Hey everyone, I'm not going to give you one of those danged long blah-de-blahs about whatever. It's a catapult very closely resembling the one from Knights Catapult Defense. And I brought pictures. Ta-Da! It's destructive. Yet fairly detailed. Check it out! It can even fling this guy. And one day it will be public, then check out this gallery.

I, personally, think that when they announce an animator for the 09 movie, it should be Templar. Who didn't like those MNOG and 01 animations?

Dang. Now we'll never get brown back.

Great design on the Inika? I will admit, the parts themselves looked very nice. But how they were put together, being bone-thin stick figures with odd proportions and overlarge weapons aren't good design. And have you ever tried shooting the Cordak? Or look at it this way- You are Hewkii Mahri, with upper arms the width of your mouth, and one forearm is almost as long as your legs, and the other one almost the same length but as thick as your Hey Arnold-ish head. First imagine what people will think of you, then imagine carrying a faulty cannon the width of and thicker than your torso in one hand. And, since there's no gearbox, imagine how ridiculously thin you will look in profile, about half as thick as your faulty gun. And you have live rockets strapped to your shoulders. Thank any higher being of your choice that you didn't call Pohatu shitty, but just yuck. But still.... Blasphemy!

Walter. I think it describes itself, right?

Now, I don't mean to stick my head into this thread [but I am anyway], but could someone please tell me where the gravitas is? When I see a large thread involving silliness, Sanitation, and tombs, I expect gravitas. Quite frankly though, I expect everything to have gravitas. So I ask again... ...Where is the gravitas?
-
Blasphemy! You've ruined the entire idea! It's clearly a Shadow Matoran transformed by the Ignika into a flying gun! Blue=bad! Where is the gravitas now? But it looks nice.

The 10 reasons you know you are a true lego fan

Hurray! More Doctors! I can't really comment on the accuracy, but they look nice. Are we gonna see any Venusian aikido, recorder playing, or reversing of the neutron flow? And the Brig! Even better! And if you can't do Mister Safety Scissors and Glitter, here are a few more suggestions- The Eighth Doctor Jack The Jacobi Master Sec-man Jackie Pete and Jack! Do the Time Agent!
-
Squee! Companions! I like Sarah Jane, but I think Rose could use a different torso. That one seems too...formal for her. Are you going to do Eccleston's Doctor? Jack? Jackie? Mickey? Do Mickey!

I liked how the clip tile didn't really taper off. The best piece for it would be a clip stud though, if that piece exists.
-
I used a 1x1 brick with studs on the sides for the head, to cover all sides of it [and the fact that that brick was tan], and then lower down I used a 1x1 brick with studs on only two of the sides to hold on thew side parts, and then finally a headlight brick for the front and back parts. I could get a cross-section pic up if you wanted.

What??? I always thought the show was based on the Lego sets. You've turned my world upside down. I don't mean to stick my nose into this [but I will anyway], I call is nown. New brOWN. I'm a castle fan generally now, but for me, their worst decision was the Mahri and removing gear functions. Gear functions made them something other than Lego action figures- wait, that was effectively Galidor, right? And the Mahri [and Barraki somewhat] were poorly designed stickmen with no sense of continuity and seemed rather stupid. Why would you strap multiple rockets to your shoulders, or a vampiric squid to your thigh?
-
Oh definitely the Metru. Sure they were rather cloney, but they had a great design [don't say the legs are standard and dull, because they were the first of their kind], gear functions, and overall awesomeness. Plus, they had almost no focus on launchers. Only Vakama had one. Or if not them, the Voyatoran. Super original and great parts.

