Aye. I spy with my little eye a female mammoth from one of the trailers, though of course, the majority of the trailers was about the little "squirrat" or what you like to call him, doesnt he have a name? I think I saw it somewere...

Sad ending? Whats that? No idea. Oversensitive? Yeah, I loved the first movie (though when someone expects a kiddy movie one does not expect small birds dying) so I'll automatically see the second one. The Rat/Squirrel is a modern classic among wierd characters, I heard that the movie would be mostly about him, but I dont think thats true.

Ah ok, misunderstanding :-) . I neither want to offend Russians or other former members, but lately people has gone aggressive against anyone having even the slightest socialistic idea as a communist, bloody annoying cold war all over again... Thats why I dont like being called former communist when we never even were that. I may sound unknowing now but I have payed immense amounts of nothing to this contest, is it today, or when is it? Next week? :-P

Thats about the most offending and incorrect thing Ive ever heard. NO country was a part of the Soviet, EVER! The russians took finnish ground, sure, but NO, we have NOTHING to do with ANY sort of communism! Bloody hell, we almost went to war with the russians at one point! Cant people see the difference between normal socialism and communism? Meh. We might give neighbor-votes to Finland, but Russia? Thats silly. I hope you wrote it wrong, else you did a BIG mistake. >:-(

Sultan's Tower MOC
The Hordesman replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Nice building, and the flag is also nice since its no real symbol! I would prefer having beardy faces for a sultan's guard, and I do think the pharoah-fashion was outdated when sultans came to power. ;-) And Phes, whats "arabian knights", or you meaning "Arabian nights", also known as "A thousand and one night"? There is no such thing as an "arabian knight". -
Great stuff! Really well made, is it from britain or? Noticed the right-sided car. ;-) *y*

Vladek= Vlad the Impaler (?) sound-a-like Karzon= No idea, probably randomized Dracus= He got a dragon as heraldric animal, pretty obvious were the name came from Ogel= Lego backwards Max the collector(1994 catalog baddie)= Max is a very common name for cartoon characters Brickster= Bricks+Gangster Baron von Barron= Just Lego employees having fun with words Lord Sinister= This guy needs no explanation Thats what I think...

Double Trebutchet? New Rocket Weapon? Seems like very good sets, though they will go to some more reinassance-ish factions like KK1 or classics, vikings will be fine with simpler machines, though I might consider the trebutchet for some firepower they need... The new dragon rocks, will probably make him the mount for the Black Monarch. The rocket thing also has its own little army, though Im sad they didnt came with lots of proper shields but the large ones instead. I hope we get facehelms (hornless) next year or later this year... Here's hoping.

"These are no ordinary orcs, these are Uruk-Hai!" *knight* Wow, its great. My only complaint is that I dont like the grilled helmet, while everything is very accurate to the movie, the grilled helmets are not. They fit perfect for a book version (they can just about look as any helmet) I would prefer a barbute (shadow knight) helmet instead for a movie version... But I believe this is something in-between. ;-) Still, it rocks, the water is really cool too! *sweet*

Megabloks has "megabloks" written in the middle, while Lego has it written on the studs, and there is no other company that has a such fine style as Lego as written on the studs of the red brick. A red brick is also the logo for Lego... 8-

"Its not that I like targeting someone with hatred, its just that humans need a target for hatred to work in a unity." I dont really get it, what is the brick doing there? Have Lego done something? Hute? I mean, taking the best bloody toy in the world and put it in a pic like that? Like Lego didnt have enough of problems! Now its "racist" for some reason too! >:-( Just felt this pic came in topical: I have idea what they were protesting against in the pic, but I cannot do anything else than agree with them!

50 happy years, hope Lego will live to see its 500's! Im actually very positive for the future, and since there are duplo and 4+ pirates, perhaps we will see system ones again soon? I really dont have much to add... Happy birthday to Lego! *sweet*

I dont think threads like these are allowed, and should be locked before hundreds of threats begin raining in! :-D (J/K) No seriously, thats one of the coolest things Ive ever heard! :) If only the shop employees were the same here... And they rebuild the shops all the time... :-(

Apparently, its available on the S@H but only for the US and Canada. I will take a look if its available in stores here, but dont get your hopes up- it may be an american only set. The review was great! Alot of detailed info and things like what the japanese letters said was very enlightening. *sweet*

It looks a little silly since they do kicks and punches against nothing, wouldnt it be better with having them actually fight something? Thats one of the reason I dont like to look at bionicle MOCs much, they never do anything else than pose around. Fight lads!
-
Seriously, you dont own a piece of "light stone"? Thats wierd, its on both the small newer KK2 shields and the octagonal ones... Or rather, its wierd it hasnt been discussed before, well, of what I know of. However, I dont like it at all- its hard to see its not white at first, but its a little grey-ish. I think it was a waste for Lego making a such a white like color on parts were light or dark grey (or bley) would fit better. They could've made sugarloaf helmets for those money wasted on an useless color that only appears on the last wanted place! >:-(
-
Ah, sorry. It was because you didnt quote I got a little confused. ;-) Some people may not appriciate it, but the system bionicle is actually a pretty cool idea- if it works as it should, that is. Together with the viking theme, its a pretty cool idea that these themes mix bionicle with system. It inspired me to make some of my MOCs, even though Im lacking in the bionicle area. From the beginning I was rather negative, but bionicle does serve as a good skeleton for mechas and other large humanoid creations. X-D Who knows? Due to these mix themes system may once again take over the world... *vader*

I just wrote that, just more into detail. :-P

I think not so- most countries has pretty much the same type and therefore it doesnt matter who wins. Infact, its pretty much the same song all of them every year. I prefer Japanese music, aye.

Its all about the censor, as usual. My Lego comic (The Sorceror's Return) is very bloody and contains swearings, but its still allowed. Why? I do not go overboard. For example, the worst swearing in the story is "bloody hell", which isnt even considered a real one (watch Harry Potter movies) and the gore has some limit- no guts fly around and stuff. Sure, one of the character is a transexual, but its okay since Im not giving him/her an offending way to act. My comic, for those who has not seen it (no comments here please, keep it to the subject): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=128350 What has been buggering me is how Brickshelf will react on a coming scene with censored nudity, But I'll keep it as clean as possible still. As long as you keep the humour at an 11+ advisory, swearings down to medieval ones (or Lego-ish ones like "brick" and "megablocks") and from being too gory, its okay. Of course- there are other sites out there too, like the one Mattias uses for his Starwars comic: http://www.pbase.com/mistermattias/lego

One officer, two troopers, one horse and one cannon. This is what the Imperial army is made of. Absolutely grand, if I found these in a store I would take everyone of them. One soldier more would be grand, but Lego has never made sets like that. A fantastic army builder, generic forces from one faction (meaning its good for those trying to build up the red imperials) and no "leader" types more than a lowly officer (I think its a corporal, these guys are very common) which gives it a value when massed. Love it!

Never been a fan, never will be. I havent actually heard a good winner in about, well, my entire lifetime. Abba 4 ever! X-D
-
My take on the subject: -Action figure building -Storyline(s) -Even if you are not an experienced builder, the result can still look good -Posing! Articulation... lots of it -Good character design most of the times Im still not a fan. :-P

Ive never seen Red Dwarf, but Ive heard alot about it. I think its one of the last things Lego would ever do, but I do encourage you to do Red Dwarf MOCs. ;-)
