Like Big Cam said, there is no info or details yet. All I saw was small pic in a sort of catalog which showed a large Flying Dutchman set. Like I said, the store employees were very open about it, saying thats the only set they have seen but there are also some other new sets along with it. Their exact word's when I asked about POTC was: 'We know about a large set based on that ship that comes out of the water' So I said 'you mean the Flying Dutchman' 'Yes that's the one' The fact that they were open about it makes me think that it will be officially confirmed and shown pretty soon. I am not going to give a description of what I saw, its down to Lego to release the pics and details, not me. I would probably assume that there will be one more wave of POTC sets, and the theme will finish with the Dutchman as the large exclusive set.

It's funny you mention that, as I was watching The Fellowship Of the Ring last month, and when it got to the scene with the village of Bree I looked and thought 'that is so me'. So yes I can confirm I have already started on a large detailed version of the Village Of Bree, and it's great that I will be able to have official figs now! I've always wanted to build a LOTR moc but thought I wasn't good enough to do it justice. But I'm up for the challenge and it will be my greatest moc to date!

If I remember rightly I think some set pictures were leaked a month ago, very grainy and hard to really tell what was what. Then again, they could have been fakes, but they looked legit. Who knows and who cares, always best to wait and see the official decent images. Oh well, I can now sit back and enjoy watching everyone moan and complain about how the sets are not accurate to the movies and moaning because Minas Tireth is not a huge 3000 piece set You just know that's gonna happen.

Finally, don't have to keep any secrets any more!!! The sets look interesting from what I've seen, but won't know till proper high res pics are released. Certain members wont be going round and round anymore now!! Worst kept secret, but a very welcome addition to the Lego themes.

Great work mate, this really jumps out! The tower has a very interesting shape and I love what you did with all those black arch pieces. I also really like those cut-away sections with trans colors behind them, looks really effective. Excellent work and worthy to take its place amongst your other great Drow creations.

You are producing some really great mocs Captain! I really like your detailed texture style you have. You always cram so many different shades and tones that really add to the detail. There's so much to see in this moc and all those details are excellent, you really have kitted this out, a feast for the eyes. The A.T.C is really looking a powerhouse in Avalonia. Nice work

This looks excellent Sirens! One thing I always enjoy about your mocs are the way you create seperate mocs for the interior scenes. This is such a great idea as it allows you to create a much more detailed interior scene without the restrictions. Great details and so many interesting techniques. You really have created your own fantasy style building niche, a instantly recognizable style of your own. Really great work, give ya'self a pat on the back

Very nicely done! You have captured the Avalonian country look, and crammed so many great details into this. Great landscape and a very cosy interior. The hen house and plow are really great additions, its details like these which really add that extra bit of greatness to a moc. Well done!

I know very well why Lego would not do certain themes, I was just being light hearted. Excellent well put point Z, and one I have thought about. Some sets that Lego have produced have often made me wonder why a parent would choose it over something more obviously appealing. I really hope we do see some good 'instant buy' sets in this theme, but I fear there will be a few based on 'scenes' that will only be worth buying for the figs, as POTC suffered from this problem.

So true! I think more kids play violent military games than adults! Weather they like it or not, if Lego did release a military theme, it would sell by the bucket load, such is the way of the younger generation of today!

Hobbit would seem obvious. It's all about cashing in. Well, like I was saying, I do understand that modern military would put out the wrong message to kids. Let's hope then, that the world doesn't get attacked by the other races out in space, otherwise starwars and space themes would be deemed wrong and unsuitable! The fact that there is this huge thread about LOTR just goes to show it's another contender for the Worst Kept Secret Award. I wonder if we will ever get a theme that hits us totally by surprise, that would be great. Has there been official conformation of this theme in the last few days or something? As my flickr mail is flooded with message from every average joe there is, saying 'hey derfel, did you know.....' Leave me alone, I don't care!

