Huge Price Increase for Pick A Brick Items!
The Green Brick Giant replied to Eurospanol25's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yes people make mistakes they forgot to take off $10 of an order and were very nice and called me back and took care of it. That was a mistake. If LEGO isn't giving people refunds if they ordered in the last week than it's not a mistake, it was a planned increase, it's very simple. That said the prices now are still fantastic. I use it mainly for minifgiure pieces and the section is awesome. -
Huge Price Increase for Pick A Brick Items!

Perfectly said. This clearly was not a mistake, are their LEGO fans crazy enough not to read what they have said? They said it was a mistake, took it back, then said that this was a price increase, they claim the first ever, then took it back to say "Opps we increased it too much without any warning". This was not a mistake, if it were then LEGO would go "we are sorry and will repay anyone who bought at the mistake prices", they didn't say that. Instead we got a thing saying "We made the mistake of increasing them too much without warning'. That means they will just slowly rise to the prices we saw earlier. -
Huge Price Increase for Pick A Brick Items!

Exactly. The homepage says "Those high Pick-A-Brick prices seemed to have been corrected", but they weren't corrected, they were lowered. No where does LEGO say they made a mistake, they were trying to see if they could get away with it. I don't mind price increases, but a torso from around 50 cents to $250 is insane, 68 cents is a great price, even $1 is fine, but $2.50? dream on LEGO. -

^ LEGO doesn't make mistakes like this, they sometimes do typos and say the set contains 3 minifigures when it really has 4. This was a planned increase in prices, we don't need LEGO to come out and say that because they are a company and they lie. Remember the color change? They came out with 10 different reasons for the change, and I don't even know which one was right. In the USA there used to be emails saying "We are looking into the pricing mistakes on PaB", a few days later it now reads "We increased the amount of pieces and colors, and have increased the price for the first time ever", which is a lie! The walls at the stores already increased their prices last year from $13 to $15, in the USA of course, so I don't see that going any higher right now. -
Huge Price Increase for Pick A Brick Items!
The Green Brick Giant replied to Eurospanol25's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It went from 13 and 39 cents to $1.54, so why no $4? These aren't mistakes, this is LEGO clearly trying to take money from children. Not only will I never buy ANYTHING from PaB again, I'm seriously thinking about cutting back even more on LEGO products this year then I have already planned. I will not be buying anything from S@H unless the price is amazing. I know LEGO is a company, and the set price increases this year were bad enough, but this is just spitting in the face of fans. I can see LEGO even going after bricklink now just so they can get every damn penny a fan has. If you bought all the pieces from the Policeman Impulse set on PaB it would cost like $10USD! The dog is $2, the minifigure would be around $4.50! Even Lugnet's LEGO Ambassador has a HUGE article on the fact that if LEGO needs to increase the prices of the PaB this much than maybe they should just close up shop. -

Because it's not a mistake. The people you call to complain don't have a clue what is going on, no one tells them anything. And when the Space Factory sets were added several things increased in price a lot, one being the grey 16 by 32 baseplate when from $1.63 or soemthing to $.50+, and the glass black doors went from 13 and 39 cents to $1.54, and several other thnigs that were cheap went to $1.54. Also the price of a red cherry was 13 cents and the lime green was 26, both became 26 cents. So it's not the first price increase, it's just the first people noticed because it's insane and on every piece. -
If you could revive any one dead theme...
The Green Brick Giant replied to Darth Legolas's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I loved the last Adventure theme and would gladly like to see it return with Atlantis. I really want a theme with the shark head and the mermaids from that Harry Potter set. 1. Adventure 2. Ninja 3. Wild West Aquazone Divers Paradisa Exo-force Vikings Harry Potter -
There will never be a working monorail again. This is a special set, and the pictures mean nothing. The set can't be more than $100 or no one would buy it so monorail is out. The pictures are meaningless because the "park" is only the Town Plan set in cartoon form.

I wish they didn't use so much detail on the truck and made the windmill twice as tall. The reason people like the Vista (Is that the company?) one is because it was huge and in the correct scale. Nice set, WAY too small. So how much is the set? 30-40 euro?

Signs of a new Greek/Spartan theme?
The Green Brick Giant replied to Oky's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
No. LEGO doesn't like doing history sets because they supposedly don't sell as where because they have no vehicles. -

That's alie, they increased the prices of pieces after they made the Factory Space sets were released. -
You do realize those pictures have nothing to do with anything right? All they did was take older sets and connected them together to form the theme. The Park one is only City Life, and the $150 set in cartoon form.

This has happened before. There used to be a woman's head and that was taken down, and there were doors for 13 and 39 cents USD and it went up to $1.54. However in what universe does LEGO think people will spend $4-$5 on a non Star wars minifigure? -
That's my problem too. I have nothing against people making fake sets for fun as long as they call them fake. Saying these are fro m2010 is idiotic because those look horribly blah.
-
My problem is the price of the new system is the battery pack is $50 and the thing to charge it is another $25! That is completely insane and LEGO said that 9V was too expensive to make and too much for children, and the new system seems even worse. Plus a real train plugs into the wall and has metal tracks.
-
It was part of the TRU exclusive line, those are never made as long as other themes. Plus they were hugly overpriced (the mail sets). The same will most likely happen to the Farm sets this year, they are just no produced for long and they are also HUGELY overpriced.

Amazon USA has LEGO Exo-Force Striking Venom for $28.68. Link -
WYeah it loosk like half a base, way too small to know if it's good or not. However it has the "Paradisa" curved window in the set that that is great to see.
-
It's a bad guy base... I think....

Great and not so great colours
The Green Brick Giant replied to 3.14 Toasts's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I love sand red which they don't make anymore. I just got my first dark TAN, not brown, not a huge fan of it. Also all the shades of pink LEGO made only about 1 looks nice. -
Well that's incredibly stupid considering we have official pictures of all the Agent 2.0 sets.
-
Let's hope. The Harry Potter bus had 5-6 shades of purple and pick-purple.

New set: Letters Building System
The Green Brick Giant replied to paksu's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yet another set that Americans will most likely not ever see, yet Europeans always complain about getting a set "late".
