8421-b photo review
dougstar replied to dougstar's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
i did not include pictures of the stabilizers diploid here we go and some with the boom folding up the other thing that i felt was lacking was the fact that the super structure has to be rotated by hand would have been nice but there is the room for improvement -

Hey thanks Kisper Really good review ! I juz started technic a year ago and being a construction fan, my first was the 42009. Then I came to know that it had 2 previous precursors and when I wanted to get my hands on them, the prices didn't allow me to. So I'll juz have to settle for photos of them :) Quote 8421 was a bit expensive but I had to have it. I only have one issue with the set, the power cable did not connect very well to the battery box or motor. For the members that do have this set is it the same with yours or have I just got a faulty cable -
hello every body! i have recently acquired a used copy of the legendary 8421. For the people that dont know this set was released in 2005 and has 1884 pieces. I have decided to to the B model. if you want to see the review of the a model you can find it here (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=73768) posted by Lost_In_Noise First you need to build the truck for loss of a better word. Which is the same for the A or B models Here you can see the build options you have with this manual. To do the b model you turn to page 97. After 10 pages it looks like this So i have connected the turn table and the pneumatic cylinders After 10 or so more pages it looks like this I have added the pneumatic switch, two clutch gears one twenty tooth bevel gear. one twelve tooth bevel, two twenty tooth double bevel gears and one 24 tooth gear and the buggy motor Now the other half of the boom has been made. This part of the boom extends the basket out. To do that you need to add the 32 axle Five gear racks one twelve tooth bevel, two eight tooth gears, one twenty tooth gear and a worm gear Next you connect the two half`s together now that`s done last step is to add the basket All done in the next pic you can see what you are left with Here a a few pic of the completed model hey i can see for miles from up here! thank you for taking the time for my review. if i have left any thing out please comment dougstar

[HELP] 8110 Front Suspension
dougstar replied to flashtom's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
hello flashtom not exactly sure why its not centered. im going to take a guess that your shocks have not been put on both the same way. check in book two were the shocks attach to the front of the chassis page 71 step 97. hope this helps, it may help with a few more pics doug -
I also have both set 42000 is huge model. Wheels and tires are also great. Nathaniel made instructions for 42000c steet rod which is a fantastic moc, so 42000 is a good option. 42029 has just been released so I would get 42000 first.