Call Of Duty is a cash cow, why hasn't Lego released a line based on that? Because its too violent? But then again someone mentioned that star wars is very violent? Yes very Violent! It still gives me the creeps now, I still can't watch it on my own, that little robot guy just freaks me out and don't get me started on that giant slug. Should be an 18 rating!!! Obviously not! The difference is that you really don't see much overly violent stuff in StarWars. Yes, a whole planet is destroyed, but you don't see people getting blown into little bits when it happens. Still, maybe there's hope for a 'Jack The Ripper' theme then !

Excellent work o all the new creations rolling in, the quality in builds keeps getting better and better. It really great to see you all pushing yourselves and producing some stunning mocs. Avalonia just gets better and better! Well done Rolli, this is looking so unique and extremely well built! The details round the door are fantastic and really work well. Im a big fan of using wedge pieces for roofs, it looks great and you are doing a good job of a tricky technique with the angles. I hope you get it finished, however I would not want you to rush this as its looking like it has great potential. This looks excellent! I can see a great scene building up here, lovely work on the whole layout. The gatehouse is looking great and I particularly like the wooden battlements at the top. Very impressive so far, I look forward to seeing more!

Another stunning build! The landscaping is excellent, I really like the different ways you have designed all the foliage. The is cave really well made with those trans green plates and thats a nice treasure horde! Very mystical and exactly what I hoped to see from that area of Avalonia. I did have you placed in the Enchanted Forest, but I think the Mystic Isles is an area that hasn't really been used much, so it would make sense that you use it for your mocs as no one knows what lies in that area. I will put you down under 'Faerie Forest' for the moment, so that's where your mocs will be listed. If you want to give your area a different name then just let me know. Great work!

I really enjoy builds like this, so different and original. You have packed a lot into this build and the result is excellent. Great work on the interior and the secret tunnel. The tower has a very interesting design and colorscheme which really make it stand out. Great work!

Another excellent creation. Nicely built, lots of detail and it's good that it doesn't look similar to de Gothia's. I do agree with the others about the greenery, but then again Albion should be a beautiful city, so maybe there are lots of flowers. Great addition, I look forward to seeing your next builds!

Unfortunately it's a difficult situation, believe it or not, there are a lot of people here who do know things a long time before everyone else, but outof respect do not make things public. If you believe it's not going to happen that's fine, that's what this thread is for, discussion. But to assume no one knows the truth of weather it is or not is pointless, cause a lot of people do. You'll just have to wait and see what happens. Oh and by the way, there are 2 Lego stores I know that have been open about weather it will or not. Oh well, I guess you will just have to wait and see what ithemes are unvieled at the upcoming shows.

You may be going round and round, but certain others are not. I think I will keep our of this debate. The outcome will come as no surprise to me

Actually, rather than asking weather LOTR is coimng or not, just go in there and say 'can you tell me what date the LOTR sets are being released' then you will get the answer your looking for.

Great work on all the new builds! Avalonia goes from strength to strength. Great to see members signing up for the capital build, some great builds coming through, it will certainly be the mightiest capital in Historica and something we can all be proud of. Im really pleased with how our land is unfolding and growing. I feel we are organised and have already built a great foundation. Lets keep up the great work! @C.J.Cutrone9, great work on your tower, do you have a name for your area of land? @Doornroosje, I have added your land under the name of Arod Mearas, is that ok, or do you have another name you would like your land to be called? I will eventually put the map on the first page, but I thought it better to wait till we have sorted out all the different areas and have a fresh updated version. I don't expect our poor map maker to have to make a new map every few weeks, so I hope we can all get sorted and choose and name an area of land so a fresh up to date map can be made that will last for a good while. Sounds good, I will add your area to the list when you post your gatehouse. Ahh yes, a prize! Great work on the Albion thread, looks like things are going very well. Well reminded, the Watchtower challenge is coming to an end soon. Only 5 entries can be used to represent our guild, so we will all have to vote and choose which towers will make it through.
