  1. Sadly, memories of Rock Raiders will never justify £350.
  2. Why is there a shovel on the side of this thing? It looks ridiculous and isn't even accurate.
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like this thing can fit on the trailer from 42175.
  4. White track links are cool, but this set... eww, no. Think we have the worst of 2025 right here.
  5. New bucket! Wahooey! Little disappointed that this 🐕 is in a smaller scale than previous Volvo sets though. And no Audi tyres? Pooch screwed, TLG. Pooch screwed.
  6. LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THIS BITCH! And motorized functions - nice! New bucket as well! Between this set and 42209, it feels like heavy equipment is actually getting some love from TLG.
  7. According to Bricktastic.nl, 42209 is not going to be the purpose-built Volvo L120, but the L120H Conversion model. Obviously I don't know how credible this is, but here it is anyway. Here's the English translation if you don't know Dutch, or can't be arsed to run it through a translator: Volvo fans can get started with two new sets this summer, including the LEGO Technic 42209 Volvo L120H Electric Conversion Loader. This 973-piece model will be released in the LEGO Shop on June 1, 2025 for €99.99. The Volvo L120H Electric Conversion Loader is an electric version of the L120H. It offers the same performance and productivity as its diesel counterpart, but with zero emissions and quieter operation. The electric drive system means lower energy consumption and reduced maintenance costs. The L120H Electric Conversion is especially suitable for urban construction sites and indoor work, where a cleaner, quieter machine is required.
  8. No. It's only 973 parts, which makes it very much mid-range. If anything, the Volvo EC500 is this year's flagship.
  9. And the year before that. It's unlikely to change, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong on that.
  10. You forgot the thin beam on the underside of the header that gets scratched and damaged when the harvester is pushed. This is the worst set of 2024 and one of the worst Technic sets I have ever built. It is an absolute failure across the board: authenticity, nope; build, nope; functions, nope. Wasn't long before stacks of this thing showed up at discount outlets around my hometown. Mine is currently disassembled in a box along with 42178. Quite frankly, I'm not surprised the John Deere license hasn't shown up this year - I wouldn't be shocked to hear that TLG had shuffled it quietly out the back door after this disaster.
  11. Tell me about it. We haven't even had images of the summer wave for this year yet.
  12. Would sir be satisfied with a GIANT F*CK-OFF VOLVO EXCAVATOR?
  13. Wish TLG would put in this much effort lately.
  14. Indeed. Anyway, since CON+TROLL is out the door and PF no longer a thing, is this puppy even gonna be motorized? It being 18+ is no indicator of motorization, as seen with the Ford Raptor. And using manual control to lift that mahoosive boom would be tedious, to say the least.
  15. I'm hoping the EC500 will include some serious bells and whistles, including this badass engine bay.
  16. I know that this is an April Fools joke, but it really wouldn't surprise me if there were a grain of truth here.
  17. So, here we have one of the dull bloody cars from the August wave before we've seen anything for June. Yep, par for the course at this point.
  18. If those measurements are for the model itself, then I think the length and height are the wrong way round.
  19. Here's an image of the innards of 8466, courtesy of Blakbird. http://www.technicopedia.com/8466/8466guts.jpg
  20. Just built the combine harvester from the latest Technic magazine, and the yellow parts are actually flame-yellowish orange! Looks like a CAT Lexion.
  21. Check out the eye-melting neon tyres in the latest Dreamzzz set.
