Getting it tomorrow on the NZ release day! Pretty pumped for this game. I love the first portal and having a longer version will be incredible. But Im getting it on PS3 cause that way I dont have to pay for it on my computer. Everyone seems to love it so Im sure it will be good. All the new features look like they add a lot to the game and I hope it doesnt get caught in the portal 1 trap which is using the same techniques to solve a level (my only criticism about that game). Can someone explain how portal fits into the half-life universe (and vice-versa)? Im curious cause that game seems interesting...

While I collect Star Wars Lego I never try to MOC it. I like to MOC modular buildings and town. I think its because I find SW more of a fun thing for me. I dont really care if its to small or a wrong colour is being used as long as it looks right. The modulars I feel have to have this kind of critiquing. The colours really make a difference and so does the size. If it doesnt look right in these areas I dont think its a good modular MOC. I've never posted a MOC on EB before though, its more of a skill building exercise for me before I go all out and build a modular town (which should be soon). So for me its not really a turn of the tides, its a different ocean entirely.

This is really good work Alopex! The info is pretty spot on even if I havent seen some of the roles in EB games. Then the vignettes just push this to a higher level. Great work and I think you've definitely set a standard for Draggy on the official handbook.

Yeah thats a really big plus, I definitely agree. PF seems to be to be a bag of hurt in this instance, too much of a hassle. Does anyone know if the newer pieces from 6991 like the switch track piece will work with every other monorail piece? Was there any change in connections or anything to prohibit them from working together? I think that the switch track piece would be a great piece to have in handy. Lot of ways it could be used.

Oh man I never thought about a brick built one! And I completely forgot that Lego train track doesnt have sloping pieces. Im such a train noob So as MetroiD says my only options are the official monorail stuff or brick built. Just from a bit of an estimate the two options are about the same in price. Monorail I would only have to buy the track and the monorail undercarriages to fit on the track. Brick built I would have to design my on way of creating it, getting pieces and then building the PF motor and I suspect that the motor would be too big for it. The official would look better I think. Nice curves instead of weird angled corners and actually looking like a monorail. I know I could probably brick built one that could look the same but then Im probably still spending $2.00NZ on a brick built straight that cost as much as the official monorail pieces. So Ive been a bit of a MOCing phase the last few weeks with building modular houses. And I thought to myself, could I build a lego city with a monorail in it? Now I wouldn't create the monorail with the monorail pieces as that would be horribly expensive. But would I be able to use regular train track pieces? Now I see a few complications with this. One, the turns, Im really quite stumped on how I could get the corners done in a city that has right angled corners. Any suggestions? Another is being able to sustain the track and a train (or multiple) in the air. Would 2x2 supports be enough to support it? And three is would the track look like it could really be used in a monorail type scenario? Ive always been interested in Lego trains and I would love to hear from you!

Two stands to hold it up?! It must be huge! It looks like a greeble machine! Im sure this will be a great set. Though Im not disappointed they didnt put Zuckuss and 4-LOM in the set. Im disappointed they put IG-88. Yes he is in the scene, but really. Weve had him so many times and without a redesign he is a really boring minifig in my opinion. Still I cant wait to see Dengar up close!

Season 4? Man I need to finish the third season then! Seems like some good stuff in the new season. But yeah Im not getting my hopes up cause as you guys said we have been expecting high since the second season.

I didnt use it anyway so Im not disappointed it's gone. I am glad with the removal of it the bugs are gone. They were annoying.

My copy doesn't take that long. They are long loading times but five minutes must mean there is something wrong with it. I would say it's the disc or you haven't patched it like SimonJedi said. One of the patches did improve load times but they were never 5 mins long. Maybe a minute tops.

I saw that Mace Windu's JSF is $59.99 at toy world. So it's a pretty good price to pay for it imo. The same as it is on fishpond.com and this way you could get it with 20% off. Went to k-mart just to see what kind of stockthey had of their clearance sets. Not much around, I guess I was too late. Oh well I didn't really want any of it anyway. Bought 2 series 3 Minifigs. I got that cyborg guy and a gorilla! The gorilla is so awesome!
