I can promise one thing, there won't be a group called Crusaders anytime soon. My point earlier is why do they need to star ta whole new Castle line, they could expand the current one and have Evles, and Wolfmen (now with wolf heads) and forestmen in the current theme. However any Castle is better than no Castle as long as the shields aren't stickers.

When I went to bed I swear there were only 137 entries and now there are 140....

Black Friday 2009 discussion thread
The Green Brick Giant replied to Darth Legolas's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
A backlog in LEGO gifts. I get a set or two for Christmas, smaller ones for Birthday and Easter. Last year I got the $50 Castle from Walmart and something else. Easter I got the Factory hot rod set. My Birthday this year I got the Factory Space Justice set that I bought last year. So for Christmas I should get the $30 IJ ugly temple and the $15 jungle cutter. I'm 24 and my mom doesn't like giving me a lot of lEGOs, it makes the pictures looks childish. -
Bingo. Pirates are also bad, as a kid we are taught they aren't really human. Agents fight mutants and weird stuff. lol However with Castle it's one human knight verse another, it's different. Too me the orcs almost look human, about as human as the Agents things do.

I like the fact I'm also getting that set for Christmas because my mom bought it August of 2008 when it was on clearance at Walmart for $30. -
LEGO Shop@Home Friday sales
The Green Brick Giant replied to Big Cam's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I'll post what I posted at Brickset before the mods there went power mad.... The news sale ideas on S@H USA are a joke, the rest of the world isn't missing anything. LEGO hadn't updated it in several months and all they add is a bunch of garbage and 20% off some magnet sets. They didn't add a single System set! So much for "Going back to basics". It's a pathetic excuse of a Black Friday sale and I hope LEGO is reading this because its the sale is so bad it's insulting to LEGO fans. Also the 10% off thing didn't work last year either, you have to call. The operater will be clueless and they will call you back later. -
I don't mind human on human, I think the current line should continue with other human fractions. I find it interesting that LEGO doesn't like human on human in it's themes, Agents, Space Police, Power Miners, yet will bring it back in Castle.

Really? I'd like to know what Toy Story 3 sets will come out in the summer, same with City. -
Agents 2010 Sets Rumor
The Green Brick Giant replied to diggitydug's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wikiepedia is a fine site. However when it comes to LEGO anything listed on a wiki is a joke. There were like 15 sets listed, no way that many would ever come out, more so from a theme that most everyone believes is dead. -
My camera is broken and my mom's is lost... so..... enjoy my... creation! Thankfully this isn't a contest, I scanned the thing to make sure I'm in the EDIT- raffle. Linkie

2010 Set Discontinuations

Good to hear, the Cement Truck is awesome. -
I doubt it considering most LEGO sales are children, LEGO most likely wanted to try something new and is "going back to basics" with the new Castle theme. Frankly I'm 24 and I love the current Caste sets, and so do a lot of the AFOLs I know. I'm sure the next Castle theme will also be fantasy, unless dragons and wizards are now part of history. :)

Maybe LEGO can screw over everyone in the USA and not release the Castle Impulse sets like they did with the Good Wizard set. Which reminds me I still have to screw them over for that.
-
I think it's because LEGO confused TRU with another fire station when the last one was still around. So they think the 2010 $80 is the older $60 one.

2010 Set Discontinuations

Good to see there are no surprises, most of those sets I haven't seen in years. Like Agents 1.0, can't remember the last time I saw those. -
LEGO KidsFest in Hartford CT

^ Yeah it was a fun time, but it was horribly planned. Leaving the parking garage there was two boothes to exit, only one opened. It was a nice date, both of us are LEGO freaks, he stopped when he went to college through, and I still keep up to date with things, but don't buy as many. -

IF YOU DID NOT BUY ADVANCE TICKETS DO NOT GO! Wow! Just so poorly planned, it was beyond belief. There are 175,000 LEGO fans in the Northeast USA and EVERYONE OF THEM was there! They had to close entry because there were too many people, ticket lines were 2+ hours. Traffic was a nightmare, insanity. -
Awesome little set. Just glad it's not $13.
-
Well that's the free market for you. I love the fact that the shipping is $35USD and that's about how much those three sets are normally.

I always thought it was a rather limited theme. I can see LEGO rereleasing all the same things again just to cash in.
