. I'm sure we'd all be happy if this was a BZP contest, for all its rules and bonesiii, at least it's members know what to build. I like that combo model though, it rocks. Crappy name though. EDIT - Here's an idea, switch'em around. Give the crappy model the crappy name, and make the halfway decent thing Miserix.

I wish, they'll still all have the exact same Inika build, the masks will still be sub-par compared to '01, and you know that no matter how good the spring line-up is, they'll ruin it come summer. Case study - this year.

Cybermen statues lining the garden, a TARDIS fountain, and in my kitchen I have a TARDIS roundel lazy susan. Not to mention my bathroom is decorated so that my toilet becomes the Eye of Harmony from the TV movie. And my closet is the TARDIS wardrobe. I will drive the Whomobile. And at my job at Industrial Electromatics, I will wear a rainbow suit and be the laughingstock of my inferiors. Oh, and this thing Just Cybermen, nothing much.

Never know the difference until someone smart intervenes and stops it. Now replace 'dupe accounts' with 'clone bricks' and any member name like 'GregF' or 'Outpost Gallifrey Moderators' with a Lego theme name, like 'Exo-Force', or 'Castle'.
