A Refugee Party without me? No way!
The Hordesman replied to Scnicker's topic in Hello! My name is...
Welcome! Ive been here for a while and its good to see more CC people here... Though it would be better if the reason was different. ;-) -
Contrary to popular belief: I hope Sweden gets the last place. Seriously.

Do you think Exo-Force will last more than a year?
The Hordesman replied to vahkimetru's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
The first wave of imported sets were sold out in less than a week in all stores, only the airfighter was pretty untouched on the shelves. Mega-success. I agree, I want to see a pink mecha and female pilots! Pink mecha pieces + black pieces = Emperor's Children from Warhammer 40k... >:-) -
Yes, very blurry. Unable to identify some objects...
-
You think? Sounds like a demon to me. Great mech! Looks really heavy and well-armored. Excellent work!

Birthday be happy to ye, lad. *pirate*

Actually, the mismatched sails were a way for me to get rid of the sails lying around everywere. I will probably change the sails later on, but what colors- red or blue stripes? Or something else? I did however put them in a way so it wouldnt look stupid- the blue ones are at the same height and the red ones are at the same height. I'll fix it as soon as I build another ship. ;-) Indeed, the ship is bulky- but Ive allways loved bulky things for some reason- probably one thing Ive heired of my father who drew WW2 fighters that were sillified by being cramped & bulky in his comics.

Emperor's Ship Pic Review
The Hordesman replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
One of the most useful adventurers-sets around. Can be used for castle, pirates and, well, adventurers. With lots of these, one can build a chinese fleet and need no actual modifications on them. Amazing set, thanks for the review! -
Skipper! More searubbers ahoy! Welcum onboard sunny! Why do I feel that Eurobricks is turning into a haven for pirates, corsairs, privateers and buccaneers(and other salty men of the seven seas)? ;-)
-
I secon' dat, laddie! Sink thar land lubbery-spammers! Welcome, yarr & arr to you. *pirate*

Me too, though smaller (insidious traitorous collector alert!). Please do not use a capital letter in every word, please. PotC would probably turned into hideous Jack Stone or in the wierdest case, Duplo. Lego sure dont like minifig pirates these days.

Hello thar! I mentioned that I modified my Durmstrang ship to Mister Phes yesterday, and he wanted to see it. Figured out it was a good idea making a new thread for it, since I dont like hijacking threads. Yes, this is a late medieval ship, so no pirates or imperial soldiers(well, blue or red coats) onboard, sorry! *pirate* Under the command of the Dragonian Empire, this ship, carrying troops from both the empire and Rageesh fly the flags of the cockatrice- the heraldry of the empire! Not much done to the ship itself, I just changed some minor things (like a dragon's head in front, boomsticks, etc) and added some sails and fixed the masts. The guys in lorica armors (by Legofreak) are mercenary city guards of Rageesh, fantasy guys- no historical accuracy at all over them. This is most meant to show what one can do with the Durmstrang ship, or something. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/TheHorde...eeshwarship.jpg Gallery when moderated: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=182793 Avast ye mateys!

Quick Question about a Castle Part
The Hordesman replied to Starwars4J's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
A dark red version of the other type of domecap - the flarehelm, is going to be in two Avatar sets. No other red medieval domecap is known to come. -
Unfortunatly some bad people has in the past made up rumors like this- it is not that I believe you want to sound special or something, it is just that you should start a thread like this when you have the pictures up and running, or people wont believe it, just a tip for not getting in trouble. ;-) I can barely wait for the pics... *sweet*

Planing on building a Medieval Boat/ship.
The Hordesman replied to Cyclonis's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I should take a pic today, probably. Needs some modifications first... As said, It is a late medieval ship, a 1400's, so cannons were used. Cannons were actually used alot in the late middleages, replacing ballistas and catapults. Due to their small size, heavy damage and mobility they began being mass produced, and they were perfect for ships. -
Shouldve replied earlier... Aye, this are nice, too bad about the new style of skull though, I prefer the old SYSTEM skull & bones. Well, more Pastafarian clothing. :-P

Planing on building a Medieval Boat/ship.
The Hordesman replied to Cyclonis's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
When building ships, Im never satisfied with galleys since they looks boring, and cogs are... Uninteresting. Me like cannons! So therefore, most of the ships Ive built have been early Galleons, now these ships have an unique appearance: The back and front of the ship has a number of levels, and lots of holes for cannons. The middle looks rather flat in difference to the rest of the ship, and the ship is very cramped. Its a sort of cog, but looks more menacing... And tall, plus, theres tons of cannons for all your sailory joy. Never succeeded in creating an actual ship of this type, since it requires alot of cannons, men and something bigger than a little ship base. Most of my ships have been in the style though, even converted the Durmstrang ship into one. Aye matey, I love them beauties! -
What was the last movie you watched?
The Hordesman replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Ouch, that hurt my heart! The only reason I watch TV pretty much! 8-| You seem to hate the director, but you forget that a director and a script are two different things- a bad script in a good directors hands doesnt necessarily become good, while a good script (Lost) is good in a good director's hands. I must agree though, all other things except Lost has been crap. "Judge me by my script do you?" *yoda* Movie seen: Richard III (Ian McKellen version)- great remake of the Shakespeare play, set in a fascist england in the 30's. Lots of geographical "re-placing" but the whole "alternate universe" feeling is excellent. -
Adventurer Monsters
The Hordesman replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
1.Jun-Chi- most menacing and works perfect as an asian demon of some sort (no idea what though, definetly not Oni). Really cool. 2.Yeti- most useful, good for fantasy too. He doesnt look evil either, just... hairy. 3.Tygurah- the only one I got, I still wonder what to use it for. I like these additions to adventurers, especially the Yeti since it reminds me of Tintin. I read alot of Tintin as a kid so that was the first thing I thought of when adventurers got out. -

V for Vendetta. Grandeur, though I think the book is even better (better than good is nice!) *y* -
Not true. Infact, due to the slim shape, extreme speed (for its time) and the travelmania, the longships indeed got all the way over the atlantic sea. All viking ships were built in pretty much the same way, since it was a fantastic method to build ships. In storms, longboat survives very well. However, they were never meant for battles, mostly for transport of goods and men. But, not many people used large fleets in northern europe under their time, so they were pretty lucky.

SSND... FNG, so you know, its all SNAFU. Do some KP-work for us, will ye? If I continue like this, I will be KIA, I guess the big guy will make me ABN, then Im all FUBAR. :-P Im a DAT, I know. Eh. BTDT. Military shorts are fun. :-D

You missed asking for advices. ;-) Black suits, heads with black glasses and guns, lots of guns. Harder said than done infact. Please, do not create two threads about pretty much the same thing. This or the other one should be locked.

The Hordesman replied to Admiral Giddens's topic in LEGO Licensed
Nothing bad at all. Lots of pieces, and everyone loves lots of pieces. And hey, its Bob. It cant be be much better a set than this for being a Bob.
