Looks like a good starting point for your community build! I'm liking the look of it so far, but I do have one concern/question. Would using plates on angles be better for constructing the sand dunes? That way the may be smoother than having the angled bricks. Though I think you may get gaps where they meet the base plate and the top.

Nerd I actually haven't seen it yet. It's rather embarrassing, does anyone have a link to it online? New Zealand TV won't get this. Ever.

I think the cheese slope designs is the best way to go for this. As long as it turns out looking good you shouldn't have any problems. I hope this MOC turns out great!

Yay confirmed news! Planetary sets - They seem pretty cool and neat, I just hope the planets actually visualise the planet that it truly is. The minis is a great idea and putting a really nice minifig in them is good stuff. Im just disappointed by Sebulba because these sets would be great for army building except no one wants a whole lot of Sebulbas. I hope they dont flop like the midi scaled sets. Mixed Battle Packs - Are a great idea. Sure we don't get to buy multiples of just the rebel or clones but it will make it a lot fairer when there's hundreds of Assassins battle packs sitting there and no Clones battle packs to be seen. And it's great we are getting a BP from both eras. That makes a lot of us incredibly happy. The Endor BP sounds incredible to me. The ratio to rebels to Imperials is just what I was expecting really, we are being treated with 5 minifigs. I hope Lego are able to fix up the Rebel helmets that don't stay on properly. Geonosian Cannon - Sounds ok to me. It's cool how we can now collect all these CW Geonosis sets to recreate the Geonosis episodes. Adding Gree in there is wonderful and he will definitely be a collectors item one day. I bet he'll look great next to Rex and Cody. A CW Barriss is actually a good idea. Then she will actually look normal next to all the other CW Jedi instead of sticking out like a sore, original thumb. Droid Escape - Finally a remake of this set! I've always loved the original of this set and always wanted it. Now that it's expanded a little bit is great stuff. I'm definitely getting this set and what would put the icing on the cake is if C3PO and R2 had dirt and grime printing from Tatooine. That would look incredible. TIE Fighter - Will be amazing, and with the addition of an X-Wing and Y-Wing to the list of sets these will be must haves. Miniifig selection is great and the set has great detail and compares really well to the real thing. The only problem is the bubble cockpit but I'm not really worried about that. I don't understand why they wanted to use that piece when the original TIE cockpit piece is completely fine. X-Wing - Incredible! I have the 2006 version and I will still get this one. Why? Porkins! It's amazing they added such an obscure character to one of their flagship sets. It's cool how they are putting in two droids, one for each pilot. That is really cool because on the 2006 version only R2 was added which meant he was always in there when whoever is piloting. Though FallenAngel, I doubt this is going to be the X-Wing to end all X-Wings. Sure it will be better than the previous one, but it will never be as well designed as the MOCs you rank so highly. I'm guessing we will see disappointment from you when we get the initial pictures. Y-Wing - Yes! It's definitely my favourite SW ship of all time so this is a must get for me. I thought the 2006 set was perfect for a system set so any improvements they can see will surely make this a better set. The minifigs are perfect. Another unique droid which is incredible and I can't wait to out all the different droids of 2012 side by side. Ceremonial Leia?! That's amazing! Icing on the cake! She will look amazing! I'm so glad I have Ceremonial Luke from the Visual Dictionary and I will definitely pick up the book with Ceremonial Han in it now. This will be a must get for sure. Oh so happy. Anakin's Jedi Interceptor - Amazing minifig selection! Anakin with the evil face is by far the stand out minifig to be. It sounds really awesome. A non-CW Nute Gunray is very welcomed to be. I just wonder how different it will be to the CW version as he's pretty good already. Obi Wan is always a good minifig to pick up. I haven't got a Ep 3 version of him yet so that's a bonus. The Interceptor is a ship we haven't had in ages and its good to get a refresh of it. The green while is an odd colour to have sounds really nice. Can't wait to see pictures of this set. Board Game - While I'm not a Lego game collector I will be interested to see how this one turns out. I hope they make good micro figs for the game cause a Micro Luke would look so cute! So 2012 sounds like it's going to be a great year for Star Wars Lego! I can't wait to find out what's in the next wave. Thanks for the info Mirandir! Even if it did sound a little dubious at the start. Perhaps the first post needs a bit of a tidy up now?

You aren't able to choose a picture from the photos app but you can still switch your avatar with a URL. This can be done by holding down the picture and press "copy". This will copy the URL for the picture and you paste it in to the off-site URL text box. Hope this helps

I'd love to play! 1) I've played in quite a few mafia games here on EB. I made it all the way to Imperial Soldier Mafia, went far in Dystopia Mafia, played a long with Lord Arjay in Hogwarts Mafia, helped win Eurodina Mafia for the noodles Family, though I f'd up in Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum that sucked hard, I technically won with the Dark Ones in but I was converted on the last night. So I've been pretty happy with my mafia games at EB. 2) I'm not going away at all and I will have great availability and connectivity to play. 3) That's the front page right? Or the banner at the top of each page? Cause when you press it it says in the link app=portal. 4)Hmm that's a toughie. I once said the word breast in front of 500 people. It's only comical cause it's the word breast not boob or tit. Or once I fell out of the top bunk bed and dislocated my shoulder and didn't wake up. That's pretty funny right?

