I hope your not running out of bricks, I see a rainbow going on inside. Thanks Cam, I actually started off the project with those big modular wall pieces. When I was using those as a base it was hard to work with them, so I then decided to use my multi-colored blocks as the base. I still have plenty Grey slope pieces ,once I get the fort built I'm then going to go cover all that rainbow up with Grey plates.

Hey guys I've started a new MOC. I'm now making a fort and small village/trade port here are some photos I took, sorry some are a little blurry but please give feedback. I'm building it on 6 green 32x32 base plates 4 32x32 blues and 2 16x32 blue base plates. So far I'm not sure how many or what type of buildings I'll be putting in the village but here is the layout so far, tell me what you think.

The (QAR)for the most part looks awesome! Some flaws the cannons don't have wheels, but they have the brown base for the cannon. The sails are beautiful and the design looks good. I was kinda hoping for a deck like the (IFS),but it looks more like the (BB).Anyways I plan on getting all these sets except the mill,to me it has the least appeal. I think instead I'll spend an extra 10 bucks and buy doubles of the London escape ! -
Big Cam, did you at least give them each a pistol with 1 shot!

A nice ship you have there. However I agree with captain becker the gunports are to large and a little weird looking. Also the stern has a bit of a boxey look to it.5he inside of the cabian looks nicely detailed and the colors are great keep up the good work, looking forward to the finished product.

I just went to my local wal*mart store here in the U.S and on the action figure aile they had the POTC action figures. Last year the POP sets came out at the end of March at the Lego store by my house. The store calender showed them releasing mid April? The Prince of Persia movie came out in May as well. I wouldn't be suprise to start seeing the potc sets soon, so keep a weathered eye on the horizon. -
[pid][/pid]120C Ahoy classic pirates, I present to you my latest creation. About 10 months ago I had finally found Captain Green hairs ship building tutorial. I found the tutorial very helpful and just showed me how most of these awesome ships were built on this site. So I took my old ship, the imperial shark seeing as how its design Wasn’t all that great and decided to start a new ship! So November 22nd 2010 I began this project. I had completely taken apart the shark and started on my new flagship. After about a Month the ship started to take shape, after many different bow changes, and stern changes, I had finally got the look I wanted but there was one thing that didn't look right. The ship's colors brown and white just weren't cutting it so I then choose to change it to black and yellow, the traditional British ship colors. As I was browsing the MOC ship pages, some ships stood out to me, and those were the ones with custom rigging. This was going to be a new challenge for me and I choose to do it. This was very long, tedious, and a bit stressful but in the end it was all worth it! For the netting I took 2 different string sizes and threaded it through each other with a threading needle... I also decided to make custom mast to give me freedom so I could make the sails any size I want and position them how I want. The ship has 58 cannons and each port does have a cannon. I also decided to make custom British blue ensign flags to sail under. I'd like to thank the classic pirate forum for all the great feedback and everything on previous creations. Also my lantern design I got from CGH and Bonaparte’s Spanish Imperial Galleon Nuestra Señora de la Concepción. Also thanks again to captain green hairs tutorial it was a big help to get started on this. So check out the ship and let me know what you think!!! The Beauty The bow The side The stern Side of stern shot The Rigging My link For the rest check out my brick shelf page...

This is very cool. To me it almost looks more like a forestry lookout tower to spot out forest fires... It does look fragile too but very cool and tall, keep up the great work.

Derfel this ship looks amazing like every other creation you make! I love the goonies movie and I think its awsome that you basing a whole moc project on the cave scene... I'm really looking forward to following this project of yours! Once again I love that ship the design look is flawless so far! Keep up with the great work man...

A very nice ship there! All the details on it are very nice. I am 50/50 on the credit part. I do think that you should credit people but, there are so many moc's out there that it's hard to track sometimes who is the inventor of a certain teqnique. I've seen alot of good moc's here and alot of them use same ideas as others, to me that's the whole part for this fourm to share your creations and help future builders with ideas. People who deserve credit in my eyes are people like captain green hair who have made whole tutorials on how to make a full ship. Well that's just my 2 cents and I hope I didn't offend anybody..

I love this ship! Everything is really nicely detailed, I really love the mast design as well as those amazing sails. The rigging job is top notch and I love the color scheme of the ship! This is a great ship Admiral hope to see more to come.

I like the traditional yellow.Since i use to build small models I'm pretty good at painting therefore the torsos that have flesh i use a good water based model paint to cover over the flesh. I've already done it on the POP and harry potter figs then i just buy lots of yellow hands and heads on eBay so thats my plan for the pirates theme! -

I'm pretty sure this has been said but i haven't seen all the post in this thread. But I hope to see some good wig hair pieces on the British! Also hoping for an exclusive of port royal or the HMS en devour or dauntless. Well I hope this theme stays like star wars and doesn't fall to the way side like Indy and POP and the others -
Very nice house my favorite part is the back part with the 2 guys drinking very well done!
-
Well here's a pic its not the clearest but you can see the pink one on the left! I called Lego and there sending me out a pre-paid envelope to send back all 14 pink torsos I suggest if they bother you then send them back cause the more people who complain then hopefully the issue will get fixed! pink vs. white

I've bought a lot of the kingdom sets a lot of multiples!I never payed attention to this until I read this thread and noticed Ive got 14 out of 25 pinks!!! I called Lego today but i wasn't home and they needed the set numbers and I dont know them off the top of my head! Hopefully they can replace them for me!

Well I'm new to the historic side of the forum I'm a big fan of pirates, but with the new kingdoms sets I've grown really attached to this new theme!!! If you like good history time line books theirs a good series called eyewitness books by dk publishing. I would recommend the one on boats ,pirates , and American revolution! All have pictures and great descriptions on things, there actually kids books but i'm 27 and i still find them helpful and just great to read!