Ooh, those are some nice figs. I really like the choice of hairpiece. Are you going to do any companions or past Doctors? And I've built some Doctor Who stuff myself like this Dalek Emperor and the TARDIS console. I also built a Dalek a while back which you can see here.
-
Sorry, but the only old Doctor Who I've watched was the 5/6 regeneration scene. I like all the compliments, but does anyone have some criticism for me?
-
Oh hee hee! Someone's very funny. Doctor Who premiered in 1966 on the BBC in England, starring William Hartnell as the First Doctor and Carole Ann Ford as his granddaughter, Susan Foreman. The series, until 1989, was aired as a serial of 2 to 5 or 6 episodes. The first serial was An Unearthly Child, followed by the second, The Daleks. Daleks remain to this day a central villainous force in both Doctor Who and British pop culture, having made another 21 appearances throughout the series, 7 having been in the show's current run. R2-D2, however, is a good guy from Star Wars which came out in 1977, or 11 years later.

Oooh, that is nice. I like how it's kinda squat but looks powerful too. Think you'll ever do another?

Wow wow wow. Astuanax has some skills, I must say. I love all the detail, and how he managed to cram all the book's stuff into it. I like it.

Hi, I like Doctor Who and Lego [and stating the obvious :)], so I've built some Doctor Who stuff. I'll update this topic whenever I've made something new and Who-related. Here's what I've got - Dalek Emperor TARDIS Console A Dalek Sontarans Davros My Flickr And my Brickshelf [has a lot more pictures than my Flickr, but probably won't be updated as much] Enjoy!

Doctor Who. I've already got some ideas. Series One- $9.99 Autons in the Shop The plastic-people Autons have invaded the shop! Includes Rose, the Ninth Doctor, an Auton, a wall and floor, and some boxes disguising a small catapult used to hurl the bomb [probably a printed piece]. $12.99 The TARDIS Includes The Doctor, The TARDIS exterior [brick-built and not <insert that tiresome argument>], and an 8x8 TARDIS console and space to stand figs. $29.99 Missiles on Downing Street Includes 10 Downing Street [a full building, inside is the cabinet room and hallway adjacent], The Doctor, Rose, Harriet Jones, Margaret Blaine, and a Slitheen [like the trolls from HP and Castle, but more posable] $49.99 The Blitz Includes Albion Hospital [probably a facade with hall and the Child's room on two floors], the crash site [fences, a little landscape to place the Chula ambulance, watch tower that acts as catapult to put it there] and Jack's spaceship. Includes The Doctor, Rose, Captain Jack, the Child, and a British soldier. $69.99 The Dalek Mothership The Doctor is in against his greatest threat, but Rose and Jack are in danger? What will happen? Huge open-up Dalek ship, inside is a chamber, Dalek Emperor's chamber, a sort of atrium center with a spin around spot in the corner- this is where he will regenerate[spin around half has gold cheese slopes poking out around a minifig-shape. Includes 3 Daleks, Dalek Emperor [brick-built, gold], The Doctor, Rose, Jack, The Tenth Doctor. Series Two $9.99 The Girl in the Fireplace Includes the Doctor and Reinette. Also a plate with on one side the SS Madame de Pomadour, and of the otherside a 17th century French bedroom. $12.99 School Reunion Includes a school cafeteria with a longtable. There are two chairs, one is a modified one to become a flick-catapult that throws the Krillitane barrels. Includes The Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith, K9 [new head, hopefully brick-built body] and a Krillitane[minifig with new mold head, and 1x1 plates to make him taller]. $29.99 The Age of Steel Includes Battersea Power Plant [building, opens to reveal conversion facility]. Includes The Doctor, Rose, Pete and Jackie Tyler, Mickey, and 2 Cybermen [minifig with new helmet]. $49.99 Tooth And Claw Contains Torchwood House [big detailed house, lots of details, especially the telescope], Rose, the Doctor, Queen Victoria, the Werewolf, and Sir George. Tile saying Torchwood. And so on, I'll give more ideas if you want later.

It says they're made from acetate, rather than ABS?

Lego pieces you would love TLG to make
hewkii9 replied to LEGO Maniac JEM's topic in General LEGO Discussion
A fez. An actual flail. A sonic screwdriver [but not so specific it's useless, more like a modified lightsaber hilt]. A 1xwhatever tile with curved ends. Would anyone else like those? -
I'd enter this LoTR contest.
