  1. HP is perhaps a rather bad example, as it really doesnt matter how many girl figs there are in HP, since the characters can be related to and its not an all-boy movie series (Hermoine is a strong character), etc. But I do see your point. I think one thing would be to reintroduce Paradisa, but it didnt sell as well as Belville does. Paradisa was the final year put together with the city theme in a catalog, so I guess Lego had some intention to let girls and boys play, but I guess it didnt show the best results. One thing was to boys and girls the same toys and no real "girl" or "boy" Lego set, or is it just my paradisial (oh my, unintended pun!) that are crying out? :-D
  2. I should have said this earlier but here it goes... Welcome! Nice to see another face that isnt one of them reoccuring spammers.
  3. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=1620076 *Sings "Oh happy day"* Oh, and thanks to Tilius for the pic. ;-) About a golden helmet- yes, I would like to see one, but of what I know, there doesnt seem to be any. We are getting a dark green, dark red and red motorcycle/base helmet, it seems.
  4. Battle of the Pass comes with some, I think one or two. Its obvious from the Toyfair pics.
  5. I have to agree with Norro, they armies are too close to eachother.. Also, many minifigs lack headgear or hair. Its not like its skinhead wars. Still, a good idea. Some of the torso choices for Confederates are well chosen. I see why its WIP though. ;-)
  6. Congratz! Well, uhm... Congratz! X-D
  7. Probably, but perhaps all the people who got there first before anywere else too. I spent 2 hours trying to understand it, I gave up- to me it is as visually outdated a thing can possibly be. I agree, these MOCs rock- but one must spend a fortune to make them, or simply be a genius... Or both. X-D
  8. Hehe, nice one. Though, its bad that you actually gave it a colorscheme and a kind-of cool looking pilot... I thought spammers had crazy colors and looked stupid. Sorry, but it looks too good for a spamcraft. ;-)
  9. This guy shouldnt even get a chance in the chamber. He is a pureblood spammer, they never change.
  10. Durmstrang Ship and Hungarian Horntail set. ...And a little Megabloks set. :-$
  11. Don't call me wierd now, but Ive only heard of it, never seen it. Its in Canal 5, a channel I cant get. :-(
  12. You see? Everyone says cookies are food here, thats what Ive been saying to my dentist be she wont listen! |-/ Are the cookies any good then? Do you know if there are some variation on the sets? Have you seen it in other stores? Netto exists here, but not as near as some other shops.
  13. Totally depends. My brother never liked the series, but he did like the movie for some reason. Iam unable to see it due to apple-crappiness. I dont want to buy nor wait 20 more hours for a file that wont install, is there no version for VLC or any other good program?
  14. Sorry, but my friends from that area of the world did not find it the least fun, nor did I.
  15. Hmm... Its wierd Lugnet still exist, all one hear about it is pretty much bad. Sure, all the big guys are there, but its so... Unattractive. And now flamewars. Kids spam, adults troll. its the same intellectual level, but used by different age groups.
  16. I think it could have been fun, but the turban+dynamite makes one think of the prejudice against arabic people. A balaclava like the one used by "Urban Commando", a dynamite and gun would be less offensive. Second, Im not sure this seen is "oblivious" enough, though that can be discussed. ;-)
  17. Hmm, looks Swede-y. the two things I react on is that the visor is poking out, and that the turret now has two holes on its back, can easily be filled by a 1x2 piece. Now, mass 'em!
  18. Appeal? Cool factions, nice logos, som of the colorschemes like the Ice Planet, were AWESOME. Also, the set design was nifty. The only negative thing about it was the motorcycle helmets and silly robots, but apart from that, it rocked. It was when UFO and Insectoids appeared that classic space fell, but it was probably not because of these factions but under their time, it was hard getting anything else than UFOs under its year and Insectoids under its year. The classic first theme may have been one-factioned, but when Lego produces aliens they should understand that people want some humans for them to fight, Exploriens did exist the first year of the UFO, but they became hard to find that year. Thus, the loss of classic space due to bad sales, I believe.
  19. *sob* :'-( Adventures was the only theme taking up my favorite era(s): 1880-1930. Aside from the great atmosphere of the 20's, Adventures had very interesting characters, an australian (!) hero, lots of fans and introduced things like the 5-bladed pike, the scimitar, all those nice hats, useful generic faces... The list is long. The ability to just take up any place in the world and by so combine it with ninja, castle, vikings, pirates... It was a cool theme. Well, atleast we got Athos... ;-)
  20. The fish piece, or rather carp piece, is from the Ninja theme, used on roofs as decoration there. The torso is probably a majisto (blue wizard) torso, since I cant remember any blue torsos that fit for peasants in KK2, nor any actual "blue" ones either. A decent scene, though, I guess its a strike of overwhelmness after seeing your bigger ones this one does not impress me incredibly, but its a great scene nontheless. A built baseplate is allways cool to see aswell.
  21. The skintone revealed the joke- I got the fact of license=peach in by backbone. :-P Of course noone believes in stuff the 1st April anyways(or shouldnt). ;-)
  22. Ah, classic. I had a shorter link to it (without commercials) but it seems to be dead now. Thanks for the new one! Its hard to miss the parrot. :-P Its wierd how managed to see this one before the movie itself, but Im always slow when it comes to classics.
  23. You wont probably ever see it, Lego created a Megabloks-ban in the netherlands some year or so ago, lawsuits and stuff made Megabloks stop exporting Lego to yer homeland. Indeed, Lego got a smaller section than ever in BR (owner of TRU in europe), I think the Megabloks section is getting bigger. I have yet to see how it is in TRU though.
  24. None. Jeff Wayne (composer) X-D
  25. Well, apparently his name was "Scrat", but there seems to have been a legal twist around it (someone created the term "Sqrat" for a squirrel/rat hybrid just before the movie was made), so the "scrat" has not been called "scrat" alot because of this.