I think it is still targeted to the younger kids. Though the game can go super hardcore. Things like natures, EVs and move sets can inject strategy into the game. I personally don't do it though. For me it takes out some of the character of the game and turns your pokemon into mindless drones. Still I think getting all 646 pokemoni is still quite an achievement at any age and that's what I'm striving for at the moment.

Wow theres that many CW Jedi? I wouldn't have guessed it. That's a really nice shot Oky I think the first one is definitely my favourite. But why does Plo have a green lightsabre?

I recently bought the Battle of Geonosis. I really like the set too. The turret is a lot bigger than what I expected it to be and the tilting mechanism works really well and is hidden nicely. The minifigs are really nice in this set too. Luminara even though she is a Clone Wars minifig, has a great head piece and the printing on the legs and torso both link up well on mine. Captain Rex is good to get as the only other set he's been in is the AT-TE which was a tad too expensive. Now I have a taste for the named Clones. I guess I'll have to buy the Genosian Starfighter now for Cody. Though I have two annoyances with the set. One is the trigger for the big bullet is red which sticks out like a sore thumb on the turret. And the other is the Droid can't really sit well in the seat of the turret because its tiled and it just slides around easily. But other than that it's a very good set to boost your CIS defensives up with!

Surprisingly they aren't that discounted by much. The $25 set is still $25 and the Ostrich Race set is discounted to $20. Can't remember what the other prices are but I know they aren't discounted enough for me to buy them. Haha I was thinking about the Ostrich Race set but it isn't much of a parts pack at all. The only good thing about it is the ostriches and they aren't worth $20.

My local k mart, in Hamilton, has PoP sets for prices lower than RRP. I think Farmers may have some too. But check all the stores that stock Lego in your area as they may have left over stock anywhere. Bought the Battle of Genosis set today. It's pretty good and I'm surprised at the size of the Turret. I really thought it was going to be pretty small. Luminara is a really nice minifg. Has got some really great printing on her. Captain Rex I love to have. He's such a rare minifg and looks really good. Is there any sale on Star Wars Lego on Toy World at all? I was there today but didn't see any signage for it...

What's strange to me about this is there is only going to be 6 sets in this first wave. Now don't we usually get 11 or 12? This is confusing me, are they trying to spread sets more over the year by dividing the traditional waves into two smaller ones so they have 4 launches? Or are they trying to wind down the SW line and ween us off it? Or is it just a mistake and they only have fully developed 6 sets? But that would be pushing it quite close to the January deadline I think. Hmm it's definitely something to think about...

Finally a new TIE Fighter! I do like on the wings they have a mixture of studs and smooth pieces which looks quite nice. Though the connections between the cockpit and wings kinda looks unfinished Im sure they will be able to improve it in due time. The minifigs are really great though. The Death Star Trooper looks amazing. The helmet has incredible detail and just from him I already want to pick this set up. New astromech design! It looks incredible. Im so glad Lego are giving us variation for the droids in the new piece. Queen Amidala is another fantastic minifig. The skirt design is incredible and should transformed for normal Lego use in another Lego set. Im so glad Lego are giving us these new minifigs that we have wanted forever. I can't wait to see which set Queen Amidala shows up in. A Theed Palace playset? Or her shiny ship?

I don't think the minifig is Han will be. It's just a Lego movie and even if it is why would you consider it canon anyway? He looks cute but has no exclusive pieces so it doesn't really appeal to me at all. But if the movie ends up being good I may pick it up.

This new is insane! I love how this just puts to bed so many rumours of new lines and rereleases. I hope everyone wanting the sets makes sure to pick them all up. We dont want to have a repeat of Batman now do we? The minifigs looks pretty damn good. I think my favourites have to be Thor and Wolverine. Largely because they do look absolutely erfect and Lego has done a tremendous job on them. The Batman minifigs, to be honest, look kinda the same as the last line we had them. But thats just me. The minifigs I dont like the look of are Hulk and Iron Man. Hulk, even though the scale is correct just doesnt look right that big. I would have loved a normal Hulk minifig instead of a big mould for him. Iron Man's head is all Im concerned about. His head piece is just way too big. Though maybe it is a helmet instead of a whole piece that would make more sense. This will be great for everyone and I cant wait to see what the sets turn out like. Bring on 2012!

I think in this instance, it's just a Popsicle really. It's like how they included a mug for Admiral Ackbat in the Home One play set. I like it when Lego does stuff like this. It shows they have a really good sense of humour. Hans hood piece has had a really remodelling. It looks a lot fluffier that the older version. One thing I do see that's odd about this set is the green tree branch/leaf on the set. Is it meant to be moss? Or actual foliage on hoth? Thanks for the high res pic Grogall!

Aw man that totally sucks. I hope it's not too bad. Is/was there much to clean up? I hope you can get all your pieces and minifigs looking new again!

So with the appearance of a 1 in 5 solid gold C3PO here at EB, I started to wonder something. So the Silver and Bronze C3PO are more "rare" than the gold C3PO having only one of each made. However they are made of a lesser metal than the gold C3PO. Do you guys think the Gold version is worth more? Or the rarer, lesser metal versions of Silver and Gold? It's quite a conundrum.
