Yes they could be use for Americans! I know alot of people said the blue coats were most likely the french army, but If you look at the french their uniforms they were light blue!!! But I am much more of a fan of the red coats I always like the bad guys. Always have the bigger armies and better equipment!

I'd say the new lego pirates are good but not great! heres my 2 cents, I think the new pirate line will have bigger and better sets to come.. If you look back at the sets in 89 they were pretty good I mean i know the Eldorado fortress was way bigger and better then the fort battle but the pirate ships were similar in some ways! it was 3 years latter when you started to see the bigger and real awesome sets so I think if you give lego some time and see whats to come you might change your opinion on how the new pirate line is hopefully it will have better sets to come. I'm waiting for a new imperial flagship!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think that the islanders ruined the pirate series! If you ask me the armada troops that took the place of the (redcoat) imperial guards is when I was sad and disappointed about the pirate line, and that's when the line ended as well!

hey guys hows it going i love your guys page all the excellent creations and just a great home for lego pirate lovers ive been a lego fan all my life when i was 10 back in 95 i had the best xmas getting the imperial trading post and the scull eye schooner and other pirate sets now im 25 and this past xmas got all the new pirate sets and back on board collecting legos!!! i have also made a lego pirate movie on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ufk4GM5KWJc well i look forward to posting more comments and all!!!!!
