  2. MAXIE! There is still hope!
  3. Well I suppose Maxie Zeus won't appear then.
  4. OMG MIRU! I am loving 2008 now more than any year since 2004.
  5. I third it. You'll be hard pressed to find a minifig head as nice as Gwen's, though...
  6. That is my favorite Jack of them all. Where'd you get the torso? Although I feel that Battle Droid Cybermen are a bit of a cop-out. And will you make a Colin Baker? All you need is him and a McCoy and you'd have a full line-up.
  7. Eeep! Clones! In the Castle Forum? Well, it looks nice. I like the fire, although I think the spears in the ground could be done differently.
  8. What, did you never go to the Bionicle section when someone found Inika pics? I think the line could certainly be considerably better [blue helmets? come on, too much Technic as well] but there's definitely worse. And Pirates is an evergreen theme, ie it should sell a lot. This looks to be another short Dino Attack Vikings line, the Advent calendars have never been the big-ticket selling items, and Focus Group Jimmy doesn't give a flying frak about purple, purple doesn't shoot things. It's all about maximizing profit and cheesing off the AFOL while keeping their business. Think of these recent developments as Lego's version of introducing Jar Jar.
  9. Why fire? Does he have jet engines that he needs to power? If so, let's hope there's a Toa of renewable oil that whose power he could also call upon.
  10. Assassin's Creed. First year - Modular Damascus - Buildings [all $9.99]- xxx0-1 A building and stretch of street with a market stall. Includes 2 citizen minifigs. xxx0-2 Corner building. 2 Citizens and a bench. xxx0-3 Alleyway building. Two small buildings designed to click with either -1 or -2. Includes 1 thug and 1 crazie minifig. xxx0-4 Jubair's Bookburning. A small garden, with Jubair, a guard, and a civilian. Walls on 3 sides and an opening to the street on the other. Assassin's Bureau [15.99]- The Assassin's bureau building. Includes Altair and bureau leader. Wall Segments [all 15.99- xxx2-1 Straight section. Includes wall, 1 guard, and small building against wall. xxx2-2 Curved section. Wall with an about 45* angle, includes 1 guard and little well built into wall. Souk [all 20.99]- xxx3-1 Straight souk section. Includes 1 guard, 2 civilians, and a market stall. xxx2-3 Intersection. Has openings to attach to other souk sections on all sides, includes 3 civilians. Assassination of Tamir [25.99]- Large open souk section. Includes 4 attach points to other souk sets, Tamir, Altair, and 2 civilians and a guard. Assassin's Creed Damascus Expansion Pack [25.99]- A supplementary set, sort of a battle pack. But obviously bigger. Includes parts for two view points to add to buildings, two hay carts, a preacher's platform, Altair, preacher, guard, and thug. Death to Nuquod [50.99]- Abu'l Nuquod's castle. Includes castle, Abu'l, two archers, scaredy civilian, and Altair. And, as some sort of exclusive set... Great Mosque [75.99]- The Great Mosque in Damascus. Includes Altair, two preachers, three civilians, and some sort of exclusive thing - I'm thinking a golded-out guard captain. I'd get into years two and three - Jerusalem and Acre, respectively [i prefer Acre, and it's got bigger things, so I'm theoretically saving the best for last] but I'm too tired.
  11. Well with these, no purple, and no NA Castle Advent Calendar, screw the fanboy seems to be the new trend at Lego.
  12. It fits right it with other books - introduces Thrawn, C'baoth, forshadows the Yuuzhan Vong a bit--but I doubt it fits in with the movies - it's set 5 years after Phantom Menace and there's probably something going on with Jar Jar that George Lucas'd rather take precedence, and a fair portion of it has Anakin and Obi-Wan on Outbound Flight - they leave before the end, though.
  13. Fingers crossed the parts'll be available on PAB.
  14. I'd also recommend a long brown rod and brown cone piece for Gandalf's staff. They look nice. Oh! here's another idea - find some way to attack the sword to Aragorn's waist, paint it black except for the handle, cut the pistons off, and you have Narsil in its scabbard!
  15. Fingers crossed he has the Irish voice.
  16. Well I'm disappointed. First purple, and now this? I sincerely hope Lego will go back on this decision.
  17. I much prefer the Zahn books to the prequels - especially Outbound Flight. Ooh that sounds good, I wished there was at least one scene in RoTS where Vader gets to go on a rampage.
  18. So what's this guy's business plan? Bother AFOLs with all his color-changing power, or drab up the palate? I don't own much purple [just from Dark Panther], but it's as sturdy a color as any other [except lime green, that bad batch must've been two year's worth or something]. Nothing will change his mind, because he's an idiot. Ecto's right. Get this Megablocker out of here.
  19. I'm actually feeling the old-school feeling again because of Bionicle.com now. Sure, we've still got heaps of explaining of things, the technobabble from Agents and Mars Mission seems like its trickling into the big vehicles [X-9 Blaster, tri-arm, potato, potahtoe], and more silly names and Makuta than you can shake a stick at ['not based on anything' Miserix, Felnas, anyone?], but the website is making me feel the mystery again. The little story recaps remind me of Takua's reports whenever a new Bohrok animation came out, and the placeholderish images are really good [the Codrex, Ignika on his board, that iconic Mata Nui surrounded by clouds, and then desert] really work. I think the problem with the websites between '05 and '07 were that they were chock-full of crappy ads and 'games', but the site's got that mysterious feeling again. Even the videos are better. There's two of them up now, and only one has a stupid 'meet the crapika and shoot the laser-bears' voiceover- the other has that good epic feeling, and the Codrex opening in it reminds me of Mangaia.
  20. I lol'ed at the caption - 'do not post on BZPower'.
  21. Life-size contest? Build a Lego version of something and show it with the the original. Whack-A-Glatorian?
  22. Ooooh my, that's a lot of jumper plates... Very good. I like the river as well as the house. How did you stop the house from collapsing in on the Yeti cave, though?
  23. You're wishing for Ra's, good. Makes wishing easier for me. *throws penny down well* Maxie Zeus Maxie Maxie Maxie Zeus Maxie Zeus... EDIT: Just had a crazy idea. You know about the Lego Batman TV series that'll apparently happen, right? And how it'll be animated with the Lego Batman engine, right? Well, what if some of the maps they use for it are released as downloadable content?
  24. David Tennant for Riddler! "Riddle me this, Batman! What goes wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey and wears 'brainy specs'?" "That's right, one of my other roles! I'll let myself be arrested now." And Kristen Bell for Harley Quinn!
  25. Jungle? Not air?
