  1. I totally see that point but in history LEGO doesn't think that way. They put meaningful figs in there sets, it's up to the kid's to lower the importance of a fig to mear soldier status. Taking into account all the battlepacks so far, I really don't think we'll be getting a named character in the battle packs.
  2. Weird the same Pastor married me and my wife.
  3. You're not getting it. The point is they are NAMED characters, with specific identities. LEGO doesn't sell licensed sets with the idea you will use the pieces for MOC's, if they did they would sell you a bucket of sweet parts that we commonly find in expensive licensed sets. LEGO specifically markets these battle packs as multiple purchases. Even if you only bought two, then you'd have 2 Wedges, now would that make sense? Of course not. Having 3 nameless hoth rebels makes sense, because there can logically be more than one of them, since armies usually have many soldiers who look the same and you usually don't know the names of each and every one. It will not happen.
  4. Welcome to the forum, your not the first yoda to walk these grounds. We have a great star wars community here, you'll like it.
  5. Nice, I love the Muppets, he was one of the funnier characters, looks like oyur on your way to making a good LEGO version.
  6. Sounds like you've thought it through. Plus if your school has wi-fi, you could get on Eurobricks during class.
  7. If you can get it on LEGO.com, do it, they charge the actual price unlike some others.
  8. You work for LEGO?!?!?!!

  10. Ebay and paypal work like this. Ebay: The seller lists an item and has to pay a small fee for this, if someone (you) buys the item, they get charged another small fee. The good thing for buyers on ebay, is as the buyer, you have no extra fee's to pay. You do need to remember to factor in shipping though, sometimes greedy ebay sellers will increase the price of shipping to cover their fees. paypal: OK, paypal has got to be the number one way to pay for things on the internet and is heavily accepted for ebay and bricklink. It can get tricky and there are fees. As a buyer, technically you don't loose any money. The seller on the other hand will loose a small percentage if you pay with a credit card. In order to be able to accept credit card payments, you have to be a premium member, whcih basically just says, I agree to the loss of about 1.5% of all my earnings. As a paypal buyer, you do not have to be a premium member and in turn you would only be able to recieve paymnets form other directly froma checking account. SO, the thing to remember and to look for is the seller jacking up the shipping price to make up for the % lost in paypal fees? Or does the seller specifically say, "if paying with paypal increase your total purchase price by $xx.xx" It all sounds expensive but there really isn't any FASTER way to do business. Some sellers may accept money orders or checks, but take it fro me, DON'T send anyone money that you can't get back. Paypal ofers protection in case the seller turns out to be a bad apple and steals your money, plus if you use your credit card through paypal, you are double protected becasue you could also file a claim through your credit card company. I hope I helped, I know I tend to ramble on.
  11. That's really cool, but is that actually LEGO's property? Or is it a private collector? plus what was with some of the super old sets being built, did they have more than one set?
  12. As stated before, it is likely because it is a battlepack. No sense in mass producing characters that there was only one of. LEGO knows you are going to buy more than one of these to build an army. There were not 65 General Veers in the movie, now were there?
  13. Actually the new Motorola Droid from Verizon Wireless does everythig the iphone can and more. The only question is which format is better. I personally want an iphone but AT&T doesn't service my area, Verizon does though and I've done a bit of research on the droid and it looks pretty sweet.
  14. I am quick like ninja That's good news. I'll have to check into the Mars sets, I really want to know where they came from.
  15. Excellent, I was just looking out for you, those are the kind of ebay sellers I try to deal with To the Otters, I'm in your boat as I don't really use my ipod anymore, I bought it just because it was the cool thing, I actually havent picked mine up in a while, but it caters to a certain type of person. Maybe he's not able to have a phone contract, at 15 I know my parents would never fork over the $50-100 per month for a smartphone plan.
  16. Pics are crazy bright on the left side, btu for a block fig, it looks good, especially from the front, I can see the scout troopers helmet in there
  17. Oh ya, I only got about 7 of the stormtroper battlebacks, but I just picked up some more individual stormtroopers. The Hoth rebels are brand new, adn I want to make sure I have a small army.
  18. The more I look at it, that makes alot of sense. I think that's it.
  19. Here you go, I found the form. http://www.bricklink.com/passwordUsername.asp?viewType=my Click that link and then change the drop down box to your email, and they will likely email your username to you, once you have that, if you can't remember your password, go here. http://www.bricklink.com/password.asp Hope this helped.
  20. Very slick little speeder, I like the wings alot, in fact I don't think I've seen those pieces before. You do know that your pilot had green in his hair? Do they care about that?
  21. Hi Clonebob Screampants, welcome to Eurobricks, as a new member I suggest you look over the Site Guidelines If you follow those rules I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time here at Eurobricks. I see in the 12 hours you've been here you've managed to win a contest, go through the reviewers academy (wow, this took me almost 2 months), become a huge fan of Star Wars (I haven't even been able to achieve this yet), become a huge fan of Forest LEGO sets, and move to Austrailia. It looks like you will fit right in here at Eurobricks.
  22. I agree with ADHO15, it would be silly to put a main character with a name in battlebacks, then we would all have 10 General Veer's
  23. I have never even heard of these sets before but I came across the adventurers index. Thank you so much Sandy for reviewing all of these. It's great to find out about LEGO's that you never knew existed. I finally know where the white snow creature came from. I'm impressed with your overall collection too.
  24. Nice picture review, these Atlantis sets are really great, so much diversity in the pieces, and those new helmets are just great. Thanks for the pics! I checked my Toys R Us and there is still nothing to be found
  25. Review looks great, this is a fun little set that I wish got delivered to me as well.
