What the heck are you building?!

I really didn't. I've checked the hoses and they're all correct. Are the instructions wrong on where to put the stickers? I just said that... looks like they are indeed!

Hello again Eurobricks! I got 8439 recently - brilliant set, a total challenge to build and a great end result. However, I've noticed that the pneumatic valve that controls the loader's bucket lifting arms lifts the arms in the wrong direction corresponding to the stickers on either side. When pressed to go up, the arms go down, and vice versa. I've attached all the hoses correctly, and I just have no idea what's going on! I have seen videos on YouTube where the valves seem to make up their own mind which way they go, but what's up with that? Can someone shed light on this issue, please?

The 42023 B-model, shown on the laptop icon on the box, is a scraper. The 42024 B-model is a grader. Maybe I've not been specific enough.

Loaders usually are pretty huge in comparison to trucks and excavators, especially the big Caterpillar and Volvo models. That's a scraper. Road Graders have the cabin at the back - scrapers have it at the front. Funny that this is the same B-model as the 2003 8453, though!

That's a scraper, not a grader, I believe. Interestingly, the last time we saw a scraper was back in '03 with the 8453 loader, which is incredibly similar to the one in 42023. Ooooops! Now I see the one you mean. I thought you were talking about 42023's B-model! Wow, that's one colourful grader!

It is a pity that no models in the new line-up are pneumatic. From what I've seen, pneumatics do work more fluidly and take more time and effort to implement, and I would like to try it. Maybe I spoke too soon with the inventories. I actually can't see many new-new parts aside from these axle parts we've been talking about.

There's no doubt - set inventories for 2014 are going to be interesting!

I'd like that too. LEGO have reissued sets in the past - why not have a rerelease of 8275 or 8043? Or maybe even a new set with RC?
